As expected still super wonderful teamwork make this at somewhere near the very top of the lines, and we have been on quite a few, which was unexpected when we first traveled with them, being a little snobbish !!

How wrong were we?

Fabulous cruise with Fred Olsen! Amazing standard all round

ROSYTH CHECK IN WAS CHAOTIC. DUE TO IT FAILURES WE WERE REQUIRED TO STAND IN EITHER A BLAZING SUN OR GO INTO A FILTHY TENT WITH NO FACILITIES. NO WATER NO TOILETS

The staff in all areas were very friendly and polite especially Elly who attended my cabin and waiters in the restaurants.
We were made to feel welcome on boarding the ship.
The speakers during the day,the entertainment in the evening, all very good.
I enjoyed my Fred Olsen Cruise Holiday

Our favourite ship,crew staff performers,food brilliant, would like to shout out for Sarah and Dave Cunningham the ukulele tutors, their first time on FO thay were outstanding, very professional and really friendly.

This was a good holiday and everything was well organised and the staff were caring and helpful. The entertainment was alright but. Iwouldhave preferred some bridge and I felt the sport watching on the ship took second place to bingo and musical entertainment!

The onboarding and disembarkation at every stage was well organised and communicated well.
The ship (Borealis) was showing signs of its age (1997) but everything in our cabin worked as it should and around the ship, evertything functioned well. The sea days were filled with activities and the shore excursions for the ports that we visited were great. The crew made the difference between a good cruise and and exceptional one. Friendly and welcoming staff who made our cruise extra special. Excellent booking service and helpful information up to our departure. Enjoyed the wide variety of food from The View restaurant, variety of lounges and bars with live music and the theatre shows were second to none.

Fred Olsen staff are amazing. They get to know their customers and look after them so well. My husband had a stroke that left him with memory issues. The staff were patient and helpful, particularly the restaurant staff. Also the on shore service, who made sure we got an early dining slot.

I was recently on my fourth (second solo) cruise with F.O cruise lines, I love the personal touch that they haven't lost touch with, even though the crew don't know you (unless you've sailed many, many times!), they make you feel that they do, they can't do enough for you, always friendly, helpful and welcoming. From the booking experience (I book through a TA, but receive confirmation very promptly) to boarding, during the cruise and disembarkation, it's always a smooth experience. They cater expertly for solo cruisers as well as couples, with meet ups for solo cruisers looking to connect with other solos on the same sailing, which is always a great event to do. The food is always varied, whether it be in the buffet or the main restaurants, catering for all tastes with plenty of choices and delicious. Entertianment is first class, much of the time like being in a 'West End' theatre, they have a vast variety of shows to choose from and the daytime activities are varied too, most of the time, not knowing what to do, as they clash! All my future cruises are booked with F.O, I have tried many other cruise lines, but I return to F.O, who cater for my needs excellently.

We have had several cruises with the lovely smaller ships that FO have. Very smooth arrival, we use their port carpark (ABP) which is a convenient (less than 10minute walk) secure place to park. It took us about 20 minutes to arrive at check-in (car park to boarding on the ship) 🙌🏻

Once onboard you check in with your lifeboat attendant so you are familiar with where you MIGHT… but probably WON’T get to use!

THEN… you literally make yourself at home.

Staff give you a very warm welcome, then they treat you like a good family… nothing is too much trouble and if they can’t immediately help or answer you they won’t stop until you are sorted.
So many staff are there to help make your cruise perfect, from the fantastic cabin teams to the food & bar staff, entertainment staff… even the engineers when we a/the tour of the ship (a paid for event… so eye opening!)

And of course like any cruise we are in the capable hand of the Captain, who is just as friendly & jovial as the bartenders.

We l̶i̶k̶e̶ love FO because of their, ships, ship staff, land (office) staff (like the staff onboard the FO telephone contact is super too).

Cabins are perfect, noise from other passengers is nonexistent. With a window is perfect for us but have had several windowless cabins & it hadn’t ruined our holiday at all.

I don’t want to try any other company because in my eyes Fred can’t be topped

Another great trip, fantastic time great shows , great food and staff are amazing , nothing is to much trouble highly recommended , now the diet starts !!!!

Small ship. Easy to find way around. Plenty of activities on board. Good information communication.

After over 25 years cruising with different cruise lines we tried Fred Olsen for the first time in July 26. My overall feeling was why on earth did we wait so long! The service, food and just overall cruise experience was outstanding with the ‘small ship vibe’ and ‘onboard family feeling’ winning hands down for us. We will be sailing with Fred again soon.

A fabulous cruise, exceptional staff, always smiling and helpful. Stunning scenery around Ireland friendly charming people on excursions. All helped by beautiful weather

Some lovely crew, nice food, good entertainment. Felt certain touches lacking in cabin; no robes and slippers, and there was a charge imposed if you drank the bottle of mineral water left on the table. It would have been a nice gesture to include it as complimentary.

Our third Fred Olsen cruise. Smaller ships, excellent itineraries, attentive staff, quality entertainment. Caters to UK clientele (not an issue!). Highly recommend if you're looking for a lovely experience without thousands of passengers. Only drawback as an American is the difficulty booking through the website. I have had to call directly each time. Customer service, however, is outstanding.

Big bonus with freedom fares. Good wine with meals was a bonus
Borealis needs a second swimming pool even if there are no children on board, the current pool is too small for 1000+ passemgers
