Arrived on time. Went together with ease. Pleased with the attractive result. It is not cumbersome.

The order was not delivered with the complete set of dowels. I phoned the main 0345 number and was misled and sent to a branch to collect dowels; when I arrived that they were not available. For the sake of refunding me for a few dowels they were more focussed on who gave me the incorrect instructions on their 0345. The customer service was shockingly poor with little thought for the customer experience which could have been easily resolved.
Hence, I had to order dowels from Amazon, which I informed them of and requested a refund. Again no response was provided. I will not be buying from this organisation again

There isn't an option to rate specific products on the site, so this review is targeted at the outdoor day bed and the following customer service.

We received the product and it was nice enough, although there were several marks on the paint already coming straight out of the box. Upon assembly and placing the outdoor product outside, we noticed that in less than a week, the paint had severely peeled away. You would expect this maybe after a year outside, but in less than a week on a £400 product, this was shocking. We emailed Futon Company about it, and they said that we should not keep the product outside. It is an outdoor bench, designed by a company who specialise in furniture for small living space, so why would we order an outdoor bench that needs bringing inside our flat after every use... When we pushed back, we were told we could return it. We didn't have the original packaging and were told that if we really wanted to return it we could request more packaging, disassemble it, and organise it to be couriered back to them to inspect.

Ultimately, it is a poorly designed product at a pretty premium price point. The paint peeled away within a week, and no rain. The cushion is also poorly designed - in the image it appears to fold into shape, but it is one stiff flat cushion with no perforation to allow folding. As a consequence when there's no one sitting on it, it springs up and looks awful. Only reason we haven't returned it is that Futon Company made such a big deal of it. Out of coincidence we live right next to one of their franchises, and when we told them about this problem, thye were shocked at the response of head office (we fully appreciate there's nothing the franchise could do as we didn't order it from them, but they shared our surprise). Wouldn't order from Futon Company again.

We had one of the bed in a bag from many years ago and were pleased with it. Very pleasantly surprised that the new on matched in both size and quality.

Very expensive delivery
Furniture looks nice but quality is very disappointing. I bough the laddered chest of drawer. All the drawers are misalign and from the side they don’t close properly.

These folding chairs are great for use in the garden but elegant enough for use indoors. Well made but care needs to be taken when moving that all four corners are secured otherwise they’re not completely safe to sit on.
The delivery company was appalling with about 12 emails mostly repetitive and scheduled delivery time continually changing. They came days later than promised. Great comfortable chairs. though!

A truly helpful lady at the Guildford branch took such trouble helping me past the slightly negative ordering system and helped me get a futon day bed shipped the Isle of Wight for my wife’s birthday

I emailed asking a question on 16th July, website says they will reply in 2 working days. Emailed again 23rd July as no response. Still no response today 30th July. Non existent customer service
