Avoid

I ordered and paid almost £450 for made to measure curtains on 5th May. I have used Blinds2go many times in the past and have always been happy with their products so expected the same with their curtains. The issue is their delivery service. The first parcel was left on my doorstep on a main road when no one was home. There was nothing there when I returned home from work, the parcel had gone. The company very quickly arranged a replacement order and I stressed the importance of letting me know up to date delivery information to avoid the same issue. I work very long hours, 6am until 9pm, so it is vital that I had prior knowledge of when the delivery was due. Unfortunately this did not happen, I was away staying with family and, when I finally checked my emails, had received notification that my parcel had been ‘delivered’. Once again this was a £450 delivery left on the doorstep of an empty house. When I arrived home almost two days later, the parcel was at least still there but was absolutely sodden wet as it had been left out in the elements. The curtains were damp and I demanded they collected them and refunded my money. I have had to push and push for this to happen. They were extremely reluctant to accept this as damage, I was expected to keep the curtains and prove they were damaged before they would consider a refund. It is only when I pushed back once again and said I would raise a chargeback with my credit card company that they relented and the curtains were collected over a week ago. Surprise, surprise I am still awaiting my refund and they are now stating they have not received the parcel back as yet.

£450 down
No curtains
Constantly having to chase

Shocking customer service.

UPDATE…they have ‘found’ my return and have issued a refund. Not yet in my bank but we’re almost there.

Expectation Exceeded

This is the fourth pair of curtains I have bought from this company. All were simple to order and beautifully made.
It is a rarity nowadays when a product consistently
exceeds expectation, as do all the curtains I have bought from this source.

DONT USE CURTAINS2Go

Ive used Blinds2Go for years and happily too. I thought I'd use Curtains2Go. What could be easier? Measure the Track, Done. Measure the drop, Done. Simples right?
I contacted Curtains2Go to ask if they offer Pelmets and Tiebacks, Id seen on their website that they did. And yes they do! How much material do you need??

I placed my order for the curtains, to include black out lining and then went on to order the pelmets. Oh, but they dont actually make the Pelmets themselves, they are sorry for misleading me. I will need to find someone to make them myself.... okay, that's annoying because I thought this was a full service. I worked out I needed 5m of fabric to make up the two pelmets and 4 tie backs and went to place my order...Oh, but you can't have more than 3m? Sorry? Can I place two orders then? 1 for 2m and 1 for 3m? No you cant do that either, its only 3m of fabric per customer... I complained - pointless having a service offering something but with bank widths strangulating the amount of material available per customer when the customer needs 5m to complete a job? What's the point of that?

Then I received a quote to order a 5m blind. I don't want a 5m blind. Oh, this is how you buy the material... we call it a blind when actually it's the length of material. So, ordered my 5m blind and a roll of material duly arrived.
A couple of weeks later the curtains arrived, I was SO excited.

The curtain hooks are strange, they dont fit my track very well, the hooks provided are plastic hooks that are adjustable. Not once you've moved them, you're stuck with that setting. The moment of truth arrives with the curtains hung up, I pulled the cord and they dont meet in the middle. At all. Neither of them do. The blackout lining is short in terms of width and length so light streams into the room... I called immediately and spoke to their chap on the line.

He was going to escalate me to their production team to see what could be done. I advised that I didn't want a panel adding, and if that was the only offer they would make, Id like to return these for a refund. I had lost all confidence at this point.

After days and weeks of back an forth, I have 50% off another set of curtains (which I really am not going to order) and Im still stuck with 2 sets of curtains boxed and ready to go to their next destination. A roll of material I no longer have a use for and Im out of pocket by £600! Custains2Go have said that I have mismeasured and wiped their hands of me. The end.

Please think very carefully before you go with this company. Im telling as many people as I can to avoid and spread the word as fast as possible.

Lovely nets. Will be buying more soon. The curtains are ideal for my bedroom keeping the room cool and blocking the early morning light coming through. Well pleased with both products and service 👍

I have previously ordered curtains from curtains to go a number of times over the past few months and spent a lot of money
I have been happy with the curtains . I have just placed another order Monday late at night & unfortunately ordered the wrong colour from the samples I had received, I called to see if it was possible to change the colour as it had only been a few hrs since I ordered . Firstly the customer support individual that I spoke to basically told me that they were more than likely in production now , which I found very hard to believe. She explained that she would contact them and let me know but it could take up to 48 hrs to respond. I emailed again this morning to be told that my order was already in the process of being made . I am totally shocked as I do not believe that nothing could have been done to change my choice of colour earlier . I will not be using Curtains to go in the future as planned once I receive my order

Curtains Not Lined

Ordered curtains with thermal lining. When they arrived they didn't appear to have a lining - queried with customer services, then sent some photos. They thought they might be lined but couldn't be sure. We were requested to send more photos and asked them to query it with the manufacturer but it would take 2 days. 2 days later no response so we chase it and it turns out they hadn't sent the photos. Customers services v poor. Curtains are nice but if these are lined then the lining is incredibly thin and poor quality - or we've paid for lining that isn't there

Not what I expected at all....

