Ordered and booked for 2 new tyres and front wheel alignment on my wife's SAAB. Turned up as planned and parked as instructed, and told (Ordered more like it) to sit in waiting room. After few minutes I wandered around to work bay to ask if any problem found on alignment. The owner spotted me and challenged why I was there, and rather than answer that question started to point out the discs were severely rusted and must be changed. I attempted to discuss this as I was concerned our recent MOT elsewhere had not been thorough enough. Discussion was not an option and I was accused of aggressively challenging him. NOT TRUE.
I returned to the waiting room as ORDERED! After a very short time he retured and said the car was ready. I again enquired about alignment of wheels to be told "it was out and had been tweaked "
After leaving I decided to get a free alignment check elsewhere as our attendance there was very short, and the car was not put on a ramp. This showed it was OUT with no evidence a spanner had been on the adjusters.
I returned with my printed evidence, and after some heated words left with a refund for both alignment and the online discount which had strangle been charged on the original bill. NO EXPLANATION WAS FORTH COMING FOR THE FAILURE TO CORRECT THE ALIGNMENT. 2 other garages have confirmed I should do as MOT states and "monitor discs" as they are still performing correctly.
