Not sonos compatibel
I have tried Deezer, but it is not in app compatible with Sonos. They Sault they are working on it(hello it is 2026)? Therefore when you have sonos, better use a different platform like Spotify.
Interface simple et efficace,bon son…
Interface simple et efficace, bon son hifi,et surtout j’adore l’equaliser indispensable quand on aime le bon son .
I’ve tried other streaming platforms
I’ve tried other streaming platforms, but Deezer is by far the best. The Flow function is absolutely genius; it’s like it reads my mind and knows exactly what I want to hear!
Discriminatory and anti-artist. Avoid if you use modern tools.
Deezer is systematically suppressing independent musicians. I use sophisticated AI tools to translate my original piano progressions into full arrangements--a creative choice that allows me to achieve a scale that would otherwise require a massive budget.
Despite my creative direction and authorship, Deezer flagged my music as "AI-generated," which excludes it from all algorithmic recommendations. They are effectively shadowbanning artists who use technology to level the playing field. Their policies are insulting and fail to distinguish between low-effort "slop" and genuine artist-led compositions. I am pulling all my music from the platform. If you use AI to enhance your workflow, Deezer does not want you there.
SCAM, Intrasparent, rude unhelpful support
I used to be with Deezer for 3 years on a Deezer HiFi plan. No issues whatsoever. Apparently, Deezer HiFi plan was deprecated, so I was offered to move to Deezer Premium - I double checked with the guidelines, and it did mention explicitly that it does have HiFi/lossless quality. I did switch the plan, only to realise that lossless is gone (apparently, country limitations WHICH ARE NOT COMMUNICATED ANYHOW, NO INFO ON DEEZER.COM about that, THIS IS ONLY WHAT I'M TOLD BY SUPPORT). This offer was driven by Deezer, and it WAS NOT anyhow communicated to me in the process.
Then I reached out to support, and the agent basically told me to get lost, "it's your fault, you haven't really upgraded" haha.
That's not how you're doing business.
And of course, one day after I paid for the whole freaking year, cancellation is non-refundable, because "you can use our useless service for the whole year now, since we tricked you into buying".
Everything is nice
Everything is nice, but you have to pay before listening to any song at all
Worst App & Customer Service
Downloaded the app which wouldn’t work, cancelled & deleted straight away.
Over a month later iv been Charged £11.99.
Refuse to reply to me even though iv emailed & commented on numerous Facebook posts.
Unbelievable!
In addition to the other 1 and 2 star reviews below, Deezer has been by far the worst platform I’ve ever dealt with. Support is terrible, money issues are constant, and it’s been an absolute waste of time trying to fix things. I should have listened to my friends — never again. Avoid Deezer if you value your time and sanity.
Shockingly poor customer service.
Did not know I was subscribed to the service. Noticed the charge on my bank statement for a full years service. Contacted them to cancel and get a refund. They refuse to issue any refund of any kind, claiming I need to give them 48 hours notice before the subscription renewal. I could understand if this was for a month, but to charge a full year and be completely unrelenting is disgusting. Their customer service is appalling.
Further to this, their customer service is useless. Every issue needs to be "escalated" and responses take hours / days.
*Update*
After an exhausting back and forth with their "customer service" I can confirm that they offer no support whatsoever. Simply polite emails telling you that they are not going to help you in any way. Throughout their continued refusal to help me, they offered no compromise in any way, shape, or form. It's actually funny, the "least" they could have done is say "well you can still use the service for the full subscription period" but. They didn't even say that. Simply varying forms of "no, you're wrong, we won't help".
*Update 2*
Raised a dispute with my payment provider. My case was settled in my favour. Money is returned.
So in conclusion if you like being told to get lost in business speak, this is the place for you. If you want actual customer service. Try literally ANY other provider.
I am actually writing this review from…
I am actually writing this review from an artist's perspective. I recently worked with Deezer in claiming my artist's profile, and they promptly responded in 2 days, and I was able to complete my profile smoothly.
Really like the website design and branding, high-quality audio playback too.
Genuinely Ageist Policies.
I was denied a student plan just because I'm older than 25.
