Staff outstanding. Food very good too. Entertainment super.

Booking process was good and we were well looked after by the Staff. During the extremely hot weather that we encountered we felt everything possible was done to keep us comfortable.

Excellent service, friendly, helpful staff and wonderful food

The cruise was super and the staff as usual very polite and attentive. We thought Cherbourg was disappointing and a waste of time. The return trip would have benefitted going up the west coast and perhaps stopping in Ireland. An improved itinerary from Rosyth please

We had a great family holiday from day one, when we boarded independently, 8 of us, in Rosyth till. 12 days later we disembarked with ease. All our earlier booking and cabin needs had been dealt with by friendly staff.
Food and accommodation fabulous; staff, ever helpful and polite; trips , well organised and free bus transfers excellent.
We had to cancel at trip at the last minute because of the extreme heat in Bordeaux which meant we lost our payments but, both being in our mid 80’s it was the correct medical judgement on our part.
Our three children and their partners had a wonderful time and will be eager future cruisers.
Otherwise Fred is the greatest.

Nice friendly crew always there to help with a smile ☺️ on their face,

We were well looked after from start to finish. Food was good. Entertainment excellent. A big improvement from last time we cruised with you. Crew excellent as always. Especially Lloyd and Dave in Spey restaurant.
I was especially impressed your response to our Penny for your thoughts postcard.

Avoided the set meals completely after one encounter with the company I was assigned. There was nothing unpleasant about them. One elderly lady looking after a very elderly aunt. I might as well have been alone. Theresa (Phillippines) looked after my cabin, and was charming and helpful.

It’s a well run and efficient company which puts the needs of the travellers first. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
Some of the tours need to be refined a little to cope with the less mobile guests (and there were quite a few) - I realise that the people who choose the tours are outwith your control, however maybe a short sitting/cafe break could be factored in to some of the walking tours?

This was an enjoyable holiday. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful, particularly the restaurant and bar staff. Our suite was comfortable and well maintained. The entertainment was varied and overall enjoyable. The lectures given by Ian Swankie were interesting and well presented. We particularly enjoyed the visit to the submarine art exhibition, the same could not be said for the visit to the Restaurant in Rouen which fell well short of our expactations, however we were given a refund of most of the price for this. Overall we were well pleased with our experience and would do another cruise with Fred Olsen.

Many things have changed and not for the better

We had a fantastic time on board Balmoral to France from the time we board to disembarking!!
Staff as always great, especially Yani our cabin maid, Cloudine and Geraldine in the Thistle Restaurant who all looked after us very well.
Food was great, I liked the sea food at lunchtime fab!

I have done many cruises, this was my 1st with Fred Olsen, it was 1st class from start to finish. The food The staff The entertainment i found nothing to complain about

Good food, good service. Inclusion of wine/beer with meals a definite plus

A very pleasant holiday. Food was well prepared and tasty. Staff were all friendly and polite, especially the waiters in the bars and restaurants.
Day trips were not all so exceptional. Particularly liked trip to submarine art base as something we had not previously seen.

That was my 5 cruise with you and it’s even better than some of the last ones you’ve staff are out of this world and the you organise everything is exelent I have booked another cruise for next year and that was done on board staff there were so helpful

Everything, from comfortable cabins, amazing food, brilliant staff. Entertainment was amazing. Would certainly book with fred olsen again
