I purchased a combi drill under a year ago and it's developed a fault. After being messed around by the retailer for two months I was told to contact DeWalt directly, so I tried calling today and not... See more

I am a professional bathroom fitter and…
I am a professional bathroom fitter and tiler, and whilst starting a job, my Dewalt 24000 large wet tile cutter decided to stop working. I rang the Warranty support line at Dewalt, and they told me they would need a copy of my receipt and warranty, then followed up with an email to that effect. I was on site, so I sent screenshots of both docs as my phone memory was full, so I couldn't download copies. I rang them later in the day to confirm. They accepted these, and I expected to receive a confirmation about when they could collect. The next day, I went to the site and checked my email, only to receive an email saying they wanted the actual PDF for the Warranty. Even though they had already told me that a screenshot was sufficent, they demanded a PDF. This is Dewalt asking me to send them their Warranty document! Another day wasted, and now I had to send them the PDF, which I did. Last thing on a Friday, I got an email confirming UPS Collection between 8 am and 6 pm. No estimated time for collection, and they insist on the device being in a box. Where on earth do I get a box that big before Monday? It's 32 inches long and 24 inches wide. I asked if they could speak to UPS so I could go purchase a BOX, and the response was, "We don't provide packaging." They obviously don't read my emails, as I just needed time to pick one up when the place opens at 8:30. Anyway, I have packed the device now (£25 for packaging) and am now sitting here not working all day, costing me money and reputation. Needless to say, I won't be buying Dewalt tools anymore, as the service is really poor!
What an absolute shit show of a…
What an absolute shit show of a company. Their customer care is non existent. Would never buy a product from them again.
What an awful company
It’s now been 33 days with a sander (waiting for it to be collected for a warranty claim ) living in my kitchen like it’s signed a long‑term tenancy agreement. At this point, it’s the most consistent presence in this entire situation.
As for the manager who was supposed to contact me. I can only assume they’ve been recruited by NASA and are currently busy circumnavigating the Moon on Artemis, because that’s the only logical explanation for communication this catastrophically absent.
If they ever return to Earth’s atmosphere, please let them know a customer has been waiting.
The level of non‑action here isn’t just disappointing — it’s genuinely impressive. It takes real commitment to achieve absolutely nothing for over a month.
So here it is, clearly and without any padding:
Someone needs to get off their backside and actually deal with this.
Not “soon.”
Not “we’ll pass it on.”
Now.
Because right now, the only entity showing any reliability whatsoever…
is the sander.
And even it looks embarrassed on your behalf.
Batteries have lasted over 10 years....
Disappointed that one of my first Flexvolt batteries only lasted 10 years..... lol
In my workshop I have around 35 DeWalt tools plus storage, trolleys, attachments, hand tools, etc...
My collection also includes 18v batteries dating back to 2013 and Flexvolt batteries dating back to July 2016, shortly after being released for the first time.
In my time as a DeWalt owner and user I've only had two tools go faulty, one was a basic 18v impact wrench which was fixed by warranty and just a wire at fault. The other tool was an 18v blower that was well used for a good 5 or 6 years so it was no surprise that it came to a natural end of life.
To say that I'm happy with my DeWalt tools and had my monies worth from them and the batteries is an understatement.
I would always recommend DeWalt and Milwaukee, as they are the same fundamentally.
DCW620NT-XJ Router Number
I purchased the DCW620NT-XJ Router and it came with a 12mm and 8mm collet not the standard 1/2" and 1/4". This has now cost me £100 more to get the fittings.
Dewalt stated each retailer sells metric or imperial. But the issue is they sell these in imperial and metric with the exact same part number. Customer support was terrible, with the only option to return it. Instead of sending the imperial sizes, and or swapping them.
Please check if you buy this model as it will only tell you whats included on each retailers site what is in the box. The part number is useless as it does not change.
So again another £100 wasted, no help or Support from Dewalt to rectify this issue. Clearly a sales and marketing scam to make you buy other parts if you do not get the correct one.

