Payment Taken Before Shipment

Be aware.
It seems they do not fully comply with their own Terms and Conditions (and thereby the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Distance Selling Regulations).
I placed an order on April 30th. The payment was captured on May 4th from my bank account (not just reserved, but actually debited), and only the day after, on May 5th, was the order shipped.
Better practice would be to first ensure the order can be fulfilled, by packaging and preparing it for shipment and then invoice it.

Your website states: "Your card will be debited once the order has been accepted."
However, my order was debited on May 4th, and first shipped after. If "accepted" means "processed/confirmed," then why was the payment captured before dispatch? This seems inconsistent with your stated policy.
Standard e-commerce practice:
You should only capture payment at dispatch. Otherwise, you expose yourself to poor business practices. For example:
Let’s say I place an order, you debit my card, and only afterward you attempt to assemble my order for shipment, only to discover an inventory error, meaning you cannot fulfil my order, even though you have already charged me.
Once more, better business practice would be to first assemble the order and, once ready for shipment, then debit the charge.

This is standard e-commerce practice and does not conflict with consumer legislation or our Terms & Conditions.

The best company I know, I always buy here and I will in the future. Very good quality of everything but delivery costs for non UK countries are high.

We keep these inline with Royal Mail prices for a 2kg package and always cover the extra postage costs ourselves for any larger orders that weigh considerably more to try and encourage our customers from abroad to continue to shop with us.

The jeans you ordered and returned were 40 Long, no problem at all to return for a refund.
The jeans were delivered on the 11th March at 11:33am and refund was issued on the 15th March. It’s a little unfair to say you are awaiting a refund after 2 weeks when in fact it was only four days (only 2 working days since I processed your refund on the weekend). Please consider revising your feedback, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

5 years loyalty on both side of the business, still top service from an independent seller, good jeans, and other trousers. I will come back next year for my autumn order. Quality allows single order per year for my classic every days jeans ans shirt.
