I have worked on eccleston homes for 3 days this week and the quality of the homes are incredible so modernised and affordable. My times on the site has been outstanding.
But for the contractor DDG plumbing and heating who I have worked for have been absolutely atrocious with constant problems and even refusing to pay me national living wage by a government set law.

5* Customer Service at Brook House Place
Recently popped into Brook House place as we were passing as we love looking at show homes and whilst we were there we got chatting with Anne who was able to talk us through the different developments and what was still available to reserve. 3 weeks later we’ve just had our reservation meeting and have secured our family home.
From us first stepping into the sales office to us leaving after our reservation meeting, Anne has been so friendly, knowledgeable and patient with us (and our 16 month old who dropped crumbs over the floor every time we came in!). She has taken the time to sit with us and talk us through everything and how the process works with part exchange etc. and for two nights in a row has stayed late to accommodate us whilst we got everything in line before reserving.
It’s our first time buying a new build so has been difficult to picture what the house will actually look like, especially when choosing options. It would have been really useful to have mock up pictures of each room to be able to envisage how things will look.
Overall, the experience with Eccleston homes and Anne has been brilliant so far, hopefully it continues to this high standard as we move through the process to completion.

Showhome viewing experience
I was made to feel very welcome when I arrived by Ann and the team and given some useful information.
The homes were well thought out and roomy.
I was disappointed by the garden when I was led to believe they were low maintenance courtyard areas
The showhome had a microwave built in but I was informed this was not available.
The showhone fitted wardrobes had shelving but the wardrobes if purchased from Eccleston homes have no shelves just hanging space
All together they will make a pleasant home for the right buyers.

EDIT: although the below is true, we were told that we’d get an 105% market part exchange. We didn’t expect to get the full bank valuation (225k, and previously had it valued by estate agents at 220k) but we were offered 185k despite the man on the phone telling us one of the agents had valued it at 195k. We were then told it wasn’t an 105% px which then changed and we were told it was 🤔 felt quite misleading and deceptive. The ‘local’ agents they spoke to also were not local - or at least not leading local ones and the names to me sounded like they were online agents but I’ve not done any investigation into that so take it with a pinch of salt.
We’ve ended up having to pull out as their offer wasn’t enough to cover stamp duty. The whole process of the part exchange felt very misleading and indeed that it was all in their favour. Considering the incentive was it was a 105% PX - there was nothing here to suggest any of that was true. My mortgage advisor even said it was funny that their offer was enough to cover an 5% deposit on the house and it was “extremely cheeky”. I’m sure if we could’ve continued with them it would have been fine, as the staff we dealt with after the initial sales stuff were professional and nice however the whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth as it’s clear their interest was not in being fair. If we’d been offered the 195k one of the agents valued it at we would have been fine, despite that still being less than I bought the house for initially. But I suppose what else can you expect. To be transparent they did offer us the easy mover scheme, but as we are getting married in a few months we felt this process wouldn’t suit our current situation (and is why we had opted for part exchange in the first place).
Anne was amazing at our reservation meeting. She went over everything in detail and answered any questions we had. Looking forward to proceeding with them and getting into our new home!

A Quality Home & Easy Sales Process
I've waited until we moved into our new home before writing this review.
The initial sales process with Eccleston was excellent and very easy. Rebecca was very friendly to deal with and kept us informed at every stage. We agreed a part exchange which was easy to do and removed a lot of stress from the house sale process.
When picking options, there was plenty available - both in the standard ranges and as upgrades. One thing that would have improved this would have been a computer simulation of how different options could look in the home.
Things went a little bit awry when there was a change of Sales Consultant just before we completed - the information flow from Eccleston seemed to stop and it became difficult to get things organised. We eventually got back on track just prior to completion.
The house itself seems well built and has a very attractive stone finish. There are of course snags - which are inevitible with any new build however few of these are major and the site manager seems committed to sorting them out.
One minor gripe - for a company that clearly spends a little more to improve the quality of the homes they build - they do seem unusually tight with some things. E.g. no door number, bins or rear turfing provided.

We're sorry to hear that you feel that communication wasn't as smooth as it should have been around the time of your completion. Rosie stepped in at very short notice when another member of the sales team was unexpectedly off sick, taking over responsibility for a particularly busy development. While we worked hard to maintain continuity, we're sorry that you feel there was a disruption in communication during this period, although we're not aware of any specific problems that you encountered.
We're pleased to hear that the few snagging items you've identified are being addressed and that our Site Manager has demonstrated a commitment to resolving them promptly. We're extremely proud that Jake has recently won an NHBC Pride in the Job award for his work on the development.
Finally, thank you for your comments regarding the external items such as the door number, bins and rear turfing. We appreciate that these finishing touches are important, and we'll ensure your feedback is shared with the relevant teams for consideration. We would add that our standard specification of items included in the purchase is already at a high level, and far outstrips other developers in the area.

We have just purchased our forever home from Eccleston and having previously bought and lived in new builds this has been a breath of fresh air. The team are all extremely friendly and helpful. I have to say a huge part of our journey was with a sales advisor named Rosie and she honestly deserves more praise than I can write. So warm, so friendly and so helpful. She kept me updated about everything possible. She linked in with me even when she was based at other sites and always had time to talk about any queries I had.
