Bought a new 20v leaf blower from…
Bought a new 20v leaf blower from Amazon. Only used it 5 times and it died. Was out of the 30 day return period so I couldn't return it to Amazon. Dewalt customer service is awful!! Multiple emails asking the same questions. Finally after 3 weeks they sent me a prepaid label to send it one of their service centers. That was 2 weeks ago. No acknowledgement it was received, nothing. Filled out a form online to inquire about - no response to that either. Then customer service gave me a number to call and that comes up with "call can't be completed". Very frustrated and I am done with Dewalt. Used to be a good brand. Thought I was buying something reliable. Apparently not. Manufacturing date is March of 2025 so this isn't a "2nd's" item or remanufactured item.

make it impossible to leave reviews on…
make it impossible to leave reviews on products. You have to contact them via email, they send you an email back which you fill in and return- no way of knowing if or where a poor product review will ever be published- probably won't be. Must be the only company I have ever dealt with that doesn't have a "review" button somewhere- lack of confidence in their own products? Big strapline on their website about registering in Mydewalt so that you can leave reviews for other pros but this not true. Also having useless chatbot and to speak to Indian call centre very poor for what are supposed to be high end tools. Stupid thing is, I am overall very happy with my dozens of Dewalt tools and wanted to leave a mostly positive product review.
DeWalt – you are responsible. Stop hiding behind contractors who extort and insult your customers.
To all potential customers considering DeWalt: don’t make the same mistake I did!
The quality of DeWalt tools has dropped significantly, and their so-called warranty is just a marketing gimmick used to pass you off to third-party contractors who do whatever they want with zero accountability.
I’m a professional with over 30 years of hands-on experience. I handle tools daily and can identify a defect by sound alone. I purchased the DCD703, used it once, and instantly noticed a manufacturing defect in the chuck – unstable and not holding correctly. I took photos before sending it, clearly showing it in almost brand-new condition.
I contacted DeWalt support, which turned out to be Stanley Black & Decker UK
They told me:
> “If it’s a manufacturing defect – it will be repaired under warranty. If it’s wear and tear – it will cost £51.59.”
I stayed home the entire day for the UPS collection, losing £250 in wages, fully trusting that the warranty would be respected.
And what did I receive in return?
A vague reply from some “technician” claiming the damage was “wear and tear from regular use”.
What use?! I used it once!
No report, no images, no proof. Just a demand for money.
If I refuse to pay – they want £25 + VAT because someone “looked at it”.
Looked at it for what – one minute? Or maybe didn’t even look at all?
This seems to be a standard extortion tactic.
What’s worse, some so-called “expert” – who likely has no real experience with tools – is trying to tell me, a professional, that I don’t know how much I’ve used my own tool.
Apparently, I imagined the whole thing, but he knows better — without ever having used it, heard it, or worked with it.
I formally urge DeWalt to take immediate action regarding warranty request (13104498)
and stop this disgraceful extortion by incompetent middlemen who are dragging your brand into the dirt

Batterie life is sporadic on all sizes, home use.
I love DeWalt tools when I was a contractor I had all DeWalt tools but a few that DeWalt didn't make. My main complaint then and now (Retired) are the lifetime of the batteries, all sizes. Some would last a very long time and some not so much. Now that am retired the cost is the biggest issue. Can't afford to replace them on retired income. Some last a very long time and some not at all. Problem, not sure if it is the batteries or charger. But I can't afford to replace them both at the same time to trouble shoot the problem. I see this problem with the pole chain saw and the pole trimer more than others. The 20 volt blower batteries are the same. almost like it is with the tools that require more power, not small tools like drills etc.
DeWalt is an unreliable business…
DeWalt is an unreliable business partner supplier an old-fashioned small print cheater and very unreliable with their service and guarantees.
All their advertising campaigns are sham, a sham, counterfeit, false, misleading, deception, show, counterfeit, imitation, counterfeit, facade, better go to the competitor Makita
If you still want to buy a DeWalt device, BUY IT FROM AMAZONE avg. 25% to 30% cheaper plus super fast delivery.
The Case
On July 1, spoke to DeWALT by phone about DEWALT BUY & GET OUTDOOR - 3975519 (cashback promotion) buy a certain device and choose a device as a gift from four products.
After purchasing and filling in all forms, it turns out that they discriminate at which store you bought the DeWALT product.
Is this a case of parallel import that allows Amazon to set a cheaper price, how can THAT difference in price of no less than 27% cheaper for a chainsaw come about.
DeWalt supplies Amazon with larger discounts and then excludes (discrimination) those consumers who use the discount of, among other things, the cashback system and all their other advertising benefits to compensate for these discounts. The others do get it, but that is a cigar from their own box. They still work old-fashioned and underhandedly with the small print in their terms and conditions, without CLEARLY mentioning such important exceptions in their promotions and advertisements.