Will never buy Dewalt again. Shocking service
My wife bought me a Dewalt cordless drill for Christmas
I tried to register for 3 year warranty on Christmas day but this was not successful. Contacted their customer service department and told that as I am now out with their 30 day registration period I am not eligible for 3 year warranty.
Explained that whilst my wife bought this in November I was not aware of the item until Christmas day.
Absolutely disgusted.
A quality item was bought and I was expecting a quality service.
Mine is just one of similar reviews about shocking service
Dewalt you should take note!!
Will never buy Dewalt again
DeWalt is the worst they refuse to…
DeWalt is the worst they refuse to replace a battery that I purchased for my son 3 months ago lowes said to call DeWalt but the deWalt says they will not replace it it's just horrible so I'm out money because Lowe's won't replace anything over 3 months and a DeWalt will not even try to replace it they were rude and I'm out 40 bucks I would never buy DeWalt products again
Customer service is the worst I have…
Customer service is the worst I have had in years. I bought a multi tool and was missing parts. I contacted the retailer who offered a full refund straight away. Unfortunately they dont do replacements you have to buy another one. But the price has jumped up by £45. So I contacted DeWalt who where useless said the dont carry spare parts and thats there service center. What a bunch of cowboys Good tools crap service
Beware with warranty terms and…
Beware with warranty terms and conditions. Even to get the basic 1 year guarantee you must register within 4 weeks of purchase. I was given DeWalt tools as Xmas present but they were bought several weeks earlier when there was a special offer on. Plus the 3 year warranty mentioned in the blurb with the tool is only available for trade and professional users.
Warranty is a joke
Warranty is a joke.
You’ll not get anything fixed and fobbed off.
54volt batteries are awful and won’t last 12 months
Very disappointing warranty support
Extremely disappointed with DeWalt’s warranty handling.
I received two drills as part of an official DeWalt promotion when purchasing a garden strimmer. I registered one of the drills correctly, but unfortunately ended up using the other one, which later developed a clear fault (reverse selector behaving incorrectly and a seized chuck).
Despite providing full proof of purchase, promotion confirmation, and flagging the issue before the tool was collected for repair, DeWalt refused to offer any warranty support purely because that specific serial number was not registered — even though it came from the same promotion, same purchase date, and same bundle.
The tool was already collected by their authorised repair centre before DeWalt responded, only for me to be told later that warranty would not be honoured and I should pay £59.99 + VAT for the repair instead.
This wasn’t misuse or abuse of the warranty — just an administrative mistake — yet there was zero goodwill or flexibility shown. Very rigid interpretation of policy and poor customer experience overall.
For a premium brand, I expected far better support.
brilliant
their circular saw is a beast of a tool, cuts like a hot knife through butter and makes a fresh clean cut, not to mention ease of use and satisfying result.
I rarely leave negative reviews
I rarely leave negative reviews, especially for brands I’ve supported for years, but my recent experience with DeWalt has been so frustrating and unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others.
I purchased a DeWalt 18V pressure washer for £400 — a premium price that should come with premium reliability and support. Unfortunately, the lance gun began leaking, making the tool difficult and inefficient to use. These things happen, and I wasn’t upset initially. What turned this into a deeply disappointing experience was the way DeWalt handled the issue from start to finish.
When I contacted customer support, I explained clearly that the only faulty component was the lance gun. Their solution? I was told I must send in the entire pressure washer — the full, heavy, bulky machine — just to repair the leaking gun.
I no longer have the original box, and this equipment is massive. Finding safe packaging would have cost me additional money and time, and even then, without the original foam and structure, there’s a high risk of it being damaged in transit. On top of that, sending the entire unit leaves me without a working pressure washer for my business, even though the washer itself is fine.
I politely asked, multiple times, if I could send in just the gun, the only part affected. Not only would this save me trouble and cost, it would save DeWalt on transport as well. Instead, I received the same rigid, dismissive response over and over: “No.”
No flexibility. No understanding of the practical issues. No attempt to offer an alternative solution. Just a flat refusal, repeated in every email.
What shocked me most was the complete lack of customer care. It felt like dealing with a company that had no interest in actually helping its customers — just ticking boxes and quoting policy, even when it makes zero sense. You’d expect better from a global brand, especially for products at this price point.
As a business owner, and someone who has actually served as a DeWalt brand ambassador, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I have recommended DeWalt tools for years based on their quality and reliability, but after being treated with such inflexibility and indifference, I’m seriously reconsidering that loyalty. If this is how they handle support issues, especially for customers who stand behind their brand, then something is very wrong.
For anyone considering a purchase: be aware that if something goes wrong, you may find yourself stuck in the same frustrating loop I went through — expensive equipment, a simple fault, and a support process that seems more focused on rules than solutions.
Extremely disappointing experience from a brand I once trusted.

I bought the dewalt cordless vac it probably the worst cordless tool I’ve ever bought. I’ve got loads of dewalt kit and this has put me off as it’s proper rubbish
Completely inept
Completely inept. 3times returned and not identified fault. They keep returning but no communication. Buy Milwaukee or anything else . Inexcusably bad
Disappointed with reliability of DeWalt DCS355
I’ve always chosen DeWalt tools for their professional reputation, but my experience with the DCS355 Brushless Multi-Tool has been disappointing.
I bought it for some DIY work at home, expecting the usual DeWalt quality. Unfortunately, the first unit stopped working within weeks, and even the replacement developed the same issue shortly after. Both had to be returned — not something I’d expect from a premium brand.
It’s a shame, because when the tool worked, it performed really well — comfortable to use and powerful enough for my needs. But the reliability just hasn’t matched the reputation.
I hope DeWalt takes note and looks into quality control for this model, as I’d really like to keep trusting their tools in future.
Most comments are bs to be honest
Most comments are bs to be honest. Never once have dewalt turned down a repair. They even collect and drop at youre door. Registration can be a bit slow sometimes but so far repaired 2 3 of my tools .I would add my email confirmations if I could to show

avoid after sales are shit new drill and driver battery will not charge contacted Dewalt go back to the company who sold it you £295 down the drain . have purchased a set from Milwaukee
Not really trustworthy.
My account no longer works contact customer service told they will get back to me and didn't. So started a new account to register another Dewalt purchase. Registering is a nightmare when i tapped in my model number it says not recognised purchased from screwfix. Checked online it is a genuine model. Contacted customer service again telling me a fault with their system. I believe they dont want to give you the 3 year warranty this has happened on a previous product i purchased. Do no trust dewalt.
