I'm sooo disappointed by Fiverr service and its level of customer service. Its freelancers are a joke. I had one deliver but only partly did the job and one who said they had started but I had to keep... See more

Fiverr doesn't vet their jobbers. Waste of time and effort
Too you can't give Fiverr negative stars. Their customer service will lie to you.
I spent more than a week getting information from one of their jobbers. We settled on prices for several projects and the offers were forthcoming. The next morning before I could get to the bank and transfer funds, the jobber vanished. At first I thought it was a computer glitch on their site because they sent me a email prompt to finish/accept the offers. But nothing worked except for 'Elvis has left the building' dialog box.
In other words, I spent a week trying to qualify someone for a gig with a jobber Fiverr hadn't vetted. Either the jobber was a crafty bot or fraudster. Either way Fiverr didn't do its job.
After dozens of messages to customer neglect, they only gave me a partial answer--essentially a lie by omission. Even more suspicious I suddenly had dozens of hits for my job. Originally there'd been only a couple jobbers that fit my description.
Luckily I didn't lose any money, but a did waste a whole bunch of time on their site. I can't get back my time.
I delivered the work, client got refunded. Fiverr didn't contact me.
I delivered the work. Client accepted it. Later client made fiverr support cancelled the order and got his money back.
Fiverr did not even contact me. Fiverr is a good platform for any buyer that wants free work. Get the work and get your money. Not for Freelancer.
I used to really like Fiverr
I used to really like Fiverr, but it looks like they are not doing any screening against AI / Chatbots. I've contacted a designer and based on the responses it does not seem to be a human. It's a pity because the idea of the platform is great, but this is frustrating, especially as the account also had good reviews.
Customer support does not exist
I just spent two hours trying to make a payment for an offer that I received from my accountant. Whenever I clicked "Accept" it showed me the message saying "An error occurred. Please try again or contact support." I looked up this problem on the internet, asked all AI bots, I even tried contacting fiverr's own AI agent, which they generously call "Customer Support". No result whatsoever, all I got was general recommendations to clear browser, use a different browser, add/remove payment methods, use different payment method. Finally I decided to try iOS app. Now, surprise, surprise! The mobile app shows "Offer expired" and the browser still shows the offer is active and acceptable. I really think that fiverr should give me credit for finding and reporting this bug.
I was permanently banned from selling…
I was permanently banned from selling on Fiverr because of old accounts I created years ago as a teenager — not with any fraudulent intent, just immaturity. I invested significant time building a professional seller profile: gig videos, thumbnails, service descriptions, everything ready to launch. When I appealed honestly, explaining my situation and the innocent mistake, Fiverr refused to reconsider with a blanket policy response. No human review, no second chance. I'm a young freelancer from Kerala, India trying to build income for my family through genuine skilled work. The platform's rigid, automated enforcement punishes people with no malicious history the same way it punishes actual fraudsters. I deserved at least one fair human review of my case. Fiverr lost a hardworking, quality seller over a teenage mistake. Extremely disappointed.
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Fiverr regarding a website project.
In December I hired a Vetted Pro seller to build a WordPress website for my business. I deliberately chose a vetted professional and paid around €1600 because I expected reliability and quality.
At first communication was good, but later I discovered that large parts of the website were hard-coded, which made it impossible for me to edit important content or add legally required information. As someone without technical knowledge, I only discovered this when I started trying to update the site myself.
I had already sent the freelancer a list of issues on December 23, but the problems were never properly resolved. Eventually the freelancer stopped responding completely for more than 5–6 weeks.
Because my business could not stay offline any longer, I had to rebuild the entire website with help from someone else.
What disappointed me the most was Fiverr’s handling of the situation. Despite providing screenshots, proof of unresolved issues, and proof that the freelancer stopped responding, Fiverr stated that they could not issue any refund because the order was outside the 14-day grace period. Their only solution was Fiverr credits, which are not helpful when you no longer plan to use the platform.
I expected more protection when hiring a Vetted Pro seller. Unfortunately, in my case Fiverr’s policies seemed to protect the seller rather than the customer.
I hope Fiverr improves how they handle situations where freelancers become unresponsive and deliver work that clients cannot reasonably use.

This is the my first client which give my work on the time with complete work . So give you 5 stars.
