Booked up a flu jab with this pharmacy, took time off work to attend. Turned up for my jab and 1 minute before my appointment they sent me a text to cancel the appointment. When I asked at the recepti... See more

Parkstone road, Hastings
Parkstone Road Pharmacy, Hastings
I've been a customer of Parkstone Road Pharmacy for over two decades, but recent experiences have left me feeling increasingly dissatisfied.
While I appreciate the convenience of not having to close for lunch, it's frustrating that the pharmacist is often unavailable during this time. This can lead to unnecessary delays, especially for urgent prescriptions.
Additionally, I recently requested a text notification when my prescription would be ready. The response was curt and dismissive, indicating that I would have to return in person. This lack of customer service is concerning.
It would be helpful if the pharmacy clearly communicated its operating hours and the availability of specific services. This would prevent misunderstandings and ensure that customers can plan their visits accordingly.
There are on-line services for important deliveries, I will reserve Day Lewis the over counter items that I forgot get at the super market.
Regards,
Stephen
This is for the Coleford branch
This is for the Coleford, Glos, Pyatt Court branch - I ordered my monthly prescription through the NHS weblink without any problems. My Surgery usually sends the prescrition to Day Lewis the next day, which is what they did. Day Lewis usually let me know by text message when to pick up the meds from their hole-in-the-wall dispenser. This time nothing happened for approx a week, so I went in to enquire about the prescription. It would appear their system either forgot to send a text or the staff forgot about it. They tried to tell me the text must have gone into my spam folder! An MMS message to a mobile phone doesn't have a spam folder unless the sender's number has been blocked. They then said it must have been picked up by someone in my family as they did not have it in their trays or dispenser, basically inferring I was lying when I told them I had heard nothing from them since ordering the meds. They then said they only had half the prescription in stock, but ended up giving me the full number of tablets. This is not the first time this local pharmacy has made mistakes, but the least they can do is apologise, and find out what happened so they can improve their service.
Excellent improvements
I get my repeat prescriptions from Day Lewis Newbury I felt I had to say that they have recently turned it round from going downhill the service for the past few months have been excellent I have received update notifications on the status of my medication I am also updated on free checks & jabs that available I have had spinal surgery recently and I have had to call them and they been extremely helpful to me !Keep up the good work !
Camborne branch
Re: Camborne branch. Potentially life saving prescriptions routinely not delivered, and no-one answers the phone EVER.
We are all so quick to bash companies…
We are all so quick to bash companies for bad service ( human nature I guess ) but not very many people actually say anything when the service has been good.
I have been using the Day Lewis pharmacy in Twyford, Berkshire for about a decade now, impeccable service, staff are friendly, the Pharmacist ( boss) is exceptional, regularly goes out of his way to help in whatever way he can. I cannot fault them - getting hit by shoplifters, police don’t even turn up, staff being threatened and at times it’s super busy in the shop - but always excellent service. Credit where credit is due. 10/10
Day Lewis Pharmacy Mill Hill
Day Lewis Pharmacy Mill Hill, every time I go the young pharmacy assistants are so rude, off-hand and with no manners
At around 5 pm on Wednesday 14th August…
At around 5 pm on Wednesday 14th August I entered the Sedbury branch to seek some medical advice as there is a huge poster suggesting to visit a pharmacy before seeing a GP displayed on their window and asked to see the pharmacist and when the pharmacist arrived, I asked to be seen in the consultation room as I did not want to discuss my problem publicly which the pharmacist blatantly refused resulting in me, walking out of the pharmacy. I do not think the pharmacist deserves her licence to practice as she showed no interest in helping a patient hence I am no longer considering Day Lewis. Pharmacy but a grocery store.
Received excellent and prompt service…
Received excellent and prompt service at Barnard Castle, would definitely recommend
Absolutely disgusting that they don’t…
Absolutely disgusting that they don’t book a pharmacist for Gobowen (Oswestry) slow always gossiping and can hear everything.. shame for the people that do turn up to work as it’s gone down hill fast
Failed to put my repeat prescription…
Failed to put my repeat prescription through. Always understaffed. Never answer the phone. Often medicines not in stock.
DO NOT USE THIPLACE
Umm not sure where I should begin !!! Went to get mine and my partners medication that had been placed on to the cloud since 8th July at 15:00 [Confirmed by My Doctor]
Went in to Day Lewis Pharmacy and spoke to a lady I have not seen their before, Passed her my phone with my partners Name, D.O.B and NHS number [By the way font size 24 in Samsung Notes so big enough that someone elderly or with bad eye sight can see without glasses on]
The lady said their is nothing on the system or the cloud, I was then told to call my doctor as they may of approved it but not sent it out basically implying that my doctor and doctor surgery is incompetent.
