I bought a Cube E-bike in May 2025 from Tredz.co.uk through cycle2work scheme. The bike costed £2,449. In March 2026 (Less than a year and only after 193 miles) I found the chain snapped, got a... See more

2000 miles in after 9 months in my cube compact, great bike!!
Great customer service
I have a 6 year old Cube tourer, & needed information on a part. Because of the age of my bike I wasn’t sure customer service would respond, but I had a reply within 24hrs. Fantastic!! Thanks to this I will be able to continue to ride my bike, on which I’ve now ridden more than 10,000 miles, & when the time comes to replacing it, I’ll be buying another Cube.

Cube Acid Trunk Pro 14 quality questionable
I bought this bag because it uses the RILINK system to secure it to the compatible carrier. It’s a good design with a dry bag style top but am disappointed with the quality. There are a plethora of Chinese offerings available for a fraction of the price which I dismissed but it wouldn’t surprise me if this was sourced from China.

Quality parts?
I bought on Oct 27, 2023 a Cube Touring Hybrid ONE 500 grå.
The chain was broken after 580km. A never had a broken chain in my life. That's a new experience. Otherwise no complaints so far.

faulty cube wheel and 5 broken ribs
I bough a small frame cube stereo hybrid 140 pro. but the frame design is very different from the medium. on my first ride in the forest i took it down a mild incline with a small jump at the bottom.... have done this with many bikes and ebikes and its never been a problem. until i did it with a cube!!! on landing the impact buckled the front wheel and i ended up in Hospital for a week with 5 broken ribs and a punctured lung! I took the wheel back to the bike shop I bought the bike... he told me the spokes were loose! and should have been safety checked at cube before it was sent.... cube in turn blamed the dealer and said it was his responsibilty. and tried to blame me for jumping with the bike!!!! so the wheel was sent back to cube central and they admitted it was faulty because they are sending a new wheel.... but no appology NOTHING in fact still no wheel. very upset with cube and dont know if i would ever trust their bikes now.
Please do not buy e bikes from cube…
Please do not buy e bikes from cube warranty is a joke. Mid motor eating into the frame they basically said it was our fault even tho it’s never been touched. Dealer was utter useless and even told us good luck Never buy cube bikes again. No help and dismissed £6000 now bike frame is scrap. I hope you wake up and see the problems. Never have I ever been so angry. 😡
Cube battery thefts
I had a cube kathmandu ebike and it had many design flaws. Most serious was locking mechanism that held the £700+ battery was a joke and it was stolen. Finally complete bike was stolen. 2023 version replacement much better but still 2 batteries have been stolen. Thief can steal a battery quicker than I can unlock it.
Brand new bike rusted. CUBE care not!
We recently bought our Daughter a CUBE 160 from an official dealer. A couple of details looked a bit cheap considering how much we paid for a premium product. Within a week of ownership the bike got wet whilst on the back of our motorhome (something all our bikes do). We were shocked to see that the new Cube was rusted on all the black finishes! Proper, deep, red rust. None of the other bikes were rusted. We complained to Cube, and the answer was “don’t get it wet”. What a joke. The bike was made in Cambodia and it seems we just paid an awful lot of money for a bike no better than a £99 ebay cheapie. Not happy!
Design Failure then No Response -AVOID-
I bought their fender set because it was advertised as great fit for my Cube bike. They even recommend the specific fender in their part match spreadsheet. However, the front fender rubs whether following their mounting instructions, or with custom mounting that provides even more clearance. Company will not respond to emails.
Rear wheel axle issue Attain SLX / Axial Race
There is a big issue with cube branded rear wheels on 2023 edition of Attain SLX and Axial race models - axle is sliding in the hub. You just have to take malet and tap the axle from side to side. It moves 3 mm causing gears and disc going out of alignement. The wheel is not centered in the frame and you can't align the caliper because there is no room on the mount. Cube doesn't want to do anything serious about that problem (recal the wheels) because not enough shops have that issue. Maybe they do but they don't know what's going on and keep fixing them. Some of them have even stiff axles. So no recal on those from Cube i guess....
Cube bikes are awesome !!
I bought a cube nuroad pro after returning a previously bought canondale topstone 4! With the cube having better components than the topstone 4 it rides super smooth! I've put approximately 1000km on it with no issues at all. Love it!
Cube Carbon frameset are not that good!
Bought a carbon race bike, cube agree... the bike rides awsome but after 5 years the frame started to crack on multiple places. No guarantee from Cube (only 3 years) but also the frame could not be replaced... so.. time for a new bike... this time no cube, but from a manufacturer that has life time guarantee on the frame set! Ok, it is somewhat more expensive initially but will ensure the bike will last...
Poor quality bolts / poor customer service - avoid cube bikes
I had cube mudguards and rack professionally fitted in my local bike shop (cube dealer) to my cube SL, Several screws/bolts snapped off 3 times after a few miles of light use. Back and forth to my dealer who patiently tried to drill faulty bolts out which was successful on 2 occasions but not on the third occasion.
Cube is refusing to fix the problem as " too much time has passed" since the problem has occurred. I have been trying to contact them directly but there is no customer service line in the UK or Germany and I did not receive a reply to my email at all.
I had several cube bikes in the past. I will certainly not have another one.
My only option for now is to continue to keep taping the rack onto the frame and leave the broken bolt in place.

