New requirement to have a pro account to view mature account is greedy. I've been a member for 20 years and don't think I'll use Flickr any more.

They don't want you to sign up.
Account creation failed, no matter what I do, it's all I get.
All of my email addresses are "invalid", for some reason.
The joke is it gives me a help link that offers no help and no access to contact them because I can't create an account.
Oh well, that's that.
I guess they don't want or need customers or subscribers with content.
Flickr deleted my account without any…
Flickr deleted my account without any notice or explanation! I have nothing on my page that would be considerd nude or inapropriate and I have not in any way been mean to someone or anything. I have no idea what so ever on why they deleted it and the customer service is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of!

It was better until 2021
It was better until 2021
Nowadays, when you search names of random politicians, there's a face of some transgender person with a purple suit promoting a book about Biden or something (Forgot that persons name), and that photo being uploaded 50000 times.
Had my for a long time
Had my account for a long time, saved over 1,000 pictures but because I didn't upgrade to pro after a certain time they closed my account, no warning, just closed it, I didn't save any of my pics on any other device, lost forever, absolute rubbish platform, do not trust them.
Flickr has many problems
Flickr has many small problems, e.g. likes or invitations or new content from people you follow not showing up. I could live with these things so far. Today however they blocked my account because after two years they found out that some of my photos were "mislabeled", which in my opinion were not. Now I set every photo of a woman, dressed or partially dressed to "moderate" or "restricted" and asked them to unblock my account. Nothing happened, although I am a pro member. Probably not for much longer.
What a horrible services
They have suspended my page, forcing me to either pay or delete lots of content.
I have been using their services for about 10 years, I have paid couple times for their Pro membership and this is how they treat me. They just shut down my page without warning.
The other competition offers its people decent free services. Meanwhile Flickr barely offers anything exclusive with the Pro membership. You know other platforms also allow you to post unlimited high quality images that you can zoom in. So what's the benefit or Pro? Because their audience is becoming smaller with each year. Their app is still broken, like failing to upload an image with all the text you wrote, so you start from the beginning.
What they are doing, most likely, is collecting money from their loyal customers before they finally bankrupt. Shame.
What they need to do is offer subscription tiers, because not everyone is willing to pay almost 100USD per year, if they don't post often. Make smaller tiers, you know, something that most of the cloud service providers offer!!! Just zero user-friendliness.
Don't Waste Your Time
Don't Waste Your Time. I uploaded 141 Photos of UK National Trust venues and around 4 videos. Thankfully I still have them on Facebook. Came to add some more 15/03/24 and Account has gone. So these people will destroy your memories of travels and experiences at the blink of an eyelid, - for goodness sake don't trust Flickr. I can only warn you here on Trustpilot.
Being forced to buy Flickr Pro
Been a member since 2017 went through all the hassle with the content levels, safe, moderate, restricted. No problem did loose the first account with nearly 500,000 views but second has nearly 12million. Only to find that Flickr will only let my pic library stay as it is IF I BUY FLICKR PRO. Because apparently now my photos don't conform.
Flickr now is just a money grabbing waste of computer space or people are looking at pics they don't want to see then complaining. Makes you wonder about personal responsibility.
Just signed up to Flickr Pro
Just signed up to Flickr Pro, monthly plan, and immediately reminded of why I gave up on you a while ago. First upload, and about half way it says image stalled, retry. Clicked to try again, and it has made no progress at all for these last two hours. Refreshed the page, and the upload starts again, but from the very beginning. Even the album I created is deleted.
Please, please, create a robust upload system which can start again from any upload point. It's not difficult, but I'm not really wanting to pay top dollar for 1990s ftp technology.
Leaving after many years...
The App is flakey... Don't even try to upload short videos... the app stalls... Importantly these days there is no two factor authentication. After all these years I will be leaving once my subscription is up for renewal
Used them for a few months
Used them for a few months, free account, only uploaded 30 or 40 pics of plants, then they deleted account and said they could not say why.
Terrible company
The only reason for one star is there is no option for no stars. I had a pro account, paid sixty odd pounds for it, it was deleted with no explanation after just over a month. DO NOT GIVE THIS DREADFUL COMPANY YOUR MONEY
Choose another photo hosting site
Wow after 15 years of being with these clowns paying monthly membership for most of that time I’ve found today my account taken down . I still have all y pictures but no one can see them. No point anymore Flickr has got worse and worse over the years . You need to look for a better platform you will regret it for sure if you use these for picture storage or hosting… Customer service is unreal to be honest no reason for their actions not even a response to my email.
Flickr not only stole my money, but killed my passion
Flickr not only stole my money (£111), but also killed my passion.for photography
I have been a member of Flickr for over 19 years (since 2004). During that period I uploaded up to 48K safe images (i.e identified by Flickr as “acceptable to a global, public audience for what would be appropriate for public viewing in any setting”) into different categories (albums). Throughout this time I had so many followers. However, on 12 June 2023 the Flickr support people, (Jenny, and Olivia) took a decision to delete my entire account of images without giving me any specific reasons for their decision or prior warning. I sent emails to the help desk to find out what violations in my safe images had been discovered. Both wrote me that “They are not at liberty to discuss the specifics of accounts closed for violations”, which makes it impossible for me to understand the cause of this deletion and what warranted the closing down of my account.
To make matters worse, I had paid £111.84, on 18th May 2023, for a further 2 years subscription to Flickr. In the second email from the help desk, Olivia wrote to me that “Per our Terms of Use that you read and agreed to, Flickr does not provide refunds or partial refunds for unused subscription time should you close your account prematurely, or should your actions cause Flickr to terminate your account.”; but as far as I remember Flickr took £111.84 from my bank account automatically without any reminder about that clause agreement. Also I should mention I do not recall ever being provided with that term of non payment clause.
I tried to contact the Don MacAskill, the CEO of Flickr and SmugMug in order to ask him why Flickr help desk had deleted my entire 48K images. I wrote him via Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin. Unfortunately I did not receive any answers from him or anybody else. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience with this website?
Money, money, money…
I have used Flickr for many years and it has slowly turned into a super slots cash machine with little winnings. When it went from a whole Tb to 1000 photos that was dire enough. Then it changed to only 50 photos maximum can be in the public domain. The poor rating in general show how people has lost confidence in Flickr. The price tag to go pro is way too much when one can just store data elsewhere for pennies. I think people need to look around to see what suits their needs better.
Just lost all my data
Privacy concerns
I created a Flicker account and the first thing I've noticed that almost my full email address was used as a user name. All privacy settings were also set on the least level of privacy.
