Bad business practices, stay away

Initially was a good source of knowledge however not much updated recently. Did not want to renew and it shows no charge in November however suddenly when I updated my card details on my paypal they renewed it and I could not get a refund. They pointed out it was stated in the agreement and said they canceled now and I could use it until expired but already charged the $300

Safe your money and time

I start using expert-exchange back in early 2000 and it was a good source to get info and help. Once they changed there model how things work it became worse and worse. You pay for a service where you might not get what you looking for. Most experts are old guys who are still hung up on a old certificate but haven’t gotten the fact that they past there prime. If you have technical questions you are better off trying stackoverflow or other sides. Better talent and free in most cases

Not worth your money.

Missed the opportunity to cancel and was charged $50. Answers were no better than stackoverflow and I would not recommend paying for this service.

Horrible Greedy Un-Community Attitude

Horrible. No matter what I search (even gibberish) it comes up as having a solution but have to pay. Greedy. That is what StackOverflow is the quintessential place to go. Why complaining about EE? I search, and they are the only ones that come up. I don't even think they have the solutions that they say in search engine. Just a reason to get you to pay in hopes that there is an answer.

Robber…

it used to be a good but now it becomes robber, all about money money. subscription is very expensive itself, no experts tries to help you instead ask you to go on live and charge for every minute if we meed help from them so i mean why we are paying such high fees, to just find experts! i wanted to cancel but they didnt allow as i am in year contract they said, they dont refund. Guys, please look somewhere else as this place is not good anymore i am afraid.

Forget a refund

This used to be a good service. But their model is dying and they are not re-inventing themselves.

They charged me for a renewal when I would NOT have approved a renewal (never used the service). I didn't receive a notice of renewal, nor a paid receipt of the service being renewed.

Called asked for a refund, all they would offer are "credits", even though I argued that I don't use the service. I didn't even care of the refund was pro-rated, they absolutely refused.

Experts Exchange - be careful using these people

Experts Exchange - This is a bunch of of thieves. I requested cancellation over the phone in 2019... the account was never cancelled and i never check for an email confirmation. Now they charged my account 1 year in advanced. This time i waited on the phone to make sure i got a cancellation notice on my email.

Also, most of the questions are never answered completely.

So 1980s

They are charging for knowledge that should be shared. Their approach is so 1980. I'm not satisfied with just not visiting their solutions, but additionally I disapprove their methods. They probably don't care and even if they did they won't change it, but I would like to direct other developers to support open communities instead of knowledge abusers.

Bad Business Practices: Twice I've had very negative experiences with Experts Exchange due to their business practices. Each time I felt they stole from me. The first time I knew I was a member. The second time I did not.

Each time they told me they have a STRICT policy of no refunds.

Although you may get great support from the many Experts Exchange users, keep your hand on your wallet and know what you are signing up for.

I would give the zero stars if possible
Subscribed for 7 days trial to see if the things I'm interested in are available. After 3-4 days, I went to Cancelation link. And here is the caveat. When you click Cancel subscription, you think the cancelation should be canceled. Well guess again, you need to fill the feedback BEFORE the cancelation, otherwise the cancelation is not complete, ending with next charge. Even though the support agent confirmed that I have started cancelation, they have refused refund.
Also, NOTHING you can already find on Stack Overflow is there anyway, on some topics even less.
Good ridance and they will never see me again

CAUTION

CAUTION: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
was just shopping for self-study site and thought I was just getting a sample preview. somehow I was signed up for auto renew- imagine that- and even though I did not want it I had to pay for it. UDEMY is infinitely better- really cheap and once you buy they don't keep charging you for nothing. I did not go back to this site because I did not like their course. I just completed 3
UDEMY courses and feel like I really learned something. Experts Exchange is a waste of time and money