I Bought a Cube 500 Hybrid 2021,and it’s been a fantastic Ebike, Zero problems, and I’ve put 11,000 kms on it so far!
snapped frame
I bought a cube Stereo hpc 140 with the fox factory 36 forks for £3600 in September 2021. Enjoyed the bike for a while, and the build quality never was really an issue. Until two days ago when hitting a jump and overshooting, the frame snapped into two. This rattled me a bit as I was certainly not expecting my carbon bike to snap in two especially at the top tube rather than the rear triangle. Not only did this cause significant injury to my groin but I am unable to contact cube again to explain my terrible experience. If you want a bike that will not snap do not buy from cube it's a complete waste of money where you can get a better quality bike for the same price elsewhere that won't cause injury.

My new Cube Aim Race broke down after 1 year of use. Very bad quality! Don't buy a Cube bike!
4000€+ bike, no speedometer
Just bought a 4000 euros + cube ebike, there is no speed meter for the price and the user manual is garbitch ( contains infos for absolutly all cube models). What, it is a smart system bike, i need a phone, were is the easy access QR code, could be that simple.
Cheap chain
I bought a Cube Reaction Hybrid pro approximately 3 weeks ago. The bike is a nice bike, it does the job I bought it for, however I was maintaining the chain and noticed it was a KMC X11. This is not e bike specific, which was confirmed in email by cube. I do not think it is good enough that they put an £18 chain on a 3K bike, £30 will buy a decent chain. Come on Cube.
Negatively astonished by customer service and, maybe, quality
I have bought two Cubes in the last 6 months, a Reaction Hybrid 625, and a Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC Race Liquidred Large 750WH.
I used the first one for 6 months, and apart from the cap that covers the electric plug recharge, it had no other problems. I want to emphasize that I ride very normal routes, asphalt, dirt, without any type of extreme activity such as jumps or descents.
For the Stereo, after about 10 km the chain breaks, I take it to where I bought it (Gamba Cicli Varese di Cristiano Gamba in via Giovanni Macchi 82), and the technician says he needs to do a thorough analysis, also because he finds rust on the chain (4 days after purchase).
I recover it after one week, the technician claims that he had had to adjust some parts, the shifting was not correctly calibrated , and that he had had to shorten the transmission cable.
A discussion also started between the technician and the seller, because the seller forced him to repair the damaged chain, although the technician insisted on opening the incident to Cube and verifying the root cause of the damage.
After another 50 km, the chain breaks again, not even during a shift, but actually pedaling with ECO velocity on the engine.
At this point I advise the seller (considering that on the site they claims for "At Gambacicli you will find courtesy, availability and passion for cycling, you can also buy hundreds of items from the best brands") and the technician ( considering that "The Gambacicli workshop is a family passion that has been handed down from father to son, thanks to this decennial experience we are prepared and available for any type of processing, whether it is the complete assembly of a latest generation group") to intervene independently, replacing the chain, perhaps with a different model of higher quality. We are talking about a figure of 20-40 euros, compared to a purchase of around 6000 euros.
And here the dispute begins, where the seller claims that a chain can break (very true ... but twice in a row in just a hundred km?), where the technician claims he cannot speak to the seller as he is not at his level of knowledge.
The result is that a customer who bought two Cubes in total confidence, has now been without a bike for 1 month, has had to cancel two weekends after 10 minutes of going out due to breakage, and has to go back and forth to the technical workshop/dealer at least 6 times, if not more.
At this point I begin to have strong doubts both on the vaunted qualities of the Cube, in terms of materials or tests, and even greater ones on the professionalism of the dealer, and of the technician who works 2 meters behind him, but he cannot speak to him because not at his level.
I'm already in contact with Altro Consumo and specialized site to have some feedback.
