Bought a Dyson cool fan to help with hot temperatures, especially during the night. It looks nice, is lightweight and quite powerful but it's no better than any other tower fan you could probably pick... See more

About Dyson
Dyson was founded on the idea of solving problems that others ignore; vacuum cleaners that clog and lose suction, hand dryers that are energy hungry and don't work, and hair technology that relies on extreme temperatures and cause heat damage.
Since it was established in the UK in 1993, Dyson has grown from one man and one idea to a global technology company with an ever-growing team of engineers and scientists at its core.
Today, Dyson machines are sold in over 65 countries. From cordless vacuum cleaners to air purifiers to hair dryers ; a whole new generation of technology has made its way into the hands of Dyson owners around the world.

Huge disapointment with Dyson's product and Customer Care
I was disappointed both with my experience of Dyson customer service and with my purchase of the Dyson Cool 07 Tower Fan.
The product is beautifully designed and well made, but I personally misunderstood its functionality. From the name "Dyson Cool" and the premium price point, I expected a product that would noticeably reduce room temperature rather than simply circulate existing air. Unfortunately, for my needs during hot weather, the effect was not significantly different from that of my much less expensive conventional fan.
What disappointed me most, however, was the customer service experience. When I contacted Dyson shortly after the return period had expired to ask whether an exception could be considered, the response felt very scripted and inflexible, with no consideration of individual circumstances despite the machine being in perfect condition and in its original packaging.
I also found the 14-day return period for fans and air treatment products surprisingly short for a premium brand. Many major companies offer 30-day returns, which gives customers the opportunity to experience a product in different conditions and decide whether it truly meets their needs.
This is particularly important for cooling products, because you often only discover whether a fan is suitable once genuinely hot weather arrives. In my case, the first real heat arrived after the return window had already expired. I had only used the machine once before realising that it was not suitable for my needs, yet I was left unable to return what was essentially a brand-new product.
As a result, the overall experience left me disappointed and changed my perception of Dyson as a premium, customer-focused brand. Unfortunately, I am now less likely to consider purchasing Dyson products again in the future or recommend Dyson for anybody I trully care for.
Bought a tower fan today its absolutely…
Bought a tower fan today its absolutely useless in this very hot weather spent £350 on it ,they see us coming a cheaper version would have done the same job and Proberly better
3x Dyson Tower Fan failures in 3-years - DO NOT BUY
Bought 2x Dyson Tower Fans in June 23.
One failed after a few months and was replaced under warranty. The replacement then failed after a year - fortunately it was just before 2nd anniversary of original purchase so Dyson took it back and repaired it, as was within its 2-yr guarantee period.
Now the other fan has failed after just 3x years of occasional use.
For such expensive fans they are poor quality should last better.
Truly pathetic
Truly pathetic. I bought their most expensive fan purifier - Dyson Purifier Big + Quiet Formaldehyde BP04 Purifying fan (Prussian Blue/Gold). In the heat it starts to emit disgusting toxic smelling fumes around my baby. It has taken them over a month so far to try and collect it. The courier repeatedly brings the wrong size box. I do not have the £1k fan during a heatwave, I am still clearly weeks from collection or repair. I’ve complained twice, and nothing has happened. The last time I called I was told it would be looked at urgently, only to receive a formulaic and moronic email saying they would attempt to book another collection two weeks later. I will never buy Dyson again. An utter calamity - terrible product, terrible customer service. Their time is over.
Customer service woeful - buy with a credit card for chargebacks!
God forbid you ever have an issue with your order - customer service is non-existent. Entirely incompetent, giving the same generic answer each time. My order wasn't delivered and I have been trying to arrange a replacement or refund for over a week now. Make sure you buy with a credit card so you can do a chargeback!
A Complete Waste of my Time Ordering from this Company.
I ordered a very expensive fan, nearly £1000, which stated that if ordered before 9pm, next day delivery was guaranteed.
It was only after I had paid that I received notification that there were delays of 1-2 days due to high demand and hot weather.
I contacted Dyson chat line and was assured that I would get my delivery the next day as promised, seeing as I’d ordered before 9pm. As I hadn’t received notification of despatched the next morning I told them I wanted to cancel my order, but was advised that if I received notification of despatch before I received confirmation of cancellation then I should re-contact them and someone would cancel despatch direct with the courier.