I ordered a set of pretty large full length curtains for my spare room. My usual go to for curtains is John Lewis, but I thought I'd give another company a try. I read and re-read lots of reviews and decided in the end to just go for it. I ordered on the 3rd May 2024 and they arrived yesterday. So efficient and just in time for my first guest's arrival in a few days time. I have to say that the curtains are beautifully made and the fabric a really lovely quality, feels a little like linen. I ordered the double pinch pleat curtains with a thermal interlining, expecting this to be just a thicker cotton lining. It isn't. It's far more substantial and therefore makes the curtains look fuller and more expensive than they actually were. My only mistake is I ordered Tiger Stripe Dove Grey. Actually the stripe is more green than grey and I think this should be highlighted on their website. The sample looks grey, the curtains look green. Put the sample next to the curtains and they both look the same. I do feel that the fabric samples are pretty small so it's quite difficult to see the actual color. When the curtains arrived, the amount of fabric shows as more green than grey. I'm hoping I get used to them as I really love the look but not 100% loving the color. On a separate note, I have to say that hanging and lining up the pleats was made so much easier with the vertical striped fabric - I just followed the line of the pattern from the top to the bottom - so simple. They're now up at my window, tied with ribbon for a few days until the newly formed pleats take hold. I would without doubt recommend this company.... Now on to the next room. :)

What you see on their website is not…

What you see on their website is not what you get! Our curtains were unfinished, the hems were not pressed and there were no weights in the hem. Those lovely pleats don't run to the bottom of the curtain. By the time you look there it looks more like a washing line with flyaway ends that look ridiculous. The lining material does not appear to be a proper fabric but more like kapok which would never survive a clean without balling up into great clumps of fibres. The hem of the lining is so rigid that it simply doesn't comply to the pleats at the heading so it is clear that the lining material is unsuitable for the light fabric of the curtains. We were offered no help to resolve these issues other than to wrap the curtains in cling film until they adopt the pleats. After 6 months we are confident this will never happen. We bought 3 pairs of curtains. We have two hanging that remind us of our mistake in purchasing from Curtains 2go. The third and largest pair are still in the unopened box! Remember when you go on their website. What you see is not what you get - be warned!

We got there in the end.

Update to previous review. They contacted us today and we have been given a more than satisfactory solution to the lining problem. Hence 5* now.

Beware: I ordered curtains with a light filtering lining as against blackout, which we didnt need or thermal which we didnt need. Stupidly I went for light filtering as assumed that lining would be half way between blackout and no lining.
Oh no it's not. The lining only filters light by approx 10% so we now have light constantly in our room.

I called Curtains2Go who said I could have 25% off a new set with blackout lining!!! A mere £400+.

Don't order faux silk curtains if your window size is 90 inches wide or you'll have a join. When pulled at night this is very visible. My wife and I are so disappointed. Never order from them again. Not mentioned on website when order was placed. Gutted. Just wanted to share this so no one else will have the same problem. Please be aware. Not even a discount offered on the order which was nearly a thousand pounds. Only discount on future orders. I won't be using this website again.

To narrow for a nice gather

Quite disappointed.

Measured as per the instructions. Material matches samples. Appear to be decently made/stitched. Length as expected.

However - 2 issues, first emailed about a delay, day after email dispatched, the another email damaged in transit, then another email delivery will be re-arranged. Tracking still said delivery to be re-arranged. Curtains in a very battered box turned up today and just happened to catch us in as we wasn’t expecting them.

Main issue - the width added for a gather is not enough! My old curtains, also made to measure but from curtains 247 are twice as long ungathered.

This width may be fine for a pole, but not for taped. They don’t gather nicely at all, but cost me too much money to replace straight away. If you do order, I suggest you add half your window size on again in width if you are choosing tape top.

Perfect curtains

Before purchasing the curtains I ordered several FREE samples, which were extremely useful. The samples arrived promptly and were big enough for me to make a choice.
Once I picked a fabric, I made 3 or 4 phone calls asking for advice with measurements, lining, fixings and pattern matching. I was given excellent responses and was reassured that it would be fine.
The curtains arrived today, 2 weeks after ordering, and they are amazing. I am so pleased with the quality and instructions. The price was reasonable, especially for William Morris fabric.
In the past we have ordered blinds and have been equally as pleased.

Poor quality, delays with delivery and not manufactured in UK.

The curtains arrived much later than initially indicated causing a lot of inconvenience. When they did arrive the quality was poor given the price. The curtains were much lighter than expected, were very narrow (despite following the measuring guide) and a small (30cm) strip had been added to the width which had not been well pattern matched. When tracking them, I found out that they were manufactured overseas. I don't think I would have gone ahead with the order had I known this at point of purchase.