Reliable side income
Customers service is shittt
Customers service is shittt , they don’t really help you and don’t even bother using this app. They don’t care about you
It’s a waste of time and when you lose money by getting scammed they don’t help you at all because of their stupid policy
I have been trying for days to get…
I have been trying for days to get assistance from their customer support regarding my phone number verification of my NEW phone number. But to do so, I have to provide my old phone number which I do not know anymore. Because I have a new one ... For days I have not received help, each time I try, I get the same copy paste that does not apply to my issue AT ALL, and then they just close the ticket. No complaints email address, no way to reach someone except the same uneducated CS employees. Obviously, they are not interested in users at all. Their CS bot even wrote several new tickets for me, and one time I was asked for my new phone number to resolve the issue -- then never heard back in regard to that ticket, while the next one, asking about it, was already closed again by them. That open ticket has been sitting there for days.
Disappointed by Account Restriction After Proper Identity Verification
I was very disappointed by the action Fiverr took on my account. One morning, I received a notification that my account had been restricted due to a policy violation related to a “fake identity,” which I strongly disagree with. I used my valid driver’s license to verify my account during the verification process.
After receiving the notice, I requested another review and even offered to participate in a video call to prove that I am the real owner of the account and the identification document used. Unfortunately, I have not received any meaningful response regarding this request, as the support team keeps repeating the same explanation without properly addressing my concern.
In addition, my funds are currently being held, and I was informed that I will only be able to withdraw them after 90 days. This is very frustrating because the money in the account was earned through legitimate work and completed projects.
I invested a lot of time, effort, and dedication into building my Fiverr account and delivering quality work to clients in order to reach my current level. It is very discouraging to have the account restricted just when I was beginning to see the results of my hard work.
I would sincerely appreciate it if the support team could carefully review my case again and consider restoring my account.
I cannot recommend Fiverr
I cannot recommend Fiverr to serious freelancers looking for a fair, transparent, and professional platform.
The problem is not only the high commission structure, although taking 20% from freelancers is already significant. The deeper issue is that the platform seems designed to extract value from sellers at every stage. In my case, earnings were effectively reduced even further by currency conversion mechanisms and partner payout services, which made the final amount received in euros noticeably worse than expected.
I also subscribed to one of their paid plans, advertised as a way to improve visibility and help sellers grow. In practice, I found it offered little to no meaningful value, especially considering the monthly cost.
What made the experience much worse, however, was what happened after I canceled that subscription. Shortly afterward, my account was flagged. Whether Fiverr chooses to frame that as coincidence or policy, from a user perspective it creates a very troubling impression: that the platform is not only expensive and disappointing, but also reactive in ways that feel punitive when a seller decides to stop paying for an unnecessary service.
That combination is difficult to ignore: high commissions, poor exchange outcomes, questionable value in paid subscriptions, and account actions that create the impression of retaliation.
For a company built on the work of freelancers, Fiverr shows surprisingly little respect for the people who generate its revenue.
I would strongly advise freelancers to think carefully before relying on this platform.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY…
STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE ! Most of the freelancers on there are scammers and the reviews are all fake! You can tell just by the date stated on their profiles which do not tally at all. Any reviews that you write on profiles do not show up at all. I have tried contacting support to report these scammers numerous times but no one has bothered to respond. I have lost nearly 1k on there without any work work done what so ever! How is this company still operating is beyond me !
dislike Fiverr intensely
I don't like Fiverr at all, used it both as a seller and a buyer. First, they let me down as a seller by deleting a post in a forum that contained absolutely no kind of abuse, but was deleted simply because I disagreed with others.
So I deleted my selling account. Then, as a buyer, I was spending a lot of money on all kind of gigs (I am a pro musician) and the same thing happened: I disagreed with a seller and got into a dispute. Admittedly, this time I insulted him by calling him a fool. Fiverr gave me a scold of the type: '1st time warning'.
I resented that. After all, just because you call someone a fool, doesn't necessarily means it's not true. Is it the case that stupid people do not exist at all, and they are just a figment of our imagination? I doubt it.