So I called my doctors and spoke to a lovely lady in the out of hours department and she said I dont have full acces but I will check what I can for you. She asked for the D.O.B and name and said yes its on the cloud and was approved on the 8th July at 15:00 I then called Tesco in Guildford and spoke to the pharmacist that I want to mention took only rings to answer so already a winner with that.
He said I can see this and would you like me to have it ready for today as told him these tablets are urgently needed.
He said of course I can but we close at 8pm so could you get here by then He also said its been on the cloud since the 08/07/24 same as the out of hours lady said. he said if you start driving here now Ill do my best to have it ready before you arrive for you,
I then asked for my medication and she said yes I can see your prescriptions and I'll get these ready for you.
I did not think to check the items before leaving but they only gave me 2 out of 6 items the doctor sent over to them.
What a JOKE of a Pharmacy and staff that don't know what they are doing,
While the first lady was sorting out my
Prescription a different lady came over and I asked if she can check for my partners tablet and her reply was it wont be there as my colleague has already checked even though I said the doctors have just confirmed it has been sent and to be honest the way she spoke to me and her body language was disgraceful.
Just shows how rude staff are and the fact they was telling me lies when 2 other people have said it is their.
This happened on 11/07/24 at 18:36 I will 110% never return to this place again.
I work in a customer facing role and have also been a security office so know this is an unexpectable way to treat members of the public!
I do not like being spoken to like this and never once spoke to anyone including shoplifters this way.
They clearly need to train all their staff some customer service skills,
Please don't use this Pharmacy as they will only lie and not provided you with all your medication and blame your doctors
Day Lewis Pharmacy Camberley
Day Lewis Pharmacy Camberley - said my medication was not on the cloud Dr's confirmed this has been called tesco pharmacy and they could see it and said its been on the cloud since 08/07/24, this is needed medication and refused to help so Off I went to tesco who gave it to me straight away no issues do not use Day Lewis Pharmacy Camberley as they are rude and unhelpful can't work there computers of put in the correct information I provide as gave tesco the same info
Totally unreliable
Totally unreliable. Used the app to reorder prescription and still waiting 2 weeks later for any sign. Usually I would call a few days after ordering and then they would decide to order the prescription for the next day. So I thought I would test the system and it totally doesn’t work. I called today and was told it might be in shortly. I suspect they ordered just after the call
Day - Lewis jokers
I have the same pain relief all the time and due to the doctors being a bit slow in signing it off, ( recently moved to Cornwall, so things slowly coming across from London). Went to the newly ex- boots( who were amazing btw) and due to the doctor putting the brand name rather than the name of the pain killer, the chemist ( CHI in Commercial st TR14) has refused to give me them as they have run out, even though I said it was fine ( no pain relief for nearly 4 days) she made me sit there as she carried on walking around, though she said she was going to call the day Lewis down the road to make sure they had them but didn’t. I sat there for nearly 20 mins.Stick with boots or a chemist that hasn’t been taken over by this shame of a company !!
My local pharmacy had previously had…
My local pharmacy had previously had issues, new staff things got much better lady with tattoo's was brilliant, she has now gone and you get nothing but rudeness, hate to think what would happen if I needed my prescription straight away, told no text medication not ready or waiting for stock, customer service skills are 0/10
very abusive staff member name of…
very abusive staff member name of charlotte in lawn avenue pharmacy great yarmouth was rude to me down the phone in morning also very rude when i went to collect my medication
Disgusting way to run a company
I have my prescription delivered and despite having ordered my medication 3 weeks previously I still had not received it. I tried ringing multiple times but was told to ring back later,(a recorded message). I was out of 3 meds and would be out of 3 more by Sunday. I had to go into the chemist today (Friday) and they then made my prescription up. When I would have received my order if I had not picked it up, heaven only knows.
They always blame being short staffed but I never see them advertising for staff.
Disgusting way to run a company.
Just got a text spam from them
Just got a text spam from them. Uggghh I hate that…
Used local Day Lewis in Wood Street
Used local Day Lewis in Wood Street, Walthamstow for 8 years. Recent change of management and has disintegrated- poor service, withdrawal of services without any notice, rude, surly, obstructive. Shelves are getting bare, they have "difficulties" getting medicines. Every sign that this company is going bust