I received notification of said despatch and was told I had to wait until I received cancellation, 24-48hrs, before anything could be done and
there was nothing that could be done to stop its journey with the courier. I asked to speak with a supervisor but the operator said he’d liaised with them already and nothing further could be done.
So if the item has already been despatched, the team to cancel it hasn’t even read it then they’re obviously hoping that one I take delivery of the item, I might decide to keep it.
Absolute amateurs. None of the teams or their computers are linked, the customer service reps are given minimal abilities and none of the written or verbal quotations mean anything whatsoever.
What a complete joke of a company and a waste of my time, effort and money. After this farce is complete I will never order from this pathetic and inept company ever again.
Further to the above, several more calls to Dyson left me with no more useful info, I had no idea when my order landed back with them, I received no email updates, nothing whatsoever!
I subsequently contacted my credit card company to ask their advice about claiming my money back but luckily that day my refund had landed so I didn’t need to pursue things further. I never received any communication to state that they’d received my order back at the warehouse, that it had been checked in, that they were issuing me with my refund… absolutely nothing from them.
DO NOT ORDER FROM DYSON, THEY’RE A JOKE AND COULDN’T ORGANISE A P-UP IN A BREWERY!
Dyson guaranteed next day delivery
Dyson guaranteed next day delivery. But fan didn’t arrive. Obviously bought it for the heatwave. Their customer service is appalling. The call centre have no idea what is going on and couldn’t explain why Royal Mail had been told not to deliver it. The first call to customer service and they said I would definitely get it by the end of the day. Didn’t arrive. Still no idea when it will come. They offered £10 compensation which I had to claim so not even a direct refund. The call centre appears to be in India and the staff just repeat a script and can’t answer specific questions. I won’t buy from them again. The products might be good and my old Dyson vac is great but their service is dreadful. Would be better buying something cheaper from a shop. Really disappointing.
Get your act together!
Ordered a Hushjet Mini on June 3rd for an overseas Wedding. It didn’t arrive as scheduled on the 4th, so I asked for a redirection the following day to my local Post Office - it didn’t arrive, then Parcelforce said it would be delivered there on the 5th - it didn’t arrive. Then
after several phone calls with Customer Service Agents, which was a complete waste of time I finally got an email saying it would be delivered on the 10th - yep IT DIDN'T ARRIVE. I was then told it would be escalated AGAIN and finally got an email a week into my trip to say it had been lost, so did I want another one (hardly as it was now a complete waste of time) or a refund - appalling customer service and communication
Sent my vacuum back to Dyson for a…Repair
Sent my vacuum back to Dyson for a fault it was repaired and sent back delivered to the wrong address no photo no signature I have been waiting for a week for DPD and Dyson to resolve this matter DPD are incompetent and Dyson are probably more incompetent in finding a solution this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced Dyson brand themselves as a quality item but unfortunately the aftercare repair service is the worst service I’ve ever experienced
My V11 is cutting off
My V11 is cutting off. Same issue happened twice, even after the main body replacement. Customer care says there is no warranty for the body parts, which is not what it says on the website
Premium Products, Disappointing Customer Service
I've always associated Dyson with premium products and premium customer service. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been the complete opposite.
After troubleshooting my vacuum with Dyson's support, I purchased a new battery and replacement filters in an attempt to fix the problem, only to discover that another part needed replacing. I placed an order for that part on 15th June and was told it would arrive within approximately 10 days.
When nothing happened, I had to chase Dyson multiple times by phone and email. Each time I contacted them, I received different and often conflicting information. Eventually, after several follow-ups, I was told that my order had never actually been processed due to a technical error on Dyson's side.
Instead of resolving the issue, I was then asked to place the order all over again and wait a further 14 working days.
As a customer, this is incredibly frustrating. Had Dyson processed my original order correctly, I would already have received the part. Instead, I have spent time chasing updates, trying to understand what is happening, and still don't have a working vacuum cleaner.
The timing couldn't be worse, as I'm currently in the middle of a flat renovation and need my vacuum cleaner every single day.
I appreciate that technical issues can happen, but what disappointed me most was the lack of proactive communication and the inconsistent information I received every time I contacted customer support. For a company that positions itself as a premium brand, I expected far better systems and a much higher standard of customer care.
I hope Dyson improves both its ordering systems and customer communication, because at the moment the service simply doesn't reflect the quality or price of its products.

