Did not show up for a callback appoint that was scheduled in advance. Was contacted days later to apologize, then said that they couldn't schedule another callback and that we had to sign up online. The website had a broken component to it, so we could not go further. When we spoke in the chat to a representative, they were more concerned about the website than getting our insurance started. This company seems more concerned with making reports about their mistakes than actively covering customers. DON'T WALK, RUN FROM FBTO.
I wanted to join this company because it’s cheaper.
But, When I read the reviews (81% with ONE star), I get impression that the situation of a person with serious health problem can become just helpless and dangerous because of such company. Because! what patients write here - it’s like about some dishonest and in a way antihuman company. I am curious if the court can help those poor people in their occasions.
How annoying when you want to cancel your insurance because your moving abroad, but you cannot do it via your online profile, they refer to the customer service via phone. Then you call them, but they don't have the option in the menu that you're looking for. Then they just disconnect.. Why should this be so hard? Cost me 30 min + frustration and haven't made any progress yet..

Wat vervelend als je je verzekering wilt opzeggen omdat je naar het buitenland verhuist, maar dat niet via je online profiel kan, ze verwijzen naar de klantenservice via de telefoon. Dan bel je ze, maar ze hebben niet de optie in het menu die je zoekt. Dan verbreken ze gewoon de verbinding.. Waarom moet dit zo moeilijk zijn? It's unacceptable that insurance company closes completely option to communicate via e-mail. On top of that, their WhatsApp bot is very limited and suggest irrelevant questions to ask. "Omdat klanten het meest tevreden zijn over contact via WhatsApp of chat helpen we u daar graag verder." - yeah right, online reviews prove different. Good luck staying in the business.
What a terrible insurance company! I should have read the reviews before getting insurance from them. Especially since I had such a great experience with another company (which was even cheaper!). My buggy was damaged and is unusuable and they're reimbursing me 20 eur which is apparently the depreciated value! What can I do with 20 eur, buy a new buggy? They also expect you to wait with a small child for 2 hours for public transport (when the flight was delayed) and not allow you to take taxi.
What a horrible insurance company.

I am ashamed that I have recommended them to my student friend who is now is trying to set things right.
I am planning to terminate my own contract with them.
They are not available by phone or e-mail. They do not confirm conversation that you have had with them (when they choose to call you) and afterwards they deny everything.
Just shameless, having the students to pay extra for something they don't need. They don't take any responsibility regarding their advise on base of which you make choices on their website or the things that go wrong in your account when changing things.
Even though if you have had a conversation in which they assure you that everything is being take care of you cannot trust that as after 3 months they are back asking for extra money.

My car was insured there, got accident never got a penny back.
Now tried to get life insurance,of course i need to deliver thousands of documents and no f budy speaks english.

Did not have to use the insurance at all, so can't say anything about coverage. However, closed travel insurance for 6 months, and you very clearly have to indicate that it is only for 6 months. Obviously, they had some small rules, so they "extended" it automatically. Didn't notice anything (although they did sent an email), and they raised the amount even. So, just casually stole 60 euros from me.

I would give them 1 star! After 3 years, It's time to move on! No customer support, chat bot?! Ridiculous! It's so hard to reach them, and they not responding to whatsapp messages! Finding new health insurance ASAP
I’m having trouble cancelling my plan online. After so many calls and trying to WhatsApp I finally hear “you have to do it online”. Even when I try do it online the cancel option isn’t clickable. I don’t live in the country anymore. So. I guess I just cancel my card?

Don't know how is that possible. And they don't tell me who and how gave them permission to withdrew money from my account.
After signing in with them, I randomly noticed in my bank account that they took over 500 euros from me to cover the last half year. I told them that this makes no sense, considering I'm an expat who spent the last half year going to my home country to access a doctor. I had no benefits in this country, but still they decided to take 500 euros from me without my consent, and no matter how much I complained, they refused to do anything about it. Pure scammers and thiefs.

They don't give you a zorgpas. You need to have the app with a working internet connection. I payed for a worldwide coverage, but not it seems that without roaming i cant even access my zorgpas

The company is a fraudulent company and you should definitely not give your money to them, blame there drivers for a crash and take all the money and the car. STAY AWAY!!
First they send you a mail that you are rejected because your visa does not fulfill the requirements, then - without ANY change on the existing visa, suddenly a few days later they start insuring you and ask for money, while after the initial rejection it is normal to move on elsewhere.
The support is NOT AT ALL even trying to help, on the contrary, trying to subtile tell you that you're the idiot in this matter, they are right, idiot for being so stupid to actually think FBTO is a decent company, while it turns out they are just trying every shady way possible to make money, they admit 'nothing changed' on the visa, but do not at all try to understand that they cannot reject and then not reject based on the same criteria.
Obviously the moment they said they start the insurance (same hour of receiving that mail) it was cancelled, still they insist to charge those days despite the fact that it was them who did everything wrong here !
One and one only possible recommendation: STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM THEM - AS FAR AS POSSIBLE

I had a ski accident in New Zealand and needed surgery and stuff and when I sent them my claim I had to wait a few weeks for a response and after that they called me and they are sending the money back to me in 5 days. It went really smooth and I’m really happy with this company!