Sleazy Deezer
Truly awful company. they scammed me out of an annual subscription which didn't actually register on Google Play citing their 48 hour cancellation window which they don't tell you about when they send you a confirmation email. It was clear that I had not intended to take the subscription out and because of a gliche in their interface I actually pressed the cancel button and thought it was cancelled. Any reputable company would simply refund on the basis of a genuine error but not sleazy Deezer. I changed my mind in part after the trial period because both their iuser interface and algorithm are very poor - Spotify is vastle superior.and actually worth the slightly higher cost. On the basis of my experience I would avoid them - bunch of cowboys
I signed up for a one-month trial…
I signed up for a one-month trial subscription, but now I can’t log in to cancel it. I’ve tried from four different devices with no success. There seems to be no accessible customer service — either they’re impossible to reach or they simply don’t respond. It’s been a nightmare! I eventually had to contact my payment provider to block the recurring charges after three charges. I hope this will help. Avoid this service at all costs.
I gave it a try for that one free…
I gave it a try for that one free month, but to pay 18,99$ a month not worth it in my opinion.
Still not the worst service. Everyone should decide for themselves
Disappointing and faulty service
When I first got Deezer in 2018, it used to be a good service but now and for the past 5 years, the songs don't download or even load properly because the software needs to load!? Good songs get deleted aswell, the song menu defaults me back to the top of the song list every time I use it which drives me mad. The first selected song randomly stops playing after 5 seconds too, the app needs more bug fixes and technical improvements to make it user-friendly, I'm disappointed and will probably move to Spotify one day.
An app I forgot still existed but could be a lot better if it fixed its interface
I only got Deezer as a backup because Spotify was having some serious bugs, so I thought I’d give it a shot since I need music every day. It’s not great by any means and using the phone app is almost impossible, but they do have some tracks that you can’t find anywhere else.
Like Spotify, they’re based in Europe, which usually helps with copyright issues and tends to have less strict rules. However, sometimes music is available and then disappears, which I assume is just America being greedy. They have collector's music, not just mainstream stuff, and it’s a shame that this happens on all music apps.
The selection is solid and the sound quality is decent, though it doesn’t compare to Spotify. My biggest complaint is the design. It’s this intense white that won’t switch to black, which is a huge issue because the font is tiny. When you put those two together, it’s frustrating to the point where you wonder why you even bother. I don’t use it anymore, but I wish they would fix the interface to make it more readable and user-friendly.
The navigation feels like it’s stuck in 2010! Honestly, it’s worse than Paramount Plus and Prime, and that’s saying a lot since those platforms feel outdated too. I was really disappointed after trying it for over a month and a half, so I went back to my regular Spotify. It’s just easier to use and read without feeling like I want to throw my phone.
If they could update the app like Spotify did, or at least make it look like it’s from 2017 or even 2020, and fix that awful font while adding a dark mode, it would solve a lot of problems.
The great music they have that disappears after a week is probably a US issue because, let’s be real, America often doesn’t allow real music, especially oldies or good alternative and punk. If it’s not that, then these apps are just messing around too much.
Regardless, Deezer has a good selection and a lot of songs that are hard to find. As a collector and music buff, that’s really important.
While some tracks vanish quickly or are grayed out, I think it’s mostly copyright or regional issues, but probably more of the latter.
They really need to fix the interface, navigation, and font. Do that and it will help solve a lot of issues. It’s very outdated and impossible to maneuver. Having less options to clear cache as well as security when using the app unlike its peers isn’t a great look or feeling either. I like the app, it just needs some big tweaks to fix the headaches.
False “AI-generated” tags Damaging Artists – and offers listeners nothing but confusion
As a label, we've encountered a serious issue with Deezer: three singles that belong to one of our artists were falsely tagged as “may have been created using AI.”
The wording alone is misleading — it provides no transparency, only doubt — and it harms the reputation of an artist.
We contacted Deezer support multiple times, only to receive copy-paste answers. They told us to ask our distributors to escalate. They in return stated it is “Deezer policy” and that they cannot escalate. Both sides are now disclaiming responsibility, leaving us with false and damaging information on Deezer’s platform.
Deezer claims to promote transparency, but this case shows the opposite: misleading labels, no accountability, and no effective process for correction. While royalties may not be affected, artist image and trust absolutely are.
And what about the listeners?
instead of simply hitting play and listening to music, a listener needs to doubt what they listening to and get exposed to "behind the scene" unnecessary conflicts.
Bottom line:
If it's good music - it's good music, no matter if it is piano , cello or computer made. we already had this discussion in the 80s...
Bad music recommendation algorithm
I have a real issue with Deezer music recommandation algorithm, it is just very bad and far worst compared to Spotify or Apple Music ones
Love it
Love it. Being less a mainstream app, you get clean, pure music. No fuzz, no pub. maybe they should add more lyrics, however a service to prefer to other ms ones.