Anyways, had enough of Fiverr entirely, so I deleted my buying account as well. Their loss, I was spending something like 200-300 dollars a month to get work done faster, not because I could not do it all myself. I can. So now I do that, and spend a little more time, but save money and don't feel like some kind of taskmaster is scolding me for everything I say.
Bye-bye, Fiverr.
Fiverr is total trash
Fiverr is total trash. Half of the gig providers don't know what they are doing are provide sub par work.
The support is the worst i have ever seen. All they do is copy and paste the same reply without actually answering your questions.
I would avoid this platform at all costs.
After 10 years of loyal work on Fiverr
After 10 years of loyal work on Fiverr, my account was suddenly disabled without warning or explanation.
I have always followed Fiverr's Terms of Service and would appreciate transparency regarding the reason for this decision.
Hoping the Fiverr team can review my case and help resolve this situation fairly.
Awful customer service. Scripted. No help at all.
Awful customer service. Scripted. No help at all.
I had a seller account since July 2025 but suddenly couldn't log in. Received an email to say my account was suspended due to violating guidelines.
After months of emailing back, some human told me what the issue was. Apparently I created another account and this is against their guidelines, but this never happened.
They won't look into it, they won't let me appeal, and I'm not allowed to create another account.
This is ridiculous and I am furious. Terrible service and I'll be looking elsewhere for my audio services.
I have been selling on Fiverr since 2020
I have been selling on Fiverr since 2020, and unfortunately my experience has gone from very positive to extremely disappointing.
A few years ago, Fiverr was a great platform. It was simple, easy to use, and a good place for freelancers and clients to connect. As a writer, I was able to offer my services and build a steady stream of work. Back then, it felt fair and motivating to work on the platform.
Today, the situation is very different. Fiverr keeps introducing more and more costs. Besides the already high commission on every order, many tools now require additional payments. For freelancers, the platform has become increasingly expensive and less worthwhile.
Another major problem is the constant suspicion around AI. Many buyers now accuse writers of using AI tools to produce their texts. As a result, orders get canceled, accusations are made, and freelancers often receive no payment at all — even after spending many hours working on a project. It is incredibly frustrating to invest time and effort into quality work and then walk away with nothing.
The customer support is also very disappointing. As a seller, it feels like you have almost no rights and very little protection when conflicts with buyers occur.
If you are thinking about starting a writing business on Fiverr, I would honestly recommend reconsidering. What once felt like a promising freelance platform has turned into a place where the costs, risks, and lack of support make it extremely difficult for sellers.
After six years on Fiverr, I have decided that today is the day I delete my account.
It's always a crap shoot when you hire…
It's always a crap shoot when you hire someone in this platform. I hired a man to re-design my site. I gave him exact instructions and everything was written out. He then, without discussing with me, did the complete opposite of the contract! He apologized profusely. I gave him another chance. I then told him to wait until I find out if what he did to the site was compatible with what my tech team could work with. Instead, he went ahead and continued working on the site. I really wanted to fire him the first time, but I thought since we were already into the project, hopefully, I'd be done with him. The last straw was when he broke into one of my sites that he was not authorized to go into and he made changes to the site! I fired him, cussed him out royally, and I reported him to Fiverr. Customer service told me to "work it out" with him. Fiverr didn't want to give me my $400 back. I had to fight with them to get it back. By the way, they never banned this guy's account and he is still using the platform. However, Fiverr banned MY account for being "unprofessional" after I cussed the seller out. Another guy I hired to do social media work kept trying to pressure me to pay him offline. He refused to take no for an answer and stalked me. I reported it to Fiverr. Again, they did nothing. So now, they've decided to ban my account without giving me an explanation. I'm glad. You never know if you're going to get a scam artist, someone who produces low-quality work, stalkers, or what. I am using Upwork now. I have always gotten great results working with Upwork. Stay away from Fiverr.
Can't add a payout method
I tried for days after verifying my account as a business owner, along with my passport and my photo through the app. Whenever I try to click on add a new payout method and choose any of the 3 options there, it says "Something went wrong. Please try again."
I reached out to the chatbot and it keeps showing irrelevant reasons as if I could be underage..etc if I cannot use the app as a business owner, what's the point of offering services. A legit business owner cannot add their details but the reviews show there are thousands of scammers registered to their website. I doubt if they have their company details registered.. I'll just delete my account.
