Emily Clark Consulting - compulsorily struck off from Companies House

I heard of Emily Clark Consulting thanks to the several spam emails they sent me (which claimed I'd signed up to receive them when I hadn't). The emails arrived from "info at emilyclarkconsulting.jobmails.io" so I forwarded it to the email address on the official website (.com), in case the company was being impersonated, but no - they confirmed that I had been added and were a little vague as to how that came about.

Presumably companies pay to have their job adverts shared in this way. Those companies might like to know that Emily Clark Consulting was compulsorily struck off from Companies House register (a gov.uk website) in April 2022 and is currently dissolved. Ironically on their Clients page they include gov.uk among them.

Just spam

I've been receiving for 2 years 2 emails a day (that go straight into the spam). The unsubscribe botton is a fake.
They are just spam.

Scamers and email spammers!

They buy a list of emails from dodgy companies, then would send spam emails 1-5 every single day. I clicked on the unsubscribe link and the very next day new email arrived again! Most definitely a scam company that earns on buying and selling people's personal details, so please don't get involved with them!

IT’S TOTALLY WRONG & CREEPY HAVING ONE’S PRIVACY WANTONLY & STEALTHILY INVADED BY UNSOLICITED EMAILS FROM THIS ORGANISATION !!!!

If I’d the opportunity, I’d rate it a big, fat ZERO for unsolicited emails from this organisation that has the audacity to frequently surreptitiously flood my inbox on a daily basis with irrelevant job offer emails, whereas I don’t even know them, whatsoever! I’m seething right now & I vehemently refute ever requesting them to find me any job(s), let alone authorising this organisation to contact me twice each day via email. Where the hell they fished my email address from, it boggles the mind & leaves a lot to be desired!

Efforts to block them have been futile, as I feel extremely violated by this organisation, who brazenly and stealthily embed their twice daily emails in my inbox without my express consent or permission! I’ve since contacted the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) to alert them of this weird organisation which blatantly breaches The Data Protection Act (2018) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) UK. I’ve immediately asked the organisation to totally erase my details and for me to be unsubscribed from their mailing list, as I’m already employed and NOT job-hunting at all in the future. I asked Emily Clark Consulting to desist from targeting me with their daily emails that inconveniently inundate my inbox, as I’m NOT an active job-seeking candidate.

I’ve therefore pressed the organisation’s UNSUBSCRIBE button in order to be fully unsubscribed, in a bid for them to action my request to be instantaneously unsubscribed, permanently deleted and forgotten by them. It’s such an uncomfortable, blood-curdling & creepy feeling having my privacy invaded willy-nilly by an unknown organisation, which’s akin to being stalked or followed daily by a complete stranger. This is totally wrong and literally needs to be nipped right in the bud ASAP !!!

I am really frustrated and fed up with receiving unsolicited emails from this company, usually 2 a day.
I have tried every way possible to stop them to no avail.
I will have no option unless they get on top of this problem to start leaving a daily negative review.

SPAM SPAM SPAM

I have been unfortunate enough to be added to this firms email list and now receive daily spam to my inbox. Unsubscribing makes no difference whatsoever and the dire inappropriate content is frustrating. Emily Clark's failure to act on any unsubscribe attempt render make this company the last port of call should I ever be in a position to use this type of business. Maybe Emily Clark should 'consult' Trustpilot where the discovery of disgruntled email recipients may force some action... I doubt it, they strike me as a company that couldn't care less....

Spam emails, unsubscribing doesn't work!

Spam emails every single day from this company. I've tried unsubscribing several times which doesn't work!

They're actually breaking the law in continuing to send me unwanted emails, GDPR anyone?

I even emailed them, instructing them to remove my email address or face a 1 star TrustPilot Review....

Guess what? Another email the next day!
So here it is as promised. A terrible, pathetic, clueless company. Why would anyone want to do business with clowns like these?

SCAMMERS BREAKING GDPR LAWS

Tonight - at 11pm on a Saturday night no less - I have been the lucky recipient of my first Spam email from Emily Clark Consulting, the first of many if the quick Google search and glance over the reviews is anything to go by. This company is one I have never had any dealings with, they have merely plucked my email from somewhere and decided to Spam me.

I am a Tradesman so not a single job even remotely matches my skills and expertise. It is quite clear from the weighting of reviews - 65% 5 star, 35% 1 star and nothing inbetween - that they have a team working at writing false reviews to cover up the blatant SCAM they are running.

This company are in blatant disregard for GDP laws - which, if memory serves, carries a 5 million pound fine. I hope they enjoying creaming money while they can, this shambles will not last much longer.

I encourage each and every person to report this company to the GDPR authorities - ico.org.uk is the British site - and their party will come to an end very, very quickly.

Do not in anyway respond to the company. They will not engage in a dialogue.

I also encourage everyone who is a victim of these scammers to flag one of the 5 star reviews for them - clearly written by an employee of this fake company - as I have done, so Trust Pilot will deal with them immediately.

UPDATE 48 hours later
Well, what a surprise - as soon as I point out the reviews are either 5 or 1 star, the 4 star reviews start appearing! Even one at 5am on a Sunday morning. Yes, the company have made some flustered attempt to placate me with their response but have failed to explain just how they are coming across our email addresses. "Registered in error"? You are a company I have NEVER heard of, never mind given my email address to. Registered in error or not, you have had to get my email address from somewhere! As their response confirms it is by illegal means- they even admit I have been targeted! You target active candidates? How do you even know who I am? What makes you think I want a job? I'm a Tradesman, I don't apply for jobs you fools!

Reply from Emily Clark Consulting

Thank you for your response, George, apologies for any disruption this has caused you, obviously registered in error, and you have been removed immediately and will not receive any further correspondence.

Rest assured we specifically target people who are active candidates, as it is a fruitless exercise contacting people that are not job hunting.

For refence we have an unsubscribe button in all our emails, and we action any requests to unsubscribe/delete/be forgotten, immediately.

All requests to stop spamming are ignored

Started spamming me on 16 August 2021 and have been sending unsolicited emails every day since. Every polite request to stop has been ignored, I’ve even tried messaging Millie Clark (Managing Director) via LinkedIn, so I’ve now reported them to the ICO along with everyone else who has left a review. There’s no option to unsubscribe in their emails, instead a link to sign up! The content is irrelevant, disruptive, unsolicited and completely unprofessional.
