Brilliant bus service that puts megabus…
Brilliant bus service that puts megabus and stagecoach to shame. Really comfortable seats with adjustable head rest. Charging port and WiFi both worked. Helpful driver that informed me paying online was going to be about 3rd of the price then waited whilst I did it on my phone in about 3 mins. Hopefully they get more services more regularly in the future.
Delightful trip on the E7 Inverness - Aberdeen
First trip on the E7, Inverness (from Elgin) - Aberdeen Ember bus today and it was an absolute delight.
Comfortable, quiet, smooth and we were in Aberdeen in excellent time.
Lovely driver who was very helpful to all passengers.
Great service all round, Ember team
Even though the site leads you to…
Even though the site leads you to believe Inverurie is a pre book stop for Aberdeen, this is complete rubbish, you can only travel north from Inverurie, and only to Keith and beyond from Aberdeen. The E7 is just a poor duplication of what's already on offer by service 10,M96 or train, all of which can be caught without the hassle of pre booking.I,d expect this will be withdrawn before the end of the year.

I followed three Ember coaches…
I followed three Ember coaches travelling in a close convoy at 45mph on the A9 north on 4/7/25 for nearly an hour.
There was over two miles of a tailback.
Not once did the coaches think to pull in nor make space between them to allow overtaking.
Talk about ignorant!
Update in view of the reply - I think it’s perfectly fair. They may not have been in service, but represented your company.
I also note you say on most instances, which by definition means not all.
The fact remains that three coaches were in a convoy holding traffic up.
The only thing I will concede is that all you want is one or two cars unwilling to overtake the coaches for a queue to build up, but a professional driver should have spotted this if they were using their mirrors and either broke up the convoy or all pulled into a sufficiently large layby to let traffic past.
I am just surprised you appear to be endorsing your drivers behaviour and not learning from the incident going forward.

Travelled from Forfar to Aberdeen for a henny party. Bus journey was great but buses aren't suited for disabled people. I really struggled to get on & off the bus. Thankfully I had friends to help. More disabled friendly buses where the bus can lower the floor to get on & off

Great service
Travelled from Keith to Elgin return and both buses were punctual, easy to book online, reasonable price, clean and comfortable and both drivers were very nice. Also I was the only passenger so no bother. Wouldn't feel so safe on a stagecoach (thanks SNP 😡) The usb sockets are a great feature.
Fantastic bus service
Used the bus service from Elgin to Inverness. The bus was new and clean and best of all there was nobody else on it 😁 The driver was friendly and helpful, I think the journey cost £5 which is a great price for the service. I wouldn't personally travel on a stagecoach bus as it's full of drunken neds with their free bus passes (thanks Green party and SNP, that's been really feckin helpful! 🙄) It would be great if this bus company can keep the bus pass neds off of their routes 🤞🏼

Travelled on Ember for first time with disabled son. I found drivers unhelpful. When we arrived in Edinburgh i asked if the storage was open so i could get my son's rollater ...response was 'see for yourself'. The driver did not lower the bus to make it easier for my son to step off.
Dont use this service if disabled.

Bus arrived at the airport 20 minutes late then told us at 3:55 am it won’t be running due to illness and no back up drivers. The next bus from them is at 6:55 am. Left us stranded.
Excellent!!
Always an excellent service!!! Will always choose ember over other companies where possible!
I travelled from Fort William to…Edinburgh on 2/5/25 with a return journey from Edinburgh to Fort William on the 6/5/25
I travelled from Fort William to Edinburgh on Friday 2nd may 2025, and travelled back from Edinburgh to Fort William Tuesday 6th may 2025. Outstanding bus service from Ember. The journey was super comfortable, bus was super clean and the driver was excellent both ways. What made it more special was the bus only had a few stops which was excellent. It is so so good travelling on the Ember bus especially as it was practically a straight through run with not many stops. Thank you for a wonderful journey.

Ember 4 bus 10.05 Fort William to…
Ember 4 bus 10.05 Fort William to Edinburgh. Driver was lovely and helpful. It’s just so nice not having to trail to Glasgow to get the Fort William Bus. Really delighted it only took four hours. Please keep this service going.🤞 as it long overdue. Looking forward to using this great service regularly. Thank you 👍
Great bus company
I have been using Ember since they started running buses from Dundee to Edinburgh and in the past 5 years or so I've only had positive experiences. They communicate well if there is a delay. Their website lets you track buses so you get a sense of how long you will be waiting, and some reassurance they're on their way. They are generally on time unless there is huge traffic in their way.
Whenever I email to ask a question, they get back to me quickly.
I can book easily with my concession pass online. It is also easy to quickly amend a booking or cancel.
Also there's a comment below about bus stop location. In your ticket email you get a link to click through to your mapping app to get directions to the bus stop.
The new route to Aberdeen is brilliant, especially as it connects Brechin and Forfar to both Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
The drivers are always friendly and helpful. Also if I've travelling been with someone who uses a wheelchair, they don't ask like you've massively inconvenienced them asking for ramp access. They're polite and welcoming and helpful, which is obviously as it should be, but nice to see. And the ramp access is seamless.
Excellent service
Excellent service, comfy and tidy buses. Always on time and keep updated always. Using frequently, I’m very satisfied
Cannot fault this coach service
Cannot fault this coach service. Only discovered it in December 2024 as an alternative to my local rubbish and totally unreliable Stagecoach service, but will be using it again for convenience. Website, coaches, drivers, helpdesk, prices and overall experience all 5/5. I wish them all the best and hope they continue to expand their routes in future.
Innovative & stress-free booking system
Ember’s website and booking system is second to none. It’s completely hassle free. You can change the date, time and/or location of your ticket any time up to 10 minute before departure at no extra cost whatsoever. Other bus booking systems I’ve used charge you a fee to do any of these things. The QR code as a ticket is great as well.
The drivers are friendly and the buses are comfortable and a smooth ride. I feel very lucky to live very close to a stop on Ember’s route. It makes getting in and out of town for work so much easier. I can’t wait for them to expand to more routes.
Can’t fault them. They pose themselves as a tech company rather than a travel company and honestly I think that’s really working out for them.
Exceptional staff, above and beyond
Travelled from Brechin to Edinburgh today. Drivers were exceptional, polite, helpful and go above and beyond to make experience good
Terrific bus service
Terrific bus service. Great prices, very comfortable, clean and quiet. Makes other bus services seem very dated. Easy to book online and alter journeys. The Aberdeen to Edinburgh service is terrific. Forfar no longer feels cut off from the world.
Quiet, clean, comfy.
I took a very early morning service from Aberdeen, Union Street, to Edinburgh airport.
Quiet and comfortable. Pleasant, helpful driver.
I'd love to write a longer review. But I plugged my phone into the chair in front, to charge it....Adjusted the seat rake, and headrest position....and woke up 3 hours later at my destination.
Can't really fault Ember at all.
Great journey -highly recommend Ember.
Trip from Bridge of Earn to Ingleston. Despite the bus being a little late (probably due to major roadworks), the driver is lovely. She is friendly and making everyone feel really welcome. It is a really smooth journey and the bus is warm and comfy. Great company - great experience. Will use Ember from now on.
