I have been to a few gyms, but this one was not that great, from the changing room showers looking like they were from WW2, rusty and limescale. Good luck getting into the pool and if you do you are told you can't do laps as there are private lessons going on. The number of parents lingering around the pool area and steam room area is unreal, should be stopped. Plus, having a female parent walking into the gents with her phone out is mighty weird. As for the gym equipment, most of it was out of order. The gym is in need of a refurbishment.

Unbelievably now closes at 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays (pretty sure it used to be 9pm, frankly even that was early). Surely a private gym/pool ought to be aiming to cater for members who work during the week but are free at the weekend? Weird that Everlast seem to prioritise 6am/8am opening over later weekend evening opening hours.
Swimmers beware of 'no go' times
Members (pool only using members, this doesn't apply to gym only using members) are deemed less important than private lesson pool bookers, and if they have complaints about being unable to swim lengths due to the pool being over full as a result of part of it being restricted for private lessons they are advised to schedule their swims to avoid private bookings. This demonstrates lack of consideration for members as well as inadequate regard to health and safety, plus safeguarding, issues with private lesson hangers-on blocking access to male and female changing rooms, steam room and loungers. A simple solution - roping off a narrower section of the pool at the other side and thereby proving more space for members to swim and stopping the need for hangers-on to congregate in the way of members seems to be beyond the capacity of management to either grasp or implement.

Biggest drawback for pool users (apart from the noise of children's lessons and loss of part of pool for long periods) is the continued unacceptable presence of parents and other family members poolside throughout the lessons. They get in the way of monthly paying members access to the steam room, poolside showers, changing rooms and loungers. This should be stopped by staff.
Excellent facility
The facilities here are excellent and when things inevitably breakdown are repaired much quicker than under the previous ownership. The pool and steam room temperatures are much more consistent than before. The management and staff are always helpful and friendly.
One small area of concern is when tradesmen and parents of children having swimming lessons don't wear the blue overshoes in the shower and pool area.
But overall would recommend Everlast Hull to anybody.
Classes are great
Classes are great. Staff really helpful and friendly.members are chatty. They sell protein and protein snacks and gym wear. Pool was nice and quiet with no children. They have a steam room and sauna. Location is really good too and parking is free.