------------------------------------------------------------
This is what DeWalt replied! On July 3rd
The product was purchased via Amazon, which is not a participating store according to the terms and conditions of this promotion. This is stated in point 4 of the terms and conditions, where it is clearly stated that purchases via unauthorized resellers, including platforms such as Amazon, are excluded from participation.
------------------------------------------------------------
Can someone explain to me how I recognize unauthorized resellers and why they can/may sell the DeWalt product?
Butter on the head of our loving Belgian neighbors Toolnation? Or on the head of AMF?
I now regret my choice with DeWalt because whoever does such antics will certainly also have small print in Guarantees (which you can read back at trustpilot.
Conclusion DeWalt a producer with a double face speaking with a forked tongue.
A procedure has now been started the SER parallel import is prohibited among other things and they have deliberately and knowingly allowed that, so they also disadvantage (as they call it) them well-approved resellers. Furthermore a report of discrimination (also prohibited) to the College for Human Rights.
DeWalt a dubious old-fashioned small gnome-print company. DO NOT DO IT. Check regularly we will keep you informed
Bought a DEWALT XR Pole Hedge Trimmer…
Bought a DEWALT XR Pole Hedge Trimmer 18V Bare Unit
DCMPH566N a while ago as I found my petrol hedge cutter too heavy as I have arthritis. The DeWalt pole hedge trimmer I find very awkward to use . It is top heavy and the head is permanently loose, causing the cutter to drag.In a lot of pain after using this.
I purchased a brand new Dewalt lawn…
I purchased a brand new Dewalt lawn mower, it doesn't work, and they will not honour any commitment or warranty even though it has only been 3 months from purchase.
Horrible return policy
Horrible return policy. Burnt drill and grinder.
They said they would refund my grinder then said my grinder was in service when it never was. Ridiculous. Never again. Been going on for months.
The dewalt trimmer was designed…
The dewalt trimmer was designed beautifully and I loved it 5 stars for sure!
Warranty service worthless and…
Warranty service worthless and misleading.
Nothing but games. Referred me to store to
get rid of me. Then agreed to honor claim and
asked for receipt and mailing address (which was
reasonable). Send..then claimed never sent, kept emailing and calling. No response. Recording says
they will call back...never do. Obviously a call center
in another nation. For such supposed "high quality"
items, customer service is worthless.
3 Item Dewalt Kit two out of three being incorrect models
I've bought a Dewalt 4&6 amp hour batteries complete with a charger. There was a promotion, if you bought this kit you would receive one of several cordless tools without a battery.
So, the three items in this DCB2460C kit, two of the three items were the wrong items.
It was supposed to be a six amp battery charger but they only sent the four amp. Secondly, the 4 amp hour battery was correct as far as the amps, but different than the four amp battery that was supposed to be supplied with kit.
I pointed this out to Dewalt customer service and they said they will send the correct battery charger, but not the correct four amp battery, because I did tell them I would accept the lighter, slightly weaker four amp that was incorrect in the kit.
I had an email sent from Dewalt stating that they will send the charger and it could take up to two weeks.
I can sort of sense that customer service is quite disorganized and I have replied to the email, now four different days in a row, to ask what model number of charger they sent out. No response at all.
All I was trying to do was make sure that they sent out the correct model number as to make everybody's life easier. I guess I will just have to wait and see if the item arrives at all and if so if it is the correct item?
I have many of their tools and I'm satisfied, but I am quite surprised they have up to this point, terrible customer service.
I am shocked by their attitude towards…
I am shocked by their attitude towards us, their customers.
I will never buy anything from the Dewalt brand again.
Not because their products are bad but because of their disgusting customer service.
I have never come across such a disgusting attitude.
I don't see any point in describing my case in detail because I read what other people write.
Do not like terms of Dewalt online repair for warranty service.
I purchased a DCPR320B 20v hand pruner that aparently broke yesterday. Blade would only slightly move and not cut. Contacted customer support and discovered there was not a nearby repair center. So, I would have to use online repair where I could be charged $61 for a repair plus return shipping. Very disappointed that Dewalt warranty/repair service has become so bad.
Faulty product but Dewalt reject to service in warranty period
I bought a Dewalt trimmer from SGS Engineering, but it was faulty (keeps stopping/starting). SGS "repaired" it but sent it back unfixed. When I followed up, they refused to help and told me to contact Dewalt.
Dewalt's rejects my warranty claim because SGS’s invoice lacked details (payment confirmation, product detail etc.). I am providing actual invoice from SGS.
Here is Dewalt's answer:
We are unable to contact the retailer directly on your behalf.
Once you are able to provide the invoice, we will be happy to proceed with processing your warranty claim.
