If I could do no stars I would

If I could do no stars I would. My daughter stopped for fish and chips at a car park after 6pm back in May. She did not realise but she incurred a fine. The first she knew of it was a letter that came while she was away from home in August! The company has a certificate to prove they posted a notice of a fine in July! Next she gets a letter demanding £140 with a threat of it rising to £170. She has no funds and had no discretionary treatment from Countrywide. I shall be lobbying for their contract with the council concerned to be withdrawn.

PCN in Weybridge - The whole thing is a trap

I am 75 years old and severely disabled, and I hold a Blue Badge. I also suffer from incontinence. I drove into what I believed to be a doctor’s surgery car park, as I had recently moved to the area and wanted to register with a local GP.

Unfortunately, I experienced a serious incontinence episode and had to rush to the toilet immediately. In that situation, I was simply not in a position to stop and carefully read multiple signs or understand that I was required to register my vehicle at a kiosk. This was my first visit to the site.

As my clothes had become wet, I had no option but to leave shortly afterwards and drive back home. I was on the site for only a very short period of time, yet I still received a parking charge notice.

I appealed to Countrywide Parking, explaining the circumstances in full, but my appeal was rejected. I then submitted an appeal to the Independent Appeals Service, hoping the situation would be assessed objectively and with some compassion given my age, disability, and medical condition. Instead, my appeal was also dismissed and the charge increased to £100.

This experience has left me with very little confidence in the so-called Independent Appeals Service. Based on my experience, it does not feel independent, fair, or willing to properly consider exceptional circumstances. I am extremely disappointed by the complete lack of understanding and compassion shown throughout this process.

Absolute license to print money

Absolute license to print money! Still liable when the businesses are all closed! Parked in Studley in front of Bumbles cafe it had only been in a week and I had absolutely no idea. Countrywide Parking couldn’t care less. Bumbles claimed it’s nothing to do with them it’s their landlord. Their landlord said it could only be done with their ok and they and ACS and Kayes Beauty asked for it because the parking was being used by people going to other establishments. So if you’re getting your hair done and it takes longer than 2 hrs they not the businesses give a ****.

Disgusting company combined with useless council

Disgusting company working as a "cowboy" enforcer for a grossly incompetent council. I was fined for parking in a Bournemouth car park, although I had paid for parking, and was able to offer a copy of the receipt. But it turns out that the local council had changed parking app provider, but not told anyone. Therefore my payment was considered unpaid. I tried to contact5 Countrywide; but they have no interest in discussing appeals. Why didn't the council ensure that the previous provider, a much better service than the new RingGo, had removed access to using their app in the town. This all sounds like a giant stich up between a painfully useless council and their parasitic enforcer. Steer clear of Bournemouth - this council seems determined to do all it can to destroy a once incredible place.

Recently got a ticket

Recently got a ticket. The reason for the ticket was because my potty training toddler needed a number 2 as we got to the car. Normally 15 mins is plenty of time to get in the car and leave, however anyone who's experienced potty training a toddler knows there are no rules. Once I got my toddler on the potty at the back of the car space, I paid for an extra hour. Unfortunately I was 6 measly minutes over my alloted time, and left the carpark less than 10 mins after paying for the hour. Apparently the appeals team have no human decency nor empathy as they have declined my appeal. Had this been a regular occurrence or indeed a long over stay I'd accept the fee, however in every instance my toddlers ongoing potty training was the priority.
Bad form countrywide, bad form.

Unscrupulous company

Unscrupulous company. No morals. Repeatedly sending unfounded threatening letters. Just want money from anyone they can get it. The management are clearly to blame and are distrusting individuals.

COUNTRYWIDE PARKING AVOID AT ALL COST!!

COUNTRYWIDE PARKING AVOID AT ALL COST!!

I went into this Ringo Car park with my daughter in law app didn’t work, phone call kept reverting to debit card number, we both tried to contact the company to no avail. We sent evidence of phone calls, I received an email yesterday to say it’s been investigated and there is nothing wrong with this car park!!!

On an extremely busy day in Bournemouth this car park was empty!! I can only assume that many people may have been clobbered by this awful company, they should be investigated and put out of business!!! Plus the fact I was only there ten minutes trying to park my car! They are a disgusting company!!! Rant over 😤😤😤

Absolutely disgraceful

Absolutely disgraceful, giving jobs to liars who give tickets when your permit is displayed, sent to an enforcement officer as appeal has been rejected. Why should I pay for it when my ticket was displayed.
£170 we just cant afford.

NEVER PARK WHERE THIS COMPANY OPERATES!!!

