Cannot recommend Debbie from Customer Services enough. My husband received a Draper tool for Christmas but when he came to try it it failed to switch on. The “giver” couldn’t remember where it had been purchased and couldn’t find the receipt because of memory problems. Debbie went out of her way to help us and eventually hubby received a replacement. To say we are grateful is an understatement. Well done Debbie!

Normally without a receipt Draper could do nothing for me but as a gesture of goodwill they kindly replaced my broken tool. Thanks Fran 👍🏻

750w submersible pump (with integrated switch).
I do wonder about Draper's product design, and also how much product testing (if any) is done.
I wanted a pump for a sump hole, and one with an integrated switch was ideal to pump out shallow water (a type with float switch on the end of half a metre of cable would be useless).
Draper pump is in a concrete hole. It pumped out water in hole 3 times......then the float STUCK (permanently on and running dry). There are no obstructions what so ever in the hole. I jiggle the pump (and so rattle the switch), and the motor switches off. It will then work again a few times before getting stuck again.
The pump cannot be left unattended for more than 10 minutes, and is not fit for purpose, as a (manufacturer's claim) automatic pump.
A message to Draper's quality control and product design people: "DO YOUR JOB!".

It was a pleasant surprise to find my old fork was covered by a "life time guarantee" and even more so that it was honoured by Draper without dispute. It certainly goes a long way to foster brand loyalty. A pleasant experience!

Excellent customer service from Gina at Draper CS. I had an issue with a cheap hose spray that fell apart after 9 months. I dropped them an email asking if it was covered by any warranty. Gina replied the very next morning saying they were sending me a replacement.
If only all companies were as easy to deal with.

Edit: Received the very next day. This kind of CS is what makes customers choose one supplier over another.

I bought a Draper "Belt and Disc Sander 300W". Once I received it I sought to buy some extra sanding discs which are 127mm diameter, I searched the internet but could not find this size, EVEN ON THE DRAPER WEB SITE. I contacted customer services and was advised my request had been passed to "technical services" after a few days I had no response and requested a response, but was advised technical services were "closed until the new year!" Im at a loss as to the need for technical advice on the size, and availability, of sanding discs for a machine they sell, was available from them, the total ineptitude and what appears to be the supply of a machine for which they do not stock consumable spares for is incredible.

I had an issue with a builders’ trestle bought online. It couldn’t be assembled because some holes weren’t in the right place. I rang support and spoke to James. He sent me an email with requests for a photo of the part, part number and proof of purchase. He replied to say that a complete replacement was on its way for delivery in 2 or 3 days. It arrived next morning. Well done James!

Gina answered my email and everything was fantastic from there on! I had a problem sourcing spare blades and Gina fixed everything by sending a replacement out by return. I could not ask for more. She had a lovely manner and her emails were carefully typed, with good grammar and spelling which reflects very well on Draper. So often now companies seem to be happy letting anyone reply to their post whether they can or can be bothered to type correctly or not. It sounds petty but it is still important. I'm giving Gina a good review for being professional and helping me and giving Draper a good review for employing Gina and giving her authority to act on her own initiative.
