I have waited more than a year to review my experience of RLE with Mr Hamada. The change in my eyes has been miraculous, because of a severe astigmatism I was advised to have enhanced monofocal lenses. Prior to the surgery I was having trouble with my sight at all distances, and now I just use glasses for close up reading. Also rather than expensive varifocals I just need a pair of cheap readers and have been told that my sight should stay like this and not deteriorate as I get older. The follow-up in the clinic is fantastic and more than a year later I have just had a small LASIK to one eye to improve the result, everything being included in the initial cost. I recommended the surgery to my husband who was able to have the multifocal lenses and is now glasses free. We both recommend the surgery and Focus clinic.

I would give 10 stars if I could. I can’t recommend the Focus clinic highly enough. The whole experience is flawless. They take really good care of their patients. You go through many tests and checks to make sure you have the right treatment (I had LASIK surgery). They recommend what’s best for you without pushing to buy and the treatment was outstanding. You get to meet to meet Dr Alamby several times throughout the process which makes it very personal. I ended up with 20/12 vision straight after surgery and the aftercare has been great! And pricewise, very competitive. Premium service all round.

I recently underwent LASIK eye treatment, and I can say it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. From start to finish, the entire process was very smooth and professional.

The surgery itself was straightforward. I experienced only slight discomfort, but not painful. The team were very reassuring and the process was completed very quickly. I was surprise with the immediate improvement in my vision. I was expecting my eyes to be quite sore post-surgery and honestly didn't expect them to function much right away. However, they were fine with only felt slightly uncomfortable almost like I had old contact lenses on! I spent the rest of the day resting my eyes as advised, and by the next day, I was able to resume my normal life (with caution)

I opted for Ray Tracing Guided LASIK. Now, my overall vision is better than 20/20, and the freedom from glasses and contacts is incredible.

After going back and forth, debating whether or not I should take the first step into fixing my eye sight, I finally organised a consultation at Focus Clinics and long story short, I’ve booked my treatment.

Let me start at the beginning. For full transparency, I work for the marketing agency that looks after Focus Clinics and therefore I know first hand just how incredible this practice is. I’m also paying for the full treatment myself.

David’s reputation precedes him and there’s a reason why he’s got the reviews he does. I booked a consultation as I wanted to discuss having ray-tracing guided lasik, a new technology that again having known David and been involved in it, I’ve seen produce incredible results - he’s treated patients with -8 prescriptions with the technology who now have 20/20 vision.

I’ve watched every YouTube video, TikTok and patient review over and over (purely out of excitement) to demonstrate that when I want to buy something or have something such as a medical treatment, I will research until I can’t research any more - I even walked into the practice already having an idea of what was going to happen…

When you arrive at the clinic, it’s clear to see just how professional they are. I had a warm welcome before waiting no more than a few minutes before my first round of eye tests. Each professional I saw really knew their stuff and immediately put me at ease.

Once all my scans and health checks were complete, I sat down with David to discuss the findings. This is where his knowledge really shone. He walked through EVERY detail, and despite already knowing just how good he was from our working relationship, even this shocked me. I was merely having a discussion about the laser eye surgery process and yet all I could think about was booking the next available appointment.

Lucky for me, my eyes are in good health with a re-measured prescription of -1.5 and -1.75 (not much change from my last eye test which is important). David assured me that ray-tracing would provide great results and 5 minutes later, I sat down with the lovely reception team to get booked in. I was handed a treatment guide/booklet, which contains so much information on the process, after care, common questions and advice - this again showed me how Focus are levels above any other clinic.

I’ll be writing a few reviews after my treatment (which is booked in for August 14th) as well as having the entire procedure filmed as I’m determined to be open with my experience as I know there’s many of you in the same position as me who are constantly wanting to see reviews before taking the leap.

The thorough analysis, checks and professionalism instantly reassured me that I’d chosen the right clinic. Afterall, this is your eye sight, don’t skip out of ‘cheaper’ options.

I would like to start by saying that I have not yet begun treatment. However, upon signing up for a phone call with Focus Clinic, I initially had a lot of hesitation about laser eye surgery and uncertainty about which clinic I should choose. Just five minutes into the call, though, I already knew which clinic had won me over.

I spoke with Parsheen Patel, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and took the time to speak very highly about the doctor and the clinic’s approach to patient care. His confidence, expertise, and professionalism immediately reassured me and made it clear which clinic I wanted to pursue and commit to.

