Defective hard drive. Slow shipping
Paid for priority shipping 1-3 days and it took 5 days. It also was shipped in bubble wrap inside a box with nothing else to keep it from bouncing around and becoming damaged. The Hard Drive is not recognized in BIOS and I have tried troubleshooting, it seems to be defective. Update: it was a defective drive as I purchased one elsewhere and installed it just fine. Instead of offering a refund like a reputable business, they want to charge me more money to return it!!! I didn't want a replacement as the first one was new supposedly? So I told them I wanted a full refund and them to pay shipping. Originally they denied a refund. After contacting PayPal I was able to work out a refund for the defective product. I did not get back any of the money for shipping and it cost me 16 more dollars to send it back. So I paid 70 originally and an additional 16 dollars to send it back. So I received a refund for the item only. 60.00 dollars. Had they paid me back for the shipping and this didn't cost me my time and 26 dollars for nothing, I would have given a 4 star rating. Customer service could be better and their website needs to be fixed as well as I could not log in to get help with my order.

For transparency, we want to clarify that this order was placed over the weekend (Saturday, the 22nd) when our business was closed. It was shipped promptly on Monday, the 24th, via USPS Priority Mail and delivered on Saturday, the 29th. While Priority Mail is typically a 2-3 day service, occasional delays can happen due to postal carrier factors outside our control.
After receiving the review, we promptly reached out to the customer to offer assistance. We confirmed that if the drive was defective, we would send a free replacement, as per our policy. However, the customer declined a replacement, stating they had already purchased another elsewhere, and instead requested a full refund with a prepaid return label. Our return policy includes a standard restocking fee, which helps cover incurred expenses and discourages price shopping after receiving an order.
While we understand the customer’s frustration, we stand by our policies, which are in place to ensure fairness for all our customers. We always encourage anyone with concerns to reach out before leaving a review so we can work towards a solution.
As a small, family-owned business, we take customer satisfaction seriously and appreciate the support of our many valued customers. We remain committed to providing excellent service and quality products!

Fast service, great communication. Even though I'm not that computer savvy, it was easy to find the parts I needed for my older laptop on the website. Would definitely use again.

Quality and accuracy, fairly priced
The website had accurate descriptions of the parts, along with detailed lists of the compatibility for my drive. The prices are good, and the part was shipped quickly. Thanks to this, I found the right drive to install on an older Acer, and it has become a good machine for some online gaming with the upgraded drive :)

Order confidence
Drive Solutions website was useful in confirming the proper drive for my NRV system. The direct replacement part was obsolete and I needed to buy the latest version. I know nothing about this technology, but the information on the website gave me confidence to order.
My only complaint was the entire time between order and receipt was longer than I hoped.

Excellent & Knowledgeable Customer Service
I'd originally bought an M.2 NVME drive/chip, which was not even being recognized by the BIOS in my friend's laptop (which I was upgrading). I called and spoke with Gregory, who shared his knowledge with me, and hooked me up with an exchange for the right drive, which I just installed, and is working flawlessly. I am very happy with this company, and will likely purchase from them again, as well as recommend them to all my PC geek friends!

Apaprently I'm a fraudster!
Decided I had placed fradulent order because I... didn't want to give them my phone number and get on the phone with them over a single $150 2 tb drive order, used a gmail address like `[email address]+identifier`, and opted for two-day shipping.
I've been trying to avoid ordering things from Amazon/Best Buy/newegg, but at least they've never sent me an angry email about how "the bank gives you your money back, the retailer, nope, they take the money back from us" and "hopefully for your sake you don’t need help with anything because good luck with that. Don’t call us!" (yes, not calling is the point.)

It seems this customer misunderstood our intentions and reasons for reaching out to verify information on an order they placed on our website. As part of our standard security measures, certain order details triggered a possible fraud alert in our system. To ensure the security of this transaction, we kindly ask for verification of the provided customer information. To protect credit card holders and maintain the integrity of our transactions, we occasionally verify order details. Unfortunately, fraudulent orders using stolen credit card information occur frequently, and verifying helps us prevent unauthorized transactions. This process also helps us avoid chargebacks, which result in financial losses for our business.
This order triggered a fraud alert due to fake phone # (555-555-5555), selecting air shipment for a high-priced discontinued item, and an unusual email address. Our order department reached out to the customer to ask for a phone #, so that we could call to verify the information before shipment. The customer did reply with their phone # and we tried to contact them without success. Requesting additional information seems to have frustrated the customer and it was requested we cancel the order if we needed to contact them.
Unlike larger companies like Amazon, we are a small business, and we must take extra precautions to ensure our orders are legitimate. This process helps us protect our customers from unauthorized transactions and safeguard our business from potential losses due to fraud.
We regret having to cancel an order, which led to disappointing a valued customer and receiving a one-star review. Unfortunately, incidents involving scammers have forced us to take precautions that sometimes affect genuine customers. We are sorry for this situation and remain committed to improving our processes to better serve honest customers and protect our business.
We sincerely apologize if our previous email came across as angry. Our frustration with the situation may have unintentionally affected our tone, and we deeply regret if this caused any discomfort. Please know that our intention was never to upset you, and we truly value your understanding.
