Absolute garbage. Supposed to be a June box and a free February box and £35 worth of Gruum products. Received 2 x June boxes. No other stuff. Trying to cancel subscription which is proving very difficult. Avoid. My first foray with subscriptions like this and it’ll be my last !

I tried a trial box I stated I didn’t not wish to continue with them after the trial I have actual messages from glossy box stating that my subscription was cancelled that the auto renewal was cancelled that no more money would be taken and that April would be the final box. In May they took more money out when I contacted them they refunded the money but suddenly a 12 month subscription has appeared on my account and now I’m being told I can’t cancel it till the 12 months is up. I’ve tried contacting customer service but I get the same auto generated response. I’ve shared the messages they sent me and they are just ignored you need to pay the 12 month term is what I’m told. I did not sign up for this!
Edit - I did not get a message from Glossybox through my trust pilot account so another fob off from this shocking company.

I’ve never felt more like I’m in some sort of black mirror thing, it’s honestly horrible, I’ve opted out of texts repeatedly since I signed up for glossy box more than a year ago, I’ve never been taken off the mailing list AND for some reason I can’t block the number on iPhone, it just unblocks straight away because it isn’t actually attached to any number, it’s honestly scary I don’t know how to get away from the messages!!! I am hoping posting this will help resolve the problem!

Absolute disgrace of a company. I ordered a 12 month beauty subscription box for my sister in Laws 40th birthday back in April 2024 and decided now to cancel the subscription as it will automatically renew after the year and I was also worried that I would forget to do it.
So I got in touch with the company via chat to be told that I am not able to cancel the auto renewal. It would have to be cancelled by my sister in law. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, basically the company are saying that if my sister in law decided to auto renew her gift that I purchased out of my own account then she could and I would have to pay for it!!!
This should be illegal and I will never use this company again!

I had enormous difficulty trying to cancel my subscription when I thought I had made a one off payment for a good offer.
Once I realised I had signed up to a subscription I cancelled the same day the box arrived only to be informed that I was too late (?!) and my next month's payment would be processed and taken.
It's a catch. Don't fall for it.

Absolutely awful. The boxes will repeat items basically every month so you only end up with a few new things every now and again. On top of this the customer service is awful and once you subscribe you feel very stuck. Try to cancel and you’ll get no where with no good answers or help through any of their messaging services

Ordered a gift subscription for my friend but the redemption email isn’t working. Customer services keep telling me they are looking into it but I’m getting no resolution. I’ve paid for a product for my friend and she’s received nothing. Bizarre service!! If I don’t hear anything this week, I will be contacting a consumer watchdog

Impossible to cancel subscription...AVOID AVOID AVOID, I wished to cancel my subscription as I was sick of getting the same products. I have lost count of the amount of travel shampoos, conditioner, dry shampoo, horrible body lotions and multiple blushers that I have been sent.
My subscription was for 12 months and ends at the end of November 2024. I emailed on the 1st of November to cancel as the website advises you can cancel before the 14th of the month. I checked my bank and the first payment came out on the 30th Nov 2023 so was within the timescale.
An agent advised that they could give me a month for free which I wasn't interested in or go ahead and cancel. I replied today to say yes, please cancel to then get a response from a different agent 'Stephen' who someone else has left a negative review on Trust Pilot about to say that as I was on a 12 month fixed plan I had to pay until 01/10/2025. Are you actually joking!!! My auto re-new for my plan is switched off but noticed that my December amount is still due to come out. How the hell are they allowed to do this if my auto re-new is switched off.
Absolutely disgusting service which I've told them. Why do customers have to jump through hoops when they want to cancel a subscription.
I have sent them a screen shot that my auto re- new is switched off, if they try and take any more money I will report them for theft to my bank and initiate a charge back, refuse delivery and report them to Action Fraud and Which. I also have screen shots of my bank account and when my subscription first came out so will be challenging them if they refuse to cancel my subscription.
AVOID - REPETITIVE PRODUCTS AND AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE
Quick update for those who cant cancel...I forgot to update sorry...so after the above I contacted my bank and explained the circumstance via web chat, (Halifax) who immediately blocked the payment for 13 months. When Glossy Box told me I still had to pay I told them my bank had blocked the payment and they cancelled my subscription straightaway..DONT BE BULLIED!!!

Coupon offer of buy 5 boxes for the price of4 was deceiving since the deal did not appear until I put 7 boxes in the cart so I had to buy 7 boxes for the offer. Even though the prices were great, it was still deceitful.

Said I was refunded for an order that couldn't be fulfilled but there is no record of a refund of that $100.
Other than that, I've found the site to be a great source of gifts for friends and colleagues at prices that don't break the bank.
