Traditional Column Radiator Replacement Project
From the initial survey by Tom and back and forth with the office, through to the installation by Lee and Harry, the entire team at CS Heating as been courteous, professional and efficient. The care and attention around the removal of the old radiators and installation of the new ones was outstanding.
I would highly recommend.

We commissioned the company to completely refit our cloakroom, ensuite shower room and bathroom. Our experience at all stages of the project -from design through implementation to final delivery - was top class. We are absolutely delighted with our new 'bathrooms'.
All staff were friendly, polite, attentive and, above all, professional. Worthy of special mention are Dave, who advised us on what could be done and helped turn our vision into reality, and our engineer Jon. Jon worked hard and with great skill and professionalism over an 8 week period to turn what were tired and outdated rooms into modern, eye-catching creations. He respected our home at all times and quickly became a member of the household.
We have no hesitation in highly recommending CS Heating & Plumbing.

Roland turned up at the agreed time, he very quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem and was very pleasant and chatty whilst he did it. He then checked the boiler operation out and also checked my CO sensors, my smoke detector and my LPG hoses which I wasn't aware need changing shortly. I would certainly recommend CS Heating and Plumbing. They are also easier to contact than many other heating engineers.

I've been using CS Heating and Plumbing for many years. They recently serviced my boiler and found a fault which required them to switch it off. Thankfully they fixed it the same day but I feel the repair cost (excluding parts) of £300 for 2 hours work represented an excessive hourly rate of £150 per hour (especially as it was not "out of hours" but during the normal working day).
C S Heating and Plumbing installed new bathroom taps at my property in December 2024. Within weeks, water began appearing on the bathroom floor. I reported this and was advised a leak detection visit would be arranged, with a warning that I would be charged if the taps were not the cause.
The same plumber attended, checked the taps very briefly, stated they were fine, and failed to find the cause of the water, and I was charged for the visit.
In January, the issue worsened and water appeared in the adjoining bedroom. When I contacted C S Heating and Plumbing again, I was advised over the phone (without inspection) that it could not be a plumbing issue based on previous notes and was encouraged to look for a structural cause instead.
When a firm attended to asses, the firm was not able to find an issue. I then advised about the taps, the operatives went to the bathroom, removed the panel, looked at the taps and stated that the both taps were leaking with one connection weeping and the other having a continual leak due to the reuse of the old fittings when installing the new taps. The damage caused was assessed, with extensive damage to the floor directly below the taps/bath, also with the water ingress through the flooring to the connecting rooms.
I contacted C S Heating and Plumbing again and an engineer, Michael, attended. He immediately identified the leaking taps, confirmed the reuse of old fittings was poor practice, apologised for the workmanship, and stated the installer should have used new fittings and properly checked them. He took photos of the damage and removed damaged bath panel sections, stating they would need replacing.
A call was made to Michael by the operations manager Paul within minutes of the visit to ascertain the cause and get first thoughts. Micheal kindly put this call on speaker so I could hear the full call, Micheal confirmed that the job had been done badly with the old fitting being used which had caused leaks on both taps. Micheal advised he would be putting this right and looking at the damage for a report. The open call and transparency was appreciated. Paul then made a request for follow-up by call once Micheal had left.
Michael took images of the cause and the damage. When talking through the whole situation about the leak inspection, and then further request for a follow-up visit a few weeks later Michael was clear that no leak advice should not have been made via call without seeing the situation and that this was bad advice and no plumber can assess a leak or cause with-out looking. Michael repeatedly apologised for the leak, the damage caused and spoke confidently about how this situation would be addressed and by the company/senior management who would not be happy that a customer has had this and will look to repair all damage caused. Michael was so confident about this, that he even took away parts of the bath panel stating we are going to have to replace all this. I will take this away with me and get it out of your way.
I raised a complaint with the company after sharing a report following the last visit. The report did not echo Michael's assessments or comments and C S Heating and Plumbing refused any liability. With advice from the CAB that I had a strong case under The Consumer Rights Act 2015. As reasonable care and skill must be used while working and this was not the case when the work was carried out and in the following visit to detect the leak and you have broken your contract with me. Having followed the CAB process to claim for the refund the cost of the fitting and leak visit but also for the damages. C S Heating and Plumbing did not provide any responses or even apologies. I was lucky that my insurance addressed the damage, when following up for a refund of the charges a year later and no reply or refund has been made. If this was not enough.
Just weeks ago driving in Canterbury a C S Heating and Plumbing van cut across when I had right of way and then the driver shouted swearing as they were clearly in a hurry!
Both a clear indication of what type of company this is! This situation has highlighted that C S Heating and Plumbing are also one of the only local companies are not registered with professional bodies such as Water Safe, The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) or Approved Plumbing and Heating Contractors (APHC)
I phoned cs on a recommendation and i was really pleased that i did.our boiler had stopped working and they were very prompt at fixing it. They then came out 2 weeks later to service the boiler change some pipework and fit a filter to the system. I was shown by the engineer exactly what he was going to do he was friendly polite and tidy. Will definitely be using cs from now on. Thank you

Your engineer David King arrived at 12.17pm and departed at 12.48pm (recorded on our Ring Doorbell) a total of 31 minutes spent in our property.
For this we were charged £171 including VAT. This works out at nearly £340 per hour. Whilst understanding the skills required to perform this service I really feel this is extortionate.
We have been loyal customers of CS for many years but feel these costs have escalated to an extent of being almost unaffordable. There is also the issue of terms. We have always paid promptly (within a day) but have never been offered any extension to the payment period, maybe 7 days?
I expected the engineer who had diagnosed the fault but it was a different man which didn’t make sense to me as Andy the original, knew where everything was. It would have been logical to have had him in my opinion.
I was surprised that hot water was not checked on in the shower and kitchen. I did this afterwards when I discovered 2 damp plastic sacks in the bathroom.
I expected to pay him as I had paid Andy However he said the company would send an invoice but it would have been done with, taken care of. I hope that all is good. My boiler is in the loft and I haven’t been up there.

Dave has been before and is always well mannered and informative. We discussed the merits of a new boiler due to its age and he explained how the various boilers operated.

This company was recommended to me by neighbours. Very prompt and quick call out for broken boiler. Michael very helpful, found the replacement part, collected and installed it. He also gave me a quick lesson on how to work the boiler as I’ve just moved in! I will certainly use them again and will take out their maintenance contract which seems very reasonably priced for the service offered. Excellent all round!

Andy visited us yesterday for early diagnostics and he arrived again today and fixed our long dysfunctional heating and hot water - which had been seen by two engineers from other companies previously - all without a fix.
Andy exuded the calm, knowledge, assuredness and experience you expect from a professional and fixed it! A credit to CS Heating & Plumbing Ltd.!
Obviously I wholeheartedly recommend.