Bought a Cool upright fan
Bought a Cool upright fan. It’s criminal that it’s called a cool anything. Basically a normal fan, sleek and powerful but just blows hot air around. It is literally fraudulent using the word cool. Should be under £100 will be returning
Product may or may not be good but…
Product may or may not be good but delivery is awful. Ordered a fan with free next day delivery. Order was confirmed within 1 hour. Next morning received notification that product had been shipped and was given tracking number. 24 hours after placing the order the tracker is showing that it has still not been collected by the courier. Spoke to customer services who said they were very sorry. Full stop. No suggestion as to when it might be delivered but they did say they were very busy so I guess that's OK. After me pushing they said they could refer it to the operations team or I could make a complaint. I said I would like to do both. I asked when I would get a response and was told the operations team aim to respond within 3 to 4 days but she couldn't say when I would get a response to the complaint. So an item that was sold with next day delivery may or may not be delivered sometime but no-one knows when and I may or may not get a response from Dyson in 3 to 4 days. Or longer. Or less. I'm not sure the person I spoke to really cared.
Disappointing and incredibly noisy—not what I expect from Dyson
As a long-time Dyson fan who has always been thrilled with their products, my experience with the new Hushjet Mini has been a massive letdown. It looked like the perfect companion for the current 35°C UK heatwave and summer holidays, but it honestly shouldn't have passed quality control.
The biggest issue is the irony of the name. There is absolutely nothing "hush" about it. The noise level is comparable to a commercial jet, making it completely unusable on a bus, a plane, or even by a quiet pool. Even on lower settings, it turns heads for all the wrong reasons. Furthermore, while it moves a lot of air, it just circulates hot air without actually cooling you down. On top of that, the unit is surprisingly heavy, and the intense vibrations gave my hand pins and needles after just 5–10 minutes of use. The poor design means you need to hold it above the air inlet holes, this doesn’t give you much room to grip it comfortably!
At £99 directly from Dyson, this feels like a complete waste of money and has seriously dented my trust in a brand I used to love. I hope this saves someone else from making the same mistake.
Dyson customer care don’t care…
Courier stated they tried to deliver…well the courier must have been either/or The Flash/Invisible Man/Person…sit on a throne of lies…plus filter price is shocking (that’s I know is not relevant but I thought I’d throw it in there…
No direct email address
Yesterday I purchased 2 Dyson PC1 cooling fans and asked that they be sent asap due to health issues. I did not receive any notification of despatch but both were delivered today and first impressions are really great. However I did have to contact customer service as I thought I had made an error registering the first one. I am old and my eyes are not as good these days. The customer service line tends to be answered by staff whose accents I find difficult to hear properly. To save embarrassment to both parties I feel there should be a customer service email address to which I could send a clear message and receive a clear answer. I do not use social media. Staff are patient, but I have to spell out words or email address. To be able to send an email would be quicker all-round in terms of time and effort. Surely this isn't beyond the capability of Dyson, or is it that they lack the will to care for older customers?
Worst experience I've ever had...
Worst experience I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing! Ordered a £12 part for our Dyson, was told allow up to 10 working days, waited 12 and still order hadn't been shipped so called customer service. They apologised and said they'd escalate the situation. We're now at 20 days since I placed the order so rang again, got some up himself nobody jobs worth trying to tell me I was advised it would be another 5 working days from when I phoned, I was never told this neither did Dysons communication state this! Next day I receive an email stating they've cancelled my order!? Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a company that sees themselves as cutting edge!! Avoid like the plague, I'll be buying much cheaper, and better Shark devices next time!!
Over 3 weeks I've been waiting for my…
Over 3 weeks I've been waiting for my hoover parts with 7 phone calls, I've so far had the wrong parts sent I've been double charged, I've raised complaints and still no working hoover. Mangers don't call back all that happens is they escalate your complaint and then you hear nothing.
Such a shame Dyson used to win award for their products and customers service, not now and I won't be purchasing for them again. They have lost a customer of over 15 years
Save your money and your time
I tried for over a month to get my broken fan repaired. I waited in on 5 separate occasions taking time off work and no one ever showed up.
When you speak to the online support team they apologise and say you have to rebook the repair, I just gave up in the end. There's seemingly no way to escalate or raise a complaint and speaking to the agents is like speaking to a stuck record.
Save your time and your money and don't get a Dyson product in the first place.
