Very disappointed with the outcome

Re; Order# UK290132. Now that all the 13 bulbs and tubers have had a chance to grow, I am very disappointed with the outcome. The Dahlia tubers were extremely small (in a large bag of compost) and the other bulbs were also small. None of the 3 shooting star bulbs grew, only 2 of the 3 lupins have grown. The oriental poppy has grown long green leaves, but no flower(s). The peony has foliage but no flower(s). The Dahlias are starting to grow, but are so weak compared with others from another source, and if they do produce any flowers, they will be extremely small. So overall, not a good experience with buying online. I am an experienced gardener and will most likely shop in person for any future purchases.

We have checked our records for Order UK290132 and can see that it was delivered on March 25th 2026. We did not receive any quality reports regarding this order, so this is the first time we are hearing about these concerns.

Several of the items mentioned, including peonies and oriental poppies, commonly establish foliage in their first season and do not always flower immediately. Dahlias are also still relatively early in their growing season and their eventual flower size cannot be determined from their current stage of growth.

That said, if some varieties genuinely failed to emerge, we would have appreciated the opportunity to review the issue directly and assist you under our Grow Guarantee.

Please contact our customer service team with the names of the varieties you believe failed, and we will be happy to review the matter with you.

Of numerous orders, about half the flowers are viable

I love that when I order from Dutch Grown, my order arrives faster than from any other vendor. However, of all my orders, only about half of each item came up this year. I order numerous products from many vendors each year, and other vendors' products simply came up at a much higher rate. I will be requesting refund/replacement for the items that only half came up or none appeared at all. Thank you.

These tulips? saved me, the epitome of JOY and DELIGHT.

my tulips from DutchGrown have saved me. we had a relentlessly tiresome “not spring” spring: windy, cloudy, arctic air even when the sun tries to warm things up (until just recently, as in yesterday…)

but the tulips I ordered from them? they did not care about anything other than just being tulips, and proceeded to bloom accordingly. they are exquisitely gorgeous, beautiful beyond words… stunning, happy, wonderful… strong and colorful and fiercely determined to make my life joyFULL. every. single. time. when i walk outside to visit them, i smile, they nod back full of love. or so it seems.

i will absolutely order from DutchGrown again. i am beyond impressed and satisfied doesn’t even begin to cover my delight with this company, and its product.
They even adjusted delivery date to match my return back home for the best possible planting, and so they wouldn't be sitting in their package waiting to BE planted, getting all depressed...

i can’t wait to get more, and my friends? are equally awed by these flowers.
i grew up in the 50s and 60s, when tulips were practically a requirement for post war houses, all tidy in a row. i just randomly and NOT IN A ROW planted in the very cold fall, crossed fingers, hoped (bc we all need all the hope we can muster) and here they are. And they last! Delivery was great. quality exceptional, my experience was absolutely worth it in every capacity.

Great service, not all plants were viable.

No problem with the service but only 3 of 6 Red Hot Poker plants grew. The looked questionable when they arrived. The gladiola bulbs were excellent and all are sprouting up!

I own 10 acres of country property

I own 10 acres of country property. A lot of it is manicured landscaping. I use DutchGrown a lot for display flowers. None have died yet! All good. That says something about their quality and my trust in this business.

Really disappointed with my tulips

Really disappointed with my tulips. I got some hideous ones I never chose - obviously until they flower, you just trust what you receive it correct. Another variety died off before flowering. Wouldn’t buy again.

I have only received half of my…

I have only received half of my original order to date. I am disappointed in the size and quality of product. I'm not even sure it will grow into something that I can plant in my garden. I had to plant the 5 items in small pots to try and nurse them along, as they are so small and fragile.
