Most of the meat and shellfish I have bought have been excellent . It is very expensive so I wait for offers. I have had two orders where I was very disappointed with the meat and when I tried to request a refund or discussion there was no way to do it online. I took photos and decided I would probably not order again.

I have been a regular customer of DR for a number of years and purchase their meat on a regular basis. The quality and flavour is fantastic and, to date, all deliveries have been on the agreed date within the delivery time slot. You need to be a little careful with the “cooking times” but these are only a guide and are great as a starter. They have some great offers which is ideal to keep the freezer “topped up”.

Sorry to say I think the quality has gone down of late, I recently purchased some barbecue pork ribs, there was hardly any meat on them and they were tough, also the fillet mince I purchased did not have much taste to it v ery disappointed

Excellent products but you pay for it. Watch out for their excellent deals though. Packages can leak when defrosting so place in containers. Great delivery. Great company

Steak fillets were perfect and fantastic value for money. The special deals are great and I have also ordered my Christmas fare from them. Delivery quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Sausages, mince steak & ribeye burgers were all beautiful. Shared some of it with my daughter and neighbour & within the week have placed 2 more orders for all 3 of us as we were all delighted with it all especially with the ribeye burgers

Reliable service, reliable and high quality flavour

I have used Donald Russell for years and the meat is always terrific. Their recipe instructions are spot-on too. If you have a problem cooking anything, they will ring you back with expert advice.
The meat is good value if you buy the special offers (although this season the bargains are generally less generous than in the past).
Only the polystyrene packaging makes me feel at all guilty about using the firm to supplement my local butcher's offerings.

Always very pleased with meat from Donald Russell & fish is especially good. I like knowing where meat comes from. Prompt delivery.

I’ve been looking for what I call a “proper” butcher for a long time, I’ve tried 1or2 online but Donald Russell beats them all hands down. Everything we’ve tried steaks, burgers, sausage’s, bacon, diced chicken mince,braising/stewing beef, chicken gravy and lasagna are all top quality products. I would highly recommend Donald Russell for quality meats at great prices.

I have shopped with Donald Russell for years, and they have never let me down! I trust them implicitly with every order I make. I’m not wealthy, but their food offers true value as everything is of the highest standard and taste. Just take advantage of the special offers when the come up! The frozen food is so convenient. And I noticed the packaging is greener now, which is just great.

Used this company for many years, always first class service, delivery and products. Look forward to the new packaging though.

Good food,reliable service and great price when on offer!

I have used this company lots of times and their meat is always tender and succulent. The steaks we got in our last order were the nicest steaks we have ever had. I highly recommend this company.

All the orders I’ve had so far have been great no complaints whatsoever. The lasagne was particularly nice

Dreadful customer service. Tried to contact DR to explain order not delivered by FedEx who texted me late at night that would actually they deliver 2 days after agreed date! So ruined my family celebration dinner the following day. Fedex then texted that I had missed redelivery and that they had left card with details - no card! No answer to 3 anguished emails to DR. ‘Phoned them 4 times and was told that could arrange a callback in busy time. No! Just told to ring back later. FedEx then turned up and meat defrosting. Stressful and unpleasant.

Beware. Can't get a refund for goods that arrived open. I ordered 10 packs of sausages, 4 of which arrived already open. I've emailed three times and no one replies. This morning I tried to call and it keeps you on hold for 10 minutes and then hangs up on you. Left having to go to my credit card company to try and het a refund.

Dreadful customer service, tried calling two days in a row (was advised of call back, if no one answered) this did not happen twice - no reply to my emails - as I tried to add on to existing order!

Shame as good food however poor communications!!!! every year Christmas happens - Donald Russell does not seem to accommodate for this?
