Auto-Renew-Failure
I stopped auto-review but now the 3rd time in a row they are charging my credit-card with the monthly fee although:
- I'm not longer in the country where I originally purchased the prepaid sim-card
- I haven't used it anymore and disposed the sim-card.
- I contacted Digicel but got no reply
- I got a SMS confirming that the service will end
After several reclamations I eventually got the amounts credited. Not excellent but at the end more or less ok.
Should be 0 stars, st. Lucia
I needed 15 days of service. They sold me a 5 day sim and 2 more 5 day add ons. They told me that they would automatically upload. My service ended after 5 days. I contacted customer service and was told yes you paid for 15 days and can't fix the problem. Oops sorry. I could pay more to extend my service. But lost the $51 that I already paid .
Rain not working... No help from costumer aervice
Bought esim with credit before arriving in Jamaica. When in Jamaica , I activated the sim but it was not working. I went to the store, they couldn't help. I filed a complaint on internet and never got help from them.

Worst provider ever
Worst provider ever. Got a SIM card in Martinique for my trip, turned out my new phone # doesn’t work, the 5€ plan I bought which gave me 2x500 MO + minutes to call and free SMS ended in less than 24 hours despite the fact that my cellphone network is always off and I’ve been using the wifi all the time.
Tried to talk to customer service with the chat bot… they cut me off before my problem was solved. Tried to phone them… it won’t work since I have no more data even though their marketing card says that the customer service # is free (555). My husband charged 25€ on his account and is not even able to make phone calls or text another number from Martinique.
Following a satisfaction survey I answered on the chat service where I gave a 0 star on 10, I got a phone call from the customer service (with a real agent on the line!) asking me why I gave such a bad rating. After explaining them why, they asked me if I could answer the survey again but this time giving them a satisfactory rating. The agent even dared to tell me that a satisfactory rating is either a 9 or a 10 on 10. No way I’ll give them that rating!!!
Will never ever consider buying a Digicel SIM card anywhere in the world, even though it was the only provider available. Would manage to do with wifi only and print maps!
Staff not knowledgeable in St Lucia
I had texted customer service and got someone in digicel St Lucia who completely shut down because they couldn't deal with my query. They just kept saying it's done now and not able for refund. The following day I called someone from digicel Jamaica who listened to me and sorted out my problem. This was about shake and win as I was being charged and should not of as it's free 50 min calls. Thank you to the lady from digicel JA. I was so furious and on the verge of changing supplier. I hope this doesn't happen again when I make calls to England. PLEASE TRAIN THE STAFF IN ST LUCIA
Day Light Robbery. Blasé Attitude. THIEVES
Whilst in Jamaica I went to a Digicel shop to buy a sim card and Data package for my time there. I told the assistant how long I'd be there and what I'll be using so we could choose the correct data package. She showed me which one, I agreed, I bought it and left the shop. A week later my data had run out. I went back to the shop and she looked at my phone trying to 'figure out' why. We went through it AGAIN and she put the package on my phone. A week later I was back as I realised she put on the wrong data. I went to the shop and she said 'I thought that gave you the things you were asking for'. I explained to her that that was not the package we agreed on. So she had to put the correct package on telling me that it was going to come out of her pay cheque. These people are born liars. She had blatantly daylight-robbed me. They are so blasé over there with zero customer service qualities and do not see that by looking after their customers, they will return to do more business with them. I WILL NEVER use Digicel again. Untrustworthy lying, bad-mannered, thieving, unprofessional assistants with zero training or managers to handle international customers. Basically, Jamaican customer service all over the island.
Digicel SIM card mis-selling
I went to the Digicel shop in Bridgetown Barbados to buy a SIM card ahead of a cruise. I made it clear that I needed a card which worked in Barbados and on (at least some) other islands that would be visited on the cruise. I was sold a card for 55 Barbadan dollars.
The first island visited was St. Lucia but with no sign of a mobile connection. Same island number 2 and on number 3 I got off the tender and saw a mobile phone supplier. 'That won't work here' he said 'or any other island than Barbados'. It was pretty obvious he had heard the story before and there was nothing else I could do (I checked out the issue at a 2nd shop down the road and received the same advice).
On returning to Barbados I went back to the Digicel shop. Not interested. Offered to credit my account but couldn't give refund even taking account that some time was spent using the card in Barbados (i.e. wasn't expecting a full refund). Given that I was leaving Barbados next day, a credit was hardly useful.
Clearly this is easy money for Digicel. They could easily have said when I asked: "This card will ONLY work on Barbados". Instead they said NOTHING so I assumed it would as that is what I asked for. Prior to this I have bought local SIM cards in 2 other countries with no problem. I'll be more careful in future. The result of my problem was that I incurred outrageous roaming charges with my UK provider. Criminally outrageous IMHO.
I now know you can can get multi-island packages for the Carribean, but you need to do a bit more homework to find out how. Certainly don't just beleive you will be sold the correct SIM card at the local Digicel shop.
Would give them negative stars if…
Would give them negative stars if possible. I'm on vacation and have been dealing with 3 separate plans they sold me none work. When u call them or go on chat they just hang up on you
Only have one store in curacoa that is an hour and 20 minutes away from were I am staying. The worst service I have ever had period. No customer service.
Run from digicel or plan to buy a new phone
Well, digicel outdid themselves. Mms stopped working, store said my phone did not have mms . . . In the states it did.
Whatever they did has now created a wonderful need to get rid of my samsung a42. . . Completely ruined. This is disgusting. Shelling out another 450 us to replace my phone does not make a happy day. Phone doc intown said they reset it on default a day it lost the unlocked feature
By a piece if crap phone to use with digicell or flow. Justvroyally frosted. Run from them
Not happy with Digicel
Wish I could give Zero Stars. Not happy with Digicel. As a new customer had problems navigating their APP. Most confusing app, and if you push the wrong link, they WILL NOT help you correct your mistake, even when it was an obvious error. Be careful with the app, and don't bother contacting customer service. They have your money. It is gone. Let it go.
HORRIBLE NON-CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Digicel online assistance is the most horrible experience!!! With a 94% negative rating, I wonder that Digicel management does not make an immediate change. As always, if people keep using Digicel, there's no reason for them to make any positive changes!!! I will be switching to BMobile!
Dishonest thieves
Ambiguous recharge process, leading to mistakes.
A mistake was made, and I spent 20 euros to recharge an invalid number that doesn't even exist.
Nevertheless they refused to reimburse me, even though the order was invalid to begin with, and even tho French consumption law enforce them to reimburse. They are violating the law everyday, their customer service is abominable.
Digicel's been providing Nauru network…
Digicel's been providing Nauru network service for year and still network always been failed slow & playing up connection. Hopefully soon our government kick them out for good and find a better company that could solve this issues. It's been too long 👎
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. No one knows what is going on. Internet service randomly drops.

Digicel should stop auto renew and allow people to opt-in if they wish.
I had bought a plan but had problems with Internet dropping. The Internet is so unreliable i only buy when no other choice. I try to cancel auto renew immediately you buy a plan, or you'll loose credit. All in all a bad service with money grabbing practice's.
I continually receive promotion codes…
I continually receive promotion codes that never work. I email them directly and it is the same go around every time. They will look into it, I never receive a resolution. They have sent me the same code for weeks Free200..