This company should NOT be allowed to operate at all let alone fine people when they have no right to!! Why are they being allowed to manage car parks. They have set up the car park at Tobacco Docks in a way where you end up getting a fine and they know what they're doing. They have Ringo pay and display set up inside the car park but they use their camera to set the time limit as you enter and leave which isn't transparent and is a misleading way of setting a time and payment sysetem. They should only have 1 type of system to adhere to not 2! If they want to set the start and end time in that way then they should have a ticket barrier system as you enter and leave not a Ringo pay and display inside the car park once you have parked and taken the time to find the machine and pay for the 2 hours of parking. They refused my appeal (of course as they're intentions are only to get more money). There should be a warning for drivers never to park in any Countrywide parking AT ALL. Where are our rights???? I have been driving for 35 years and have never come across this misleading and outright criminal way of taking money off people. They should be banned from operating anywhere. I will certainly never park there again or anywhere they operate!!!! I wouldn't give them any stars at all if that was possible.

If I could rate them -1, I would

If I could rate them -1, I would.

I was given a parking charge notice after parking on a street which reportedly had ‘plenty of signs’ that I required a permit. This was clearly not the case and evidenced in the photos that they took that the first sign was half way down the road and on the opposite side of the road!

The irony was that I avoided parking in the car park that they had clearly signposted you needed a permit to park there. Turns out they don’t actually patrol that car park and I could have parked there and not received a charge. So misleading.

The irony does not escape me that I received a parking fine because I tried to follow their rules!

When I appealed, they clearly had paid little attention to my claim as they referred to me parking in a car park when it had been in the street.

I tried to talk to someone but the company refuses to talk to anyone about their parking charge notice. This is disrespectful. I only wanted the chance to talk it through. They owed me that.

I have given up and paid as it isn’t worth the mental stress and energy anymore. It’s had an impact on my mental health as I honestly feel that they have stolen my money. I imagine my experience is common. Shame on you countrywideparking.

This company are unfair

This company are unfair. They deleted my registration from the allowed list for the car park. They then issued me with a fine. This is purely to squeeze money from me on a technicality. This is at my workplace they “ manage” the parking for the landowner. I can prove I was working at the time. I have also explained I am a low paid disabled worker. Do not go onto any car parking they manage they will find a way to squeeze you. Landowners do not use them,as you will end up getting grief from people they have cheated BTW at the time they charged me there was very little signage, so even worse

Rogue trader

As other reviews have pointed out, this company is a rogue trader. Always beware of a parking management company, like this one, that refuses to keep a whitelist of residents' cars that shouldn't be ticketed. This company is only interested in making money out of residents who have hired them. They also refuse to stick to the terms of their contract, ignoring a clause that the directors of our estate had the right to cancel a set amount of tickets per year should circumstances require. The owner of the company acts vexatiously against his clients: not a very intelligent man. There are reputable parking management companies out there, but this is certainly not one of them: avoid at all costs.

Shame I can't give minus stars to this…

Shame I can't give minus stars to this awful company... Never employ them... They were tasked with solving a problem where rubbish tenants gad up to 8 vans on our small land at one time... They didn't get a penny from them so stopped patrolling (in the mean time fined innocent people)... They stopped patrolling last October... Their contract was not renewed in January 2025..now they have started patrolling again and fining people... It's trespass..... No way of contacting anyone.... Crooks

Well there’s nothing good to say about…

Well there’s nothing good to say about the bloodsucking vampires , I have been parking in a space at my girlfriends flat for about 5 years , one day I see a parking man looking at my car ,I came outside to ask what the problem was , he said I have no permit , I said I have it’s in the car ,he wasent interested and told me I have £100 fine and walked away uninterested in anything I had to say , there was a sign on the wall that I’d never seen before I think it was put up that very day hence the parking man appearing ,surprise surprise very sneaky ,my permit is at least 10 years old very faded and no longer adheres to the screen , I appealed this saying I was totally in my rights to park there but I don’t think they even read it so appeal failed, I made an official complaint to them saying I would rather go to prison than pay but got no response , I hope they do take me to court as the way they operate is totally underhanded , don’t pay them they are vultures I won’t whatever happens, they can’t send the balifs as they are a private company so fight them

The MOST appalling organisation I have…

The MOST appalling organisation I have ever dealt with.

Despite submitting a formal appeal with all the necessary documentation, I continue to receive payment reminders for a completely unjustified charge. My landlord and the letting agent have both tried to contact them, yet no one responds.

There is no phone number where you can actually speak to a real person, making it impossible to resolve any issues. The lack of communication is staggering, and the sheer incompetence is beyond belief.

I have full permission to park in the designated bay as a tenant, yet I am being harassed for payment with no way to dispute it properly. This company operates with zero accountability, ignores legitimate appeals, and is clearly more interested in extracting money than in following fair procedures.

Avoid this organisation at all costs. Their disregard for fairness and customer service is absolutely disgraceful.
