Booked up a flu jab with this pharmacy, took time off work to attend. Turned up for my jab and 1 minute before my appointment they sent me a text to cancel the appointment. When I asked at the recepti... See more

Excellent and friendly service
I'm sorry to see these poor reviews as I had an excellent and very friendly experience getting vaccinations for a holiday
From the moment I walked in
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to help. The staff took the time to listen to my concerns regarding my prescription and provided detailed information about my medication. Their knowledge was evident, and they answered all my questions thoroughly. It's refreshing to find a pharmacy where the staff is not just doing their job but genuinely cares about the well-being of their customers. I left feeling informed and valued.
Unorganised chaos at Liskeard
I signed up for the 24/7 collection service at Liskeard branch. waited nearly 3 weeks but heard nothing. Checked with surgery who said they sent medication to the pharmacy 2 weeks ago. When I asked Day Lewis the reason for delay they told me they didn't have my mobile number but I provided my mobile and email address when I signed up for the service. Queue from the counter to the shop door, 6 people working in the store but only 1 helping customers. Overall impression is unorganised chaos.
The manager of this branch was…friendly, efficient and very helpful,
The manager of this branch was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I got my anti-seizure medication. He was calm and reassuring knowing that it was crucial that I had to have the anti-seizure drug. He even kept the store open until it was resolved. It was supposed to close at 2.30 but it was nearly 3pm by the time I left.
I didn’t get his name, but I’m hoping knowing the time & date, you’ll see who it was and pass on my huge thanks and appreciation for his help and kindness.

Awful customer service
Went to collect an urgent prescription 4 hours after doctor sent it. Told no prescription received. Went back to doctors who gave me print out showing it had been sent. Pharmacist claimed it had been sent to another pharmacy until I showed him the print out then tried to claim the surgery had falsified the records. Avoid this awful company
Hopelessly poor customer service
When I went to collect my disabled mums medication they had forgotten a prescription. When going back they claimed that the doctors had stopped that medication, they suggested to go home and double check if it was that medication that was missing. Going back once again they were adamant that this was stopped.
I went to the surgery to see if this was the case. Not only did they say they sent that medication to the pharmacy they even showed evidence to prove this.
I called the pharmacy up to see what was going on only to be told “call back later” and then put the phone down.
I went to the pharmacy and there was no apologies just here is the medication.
The pharmacy I went to is CLAPTON BRANCH.
This is not the only incident with these bunch. This is the straw that broke the camels back!
I will be looking for another pharmacy.
Worst Pharmacy to deal with
Not the first time and wont be the last .I have been waiting 23 days and i am still waiting for my meds to arrive even after being told yet again they did not realize I have my meds delivered. Really. After using this same service for over 10yrs .The only reason you got 1 star is because you eventually answered your phone and there was not a minus star option .So if you are reading this and you rely on your meds being delivered i suggest you find a more reputable company .Not Day Lewis .
AVOID CROOKES PHARMACY!!!! Absolutely incompetent and so…
Absolutely incompetent and so unhelpful. Don’t know how they’re still allowed to operate when they have such a huge responsibility to the public. Sickening! Excuse the pun.
Absolutely awful company
Absolutely awful company. And because they own all of the pharmacy’s in my town there’s no escaping them. They routinely miss items off things on my prescription. The wait to even get your prescription is minimum 45 minutes if you’re lucky. Today they missed out the whole months painkillers and half of my anti inflammatory meds and didn’t bother to even tell me I had to find out they didn’t have it by ringing up when I got home and realized. After already going there twice today to get it. And because they gave me some of it I can’t even take my script elsewhere to get it so now just have to not have any for the weekend.
Exceptional service in Didcot
Went to get my flu vaccine and (I sadly forgot her name!) the pharmacist was very knowledgeable and explained all the information in a simple but professional way. She also offered to do the blood pressure check. I was so pleased that I took my husband and kids for getting their jabs.
Very good service
Day Lewis, Hereford, Grandstand Road
Day Lewis, Grandstand Road, Hereford.
