If I could give them Zero stars I would

If I could have given them Zero stars I would have. I concur with everything others have said on here. No reply to Tickets over the last 2 years. My payments were also up to date but my website has now been de-activated and they do not reply. AVOID AT ALL COSTS> Go somewhere else.

Just don't!

We have had our domains with these guys for years. Until recently they generally sorted problems out but as of recently, they have failed miserably on every level. I have been waiting for over 2 months for a resolution (or even just a response would be nice) to one domain that has gone down & I can transfer it & now our other domain had gone down

Had a ticket open since March with no reply. Control panel has failed to work but fortunately emails do (for now). To avoid the risk after reading all the bad reviews, I have now taken control of my domain. I would advise others to do the same to protect yourselves. Get your EPP registration code (under the My Domains tab) and contact another hosting company. I used Total Registrations and they were a great help. Also archive your emails using Outlook as you will lose access to anything on the server when you switch nameservers if using IMAP. Just trying to move everything across now so I can ditch Extendnet for good.

I've had it with these people

I've had it with these people. Read the reviews, we've all had the same dreadful experience. What a mickey mouse outfit. Within a couple of days paying for a registration renewal I have been without emails for best part of a week, the client portal doesn't work, tickets (when I used to send them) don't get replied to and customer support (support? what support?) emails gets no response. How they are allowed to continue trading I don't know. Someone set this up for me years ago, I wish they hadn't! It is in the public domain that Barry Anthony Sharp is the sole, listed, director of the company as per Companies House listings. He should step up and be accountable.

Avoid Avoid Avoid... Did I mention AVOID!!

A sporting organistation that I run a website for, had their domain with this bunch when i took over 2 years ago. We had several issues back then from not replying to any requests to change correspondence names etc. The final straw tho has been the renewal of our domain with eXtendnet. Invoice paid 23/3/2022, yes we have now been told its unpaid and our domain will lapse... Try to acces eXtendnet website and WOAHHHH Firefox, Edge etc all scream "Potentially dangerous site"

Trading standards will be notified and I have asked Nominet to investigate them too.

To think that this is nothing more than a saccming enterprise that is still being allowed to cream monies from their "customers" More like victims of online fraud!!!!

Avoid this company

Domain renewal paid for & thought evreything fine until the domain started showing as expired and thus lost website and email addresses. No reply from eXtendnet support and emails were undelivered due to their inbox being full. This would appear to be a common occurance judging from a little internet research. I mananged to retrieve the domain successfully from the registrar company (in this case Total Registrations, who were helpful) but with extra cost & added hassle. I would avoid eXtendnet/Xtreme IT Ltd if at all possible, little regulation/oversight and unscrupulous business practices make for a toxic cocktail. Still not had any reply or refund from these chancers...

stay very very clear of this company

stay very very clear of this company ! received an invite to renew domain, paid and received receipt. all of a sudden email account stopped working. c/panel listed my domain as expired !!. this domain and email had been in operation for 20 years so you can imagine the frustration when tickets etc went unanswered. Heart internet came to the rescue.

All email accounts lost
Paid for domain renewal in good time and receipt shown in account but domain now shows as expired, ticket raised but no response the I paid for upgrade to Infinity to try and recover account but 13 days later still shows as pending
Submitted another ticket but still no response I guess they’ve either gone bust or don’t care
This has caused emended problems as I have now had to open a new domain with a reputable provider and set about changing the email contact details with everyone and service I deal with

Extendnet not reviewed domain. LOST EVERYTHING!

Paid for my renewal in good time (and got ‘invoice paid’ pdf receipt from them) however they continued to send emails saying domain had expired. Opened three tickets, all ignored. Called phone number, recorded message then went dead.

Contacted nominet, who say the couldn’t help as it was a .com but they referred me to icann to make formal complaint. Since then, I’ve exchanged emails from ENom (company responsible for .com’s) they were helpful - to a point, as they said they could recover the domain. Enom just emailed me to say my domain has been back-ordered by another party therefore no longer available, unless I want to contact the new owner to negotiate the £2133.66 fee, or arrange a convenient 24 month payment plan. How can this happen?
I’m beyond angry! Extendnet took my money, and now I have lost everything. AVOID at all costs.

Sadly as others have said they were a good company, (even after they were taken over) but since Covid they are terrible, I have lost my domain because they would not renew it, and they do not answer support tickets, I guess they have gone bust?

Only gave 1 star cos couldn't give zero.

These guy(s) are shysters. Used to be good (when they were me2uweb) before they were bought out.

Like many others on here, I paid my domain renewal invoice but the domain was not renewed with the registrar. As it is my main email domain I was panicked. I phoned the registrar and explained the situation. Luckily I am still listed as the registrant so legally still own the domain. I provided proof of payment for the 2yrs renewal and they have reactivated it (well done totalwebsolutions.com!) for 2yrs. I still need to go through the taking ownership process to get it out of extendnet which is going to cost about £140 but at least I will be rid of those b********.

eXtendnet Rip Off

I also have experienced being ripped off by eXtendnet. That is, paid to have my domain renewed and this not being done. I paid by PayPal so have raised a dispute with them.

Failed to renew domain

Oh dear. I paid Xtreme IT Limited (trading as eXtendnet) £19.20 in January to renew a domain name for 2 years on 25/1/2021. They didn't renew it. I lost the domain name and it went into Redemption with Total Registrations. I had to pay £70.80 and a lot of hassle to regain control of my domain name which I have owned since 2003.

Since 26th January 2021 Xtreme IT Limited (trading as eXtendnet) is waiting to be struck off at Companies House.

The company seems to be not renewing domain names and not responding to support calls or support tickets.

They were excellent when they were me2uweb, and have been great in my experience until this year. I will not be using them again. This has cost me money and time to sort out. I have migrated my domains out of their control.

A director of the company is a certain Barry Anthony Sharp according to Companies House. I will steer clear of any new domain name registration companies starting in the future with the same or similar names.

Failed to renew domain

Like others my domain has not been renewed after I paid the invoice. There is no need to go through Nominet - raise a ticket with Heart Internet. They were very helpful, gave eXtendnet three days to respond then reclaimed my domain at no cost. I was then able to transfer to a new registrar (20i in my case, which has excellent reviews - I am paying slightly more but this includes 10 GB email and free web space).

Domain paid but not renewed.

I paid to renew two domains with eXtendnet sadly they failed to renew them. If you are in the same boat you should contact nominet

Nominet will support you with putting the domain back in your name, then help you with moving it to a new provider. You will then need to renew with the new domain company. Nominet services will cost around £22 and you need to supply a decent amount of proof you are who you say you are.

I think eXtendnet bought my domains from a company called heartInternet however failed to pay them. eXtendnet is trading under ExtremeIT.

Looks like eXtendnet is run by one man out of his apartment in London. They were good at one point but looks like the wheels have come off. If you are affected by the above please make a complaint.

Don't hang around or you will lose your domain. Nominet are amazing and you are in safe hands.

If you have paid via PayPal, you should be able to get a refund via that.

Don't use

Found it impossible to contact this company to extend my domain. It felt like all messages were just ignored.

I had to use the Nominet Online Services to transfer my domain to a new provider so I could get access to my email again.

Never again!
