Excellent and Reliable Service
The experience is exactly as advertised. The package arrives before we checked in and it was very easy to return the items. The instructions to return are very clear. The package comes with a power bank which is quite useful. From the first time we used eConnect Japan, we have been using it in every Japan trip we have made so far.

User friendly experience
The website was easy to use and I found the information accurate. I appreciated being able to choose between several ways to pick up the pocket WiFi.
The device worked well and the batter life was as advertised, I used the provided powerbank which held enough charge for the pocket WiFi to be fully recharged about 3 times.
overall a very positive experience!

The service was excellent
The service was excellent. As arriving at the airport we could just walk in the store and everything was ready. At the end of the vacation we could send it easily back. Everything was prepared (even the envelop and stamps). Great!

Stay in reach with eConnect
I used eConnect from May 10-21, 2024. I appreciated that it was sent to my hotel and is easy to return in airports or any red post office drop bins. I always had good connection even if I was traveling within different cities in Japan.

Great service and great product! Highly recommend!
I've been to Japan 4 times now in the past 2 years and I've used eConnect 3 out of 4 times. The only time I didn't use eConnect was the first trip and that's because I left it to too late to book. I've had no issues with the pocket wi-fi, it's simple to use, the instructions are clear and simple. Will absolutely be renting from eConnect again for future trips & I recommend others to do the same!

Highly Recommended for Tourists

...it already had the same scratches when I received it.
The wifi itself was okay-ish although the battery does not last very long and overheats. You need to carry around a power bank which would be ok but their customer service is quite bad as they charged me with damage of the wifi. They said it had scratches and that they can't rent it to other customer but it already had the same scratches when I received it so they had no problem to rent it to me. It was working fine so I didn't think much of it. I had no idea they would later charge me with the damage. They also delete negative reviews from their page so don't trust it too much.

Works Well
I've used eConnect Japan quite a few times now. The first couple of times was with a sim card and then with mobile wifi. The website is a bit awkward to use when ordering, but the service itself is excellent. The sim cards or mobile wifi equipment has always turned up on time, well packaged and with clear instructions included on how to use it, and it's always worked really well.
With the pre-paid return envelope they include, it's a hassle free process to return the equipment.
I had one issue part way through my rental last time, but quickly found instructions in the troubleshooting section of their website on how to fix it.
Before ordering, I usually have a little shop around at the other rental companies, but when I've looked, I've always found eConnect Japan's prices to be competitive.