They have gone downhill fast in just a couple of months. It seems that they are incapable of answering the phone or their email, especially on a Friday. Twice in the last month, they have left me without prescription drugs for heart and diabetic problem over the weekend when they are closed. To be clear, I ordered the medicines a week in advance, saw that my Dr had approved the order and then nothing. It also seems as if they are not able to have a qualified Pharmacist working on a Friday and they therefore cannot dispense medicines. The place is a shambles.
Faversham Branch
Consistently poor service over several months, long wait times, being told meds are ready when they aren't, phone not answered, wrong dose of medication recently issued. On several occasions have overheard similar customer experiences in the queue. Extremely negligent so have now requested to change pharmacy.
Excellent Care and Service at Day Lewis…
Excellent Care and Service at Day Lewis Pharmacy, Gipsy Hill
I recently visited Day Lewis Pharmacy in Gipsy Hill for a blood pressure check after an unexpected discovery of high blood pressure during an A&E visit. Doena conducted the check with professionalism and care, and when she noticed a high reading, she immediately arranged for me to use the APBM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring) device the following day—a service that usually has a much longer wait time.
She provided clear and thorough instructions on how to use the device, and her attention to detail throughout the process was impressive. Doena then carefully reviewed the APBM readings with pharmacist and advised me to take them to my GP for further action. I appreciated her expertise and promptness in handling the situation.
The overall experience was smooth and reassuring, and I was genuinely impressed by their commitment to patient care. I will definitely continue to use their services and highly recommend Day Lewis Pharmacy at Gipsy Hill to anyone in need of exceptional healthcare support.
Avoid the Newent Branch
I am not an expert in the efficient running of a pharmacy…and neither is the manager of this branch.
The refit has not helped customer throughput.
Five people behind the counter but only one serving customers. Why they have two tills I don’t know.
The queue was to the door. Nine people in front of me when I arrived. Five of them were told to go away and come back later…as was I.
There seems to be no evidence of any customer service ethos.
People are ill, they get a prescription and would like their medicine dispensed quickly. Which part of “come back in two and a quarter hours” do Day Lewis in Newent think is acceptable service?
Appalling
Narrowcliff Pharmacy Newquay
Narrowcliff Pharmacy Newquay. I have waited a total of three hours from a number of visits in the last fortnight chasing up a prescription I ordered a month ago. Totally unacceptable. It’s gone from bad to worse. Always a queue and always problems. The surgery next door are excellent and prescriptions get signed off quickly. I’ve heard bad reports regarding the two other Day Lewis Pharmacies in Newquay too. Very worrying for residents. I for one will be taking my business elsewhere. There are two ladies working in the pharmacy who used work there when it was privately run. They work very hard in the face of a company that can’t get its act together.
What a fantastic team we have working…
What a fantastic team we have working in our local village - a real asset to Day Lewis Pharmacy.
It really is a service the village and surrounding area benefits from, with friendly and helpful staff.
Well done Angela and the team - we’d be lost without you.
Very impressed by the Pharmacist
I wish to express my sincere thanks to Fatima, the Pharmacist at Day Lewis Newbury.
She was very concerned about the use of the medication l'd been recommended by my GP. She even followed me into the car park advising me again precisely how to use the medication with extreme caution. I was very impressed by her actions and thoughtfulness.
Thank you.
Not fit for purpose
Not fit for purpose, order prescription on the app and you never get it untill you contact them to chase it up.
They never answer the phone, I have to drive up to Chester Road in Newquay to contact them.
This is not a one-off it is every month even when I order 2 weeks before my prescription runs out
Automated prescription pick-up at…
Automated prescription pick-up at Lilliput pharmacy, Brilliant…….
Don’t believe the 111 website
My regular repeat prescription had not been notified ready by text and I was down to last tablet. As I was a considerable way from my regular pharmacy I went onto 111 online to get an emergency supply. I went to a Day Lewis local pharmacy as suggested by 111 and the staff were rude and basically refused to help me. This was my first ever experience of Day Lewis and I can see why they get so many low ratings.