I believe it is incredibly important for clinics to offer clear insight into what patients can expect. Since the first time I spoke to Prasheen on the telephone consultation to after my laser eye surgery, the team at Focus clinic have been amazing and assuring me that everything will be all fine. I got recommend to Focus clinic by my two neighbours who had their laser eye surgeries at Focus Clinic. By hearing their experience I didn’t look no further and booked a free consultation with Focus Clinic. I then booked a face to face consultation and heard all of the options I had to choose from if I wanted to go ahead with laser eye surgery. I then had my laser eye surgery last week and it was a great decision I made with going with Focus Clinic. Dr David Allamby was very thorough in going through the details of the surgery which made me feel comfortable in everything that was going to happen. I can’t thank the team at Focus Clinic enough!

LIFE CHANGING!! I had ray tracing lasik in May 2025, and the results have been incredible. I was previously -2.25 and -4, and now I’m not just 20/20 vision but 20/12. I had an astigmatism so in the past I’d see a lot of starbursts from lights when driving, now I can’t believe it when I go out at night and all the lights just have a soft glow around them instead of loads of lines. Dr Allamby does what feels like a complete miracle, but clearly very skilled, experienced and talented work.

I decided to get laser because a friend had it done years ago and loved it. I looked at the place they had gone but the reviews seemed really mixed, so I did a lot of research and came across Focus Clinics. I was almost put off when I saw all positive reviews because I thought it was too good to be true but it really is as good as the reviews say.

Dr Allamby and his team are very detailed, and careful. They go through everything with you. My eyes were too dry initially to be able to do it which surprised me because I’d not known that before. So he recommended supplements and drops prior and this then got me to a place where I could have it done. I went for ray tracing because I wanted the best possible outcome and I’m so pleased I did.

I’m an anxious squeamish person so the thought of the procedure terrified me. I knew I was in the best hands but the thought of what they were doing I still found daunting. I had a diazepam beforehand which helped take the edge off, but I still found it nerve wracking as a process. One of the reviews I read describe the procedure as intense and being able to smell it, and I’d agree it was a strange and intense experience but not painful, and the smell didn’t really bother me at all. I had been so worried about trying to not blink and keeping my eyes focused, but as they had tried to reassure me the whole way along it’s really not a problem and you basically just carry on blinking the whole time. I think I actually looked away during the procedure and they just paused and carried on again. The procedure was weird but if I had to do it again I absolutely would without hesitation.

I didn’t realise how incredible I would find it to be able to see clearly and it feels like a weight has lifted that I hadn’t realised was there before. Although I wanted it done, it’s surprised me just how amazing I’m found it. The other doctors were so kind before and after the procedure, and lesya was so helpful in fielding all my questions in the run up.

I am so grateful to Dr Allamby and his team. I can’t believe they do this day in day out with what seems like so much ease. I’m so impressed by the whole experience - truly remarkable, thank you thank you thank you Dr Allamby and your team!!!

I’m now 6 months post-surgery and I’m so pleased with the results! I had a small prescription (about -2) and I’ve had perfect vision since the surgery. Aftercare was great and I would highly recommend for anyone thinking to go for laser!

I recently had LASIK with ray tracing at Focus Clinics, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From the very first appointment, everything was handled with incredible detail and care. The initial consultation was excellent, thorough, and really put me at ease.

When I returned to meet David, it was immediately clear that he is a true expert in his field. He took the time to explain absolutely everything, and if you had any questions, he would go into as much detail as you needed. After my first appointment, I was originally thinking of going with the standard LASIK. However, after David talked me through the differences with ray tracing, I decided to go for it, and I’m so glad I did. I honestly can’t believe how incredible my vision is now. It is on another level compared to even my best days wearing glasses or contact lenses.

I’m not normally an anxious person, so I wasn’t too worried leading up to the surgery. I will say though, the procedure itself was more intense than I expected. That said, it was over very quickly, and David and the two surgical nurses were absolutely amazing the whole way through. They were calm, reassuring, and incredibly professional.

One final tip for anyone thinking about it: arrange a private transfer home after the surgery. I had considered using public transport but decided against it, and I’m so glad I didn’t. Having a smooth, comfortable journey home made a big difference.

I had the ray-tracing guided LASIK performed 6 days ago and I am so pleased with the results. Only 1 day after the operation, my vision was already 20/12 (super-vision).

The consultations and scans were meticulously performed, and each part of the process was well explained in a clear way. On the day of, the operation was very quick and smooth (it must have taken less than 10 minutes total), and I felt well cared for throughout by Dr Allamby and his team, who took the time to talk through the steps so I could feel at ease. I felt no pain throughout the procedure, and apart from a minor headache in the first few hours post-op, I've had no discomfort since. The staff also provided me with post-LASIK care set with eye drops, steroids, etc.
