The first full scale distillery in the Cotswolds, England. From our single malt whisky to our gins and liqueurs, everything we make at the Cotswolds Distillery is about quality and flavour above all else.

Just one point , the Delivery by DPD was Rubbish. They came too the back entrance [ it is a Satnav problem] but I saw them fro my Flat so I said I was coming down to collect. When I got there the Van had gone and the Parcel was Dumped outside a Neighbours Patio Door. Luckily I saw it . This was my Third DPD Dek=livery that was just dumped outside . One of the Packages was Frozen Food. Only EVRI are worse.

There were four of us. We were looked after by Charlotte who educated us regarding your history and tasting. I decided to go for the premium range. Eventually I was saddened to learn from an email that if you spend over £50.00 there will be a 10% discount. I spent £105.00 on a bottle of Highgrove whiskey plus a ball point pen. Maybe in future I’ll buy on line.
Always a great product and delivery was very good

Great visit as usual.
Brilliant food and coffee fantastic staff.
All round fantastic well done to everyone who works there.
I had an issue with a bottle that I purchased in an airport which I reported to Cotswolds Distillery.
They were very reactive in their response and investigation and even though the issue was caused by a member of staff at the airport Cotswolds Distillery took ownership of the problem.
It is very refreshing to have a company do this and value their customers.
As for the whiskey, it is excellent.

All Cotswolds distillery products have been delicious and unique in flavour. Delivery is always prompt.
It was a gift for a neighbour,so I have not tried it,he likes it he said
We (a group of 4) visited yesterday for the tour & taste . This was bought as a Christmas present for friends & we decided to join them. We had a brilliant day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Tucked away in the most beautiful countryside the distillery is a gem. Sarah, our guide was knowledgeable about the gin/whiskey production and both funny & friendly in her talk, and there were plenty of “samples” over the range to enjoy.
We lunched in pleasant surroundings in the site restaurant choosing from an attractive and balanced set of options on the menu.
This was an exceptional day that we all enjoyed and can definitely recommend!!

I bought a bottle of whisky from them and I'd only had a couple of glasses before the bottle cap came off from the cork, leaving the cork in the bottle. I reached out to Cotswold distillery to see if I can get a replacement or what options I had. I didn't even get a response. Obviously customer service and quality control is something lacking, I doubt I'll buy again.
Shame as I was really rooting for this distillery.

My early experience with Cotswold Distillery has been poor. I was given a gift card for the whisky blenders masterclass in early July but find I can't attend a course until December, when there are only 2 available dates. It's not right to sell these cards (and have only a 1 year expiry) if the course is not available. I would not buy a gift from Cotswold Distillery.
You're not acknowledging my point. If you don't have any slots available for six months, you should stop selling the experience gift cards. Don't sell experiences you can't fulfill.
I will take you up on your offer for an alternative. But I have just been back on your website and you are still selling the whisky blender experience without any advisory that you can't fulfil the experience until 2026. That's wrong.

Booked a tour for a small tour group of us for a friends birthday. It was an interesting tour, knowledgable staff who made the effort to be fun and inclusive (not a bored monotonous tone of someone who has done the same thing a thousand times) seemed genuinely excited to share information with us.
Gin and whisky tasting following the tour, including suggestions on the best mixers, but I do recommend trying them neat first so you can taste how the flavours change with the different mixers.
Whether or not you enjoy the drinks is entirely personal, I found some of the gins a little bitter for my taste but that's not the fault of the distillery! Everyone has different taste buds. If you know you don't enjoy gin this probably isn't the trip for you.
They had tasters to take home for those who were unable to drink at the venue as they were driving.
We booked a tour experience which included pizza & a cocktail or soft drink after the tour. The menu is minimalist, it's a small place you don't need 50 pizza options. There were options for vegetarians, vegans and people who can't have gluten.
Service was quick, pizza was lovely, and it was a wonderfully sunny day so we were able to sit outside at one of the tables with a parasol.
We had a nice walk to the wetlands area after lunch, where there are information boards explaining the varieties of flowers and plants.
Don't wear too many layers, it is VERY warm inside the distillery due to the machinery, and wear closed toe shoes, for safety you can't wear sandals.
Overall a very pleasant day out but do manage your expectations, it's not the fault of the distillery if you don't enjoy the taste of the drinks you are given to try, simply hand them back and try a different one.

We recently visited The Cotswold Distillery restaurant, we were told it would be a long wait for something to eat (it wasn't very busy!).
There was one vegan option on the menu. Very disappointing as we have been several times previously. We left and went elsewhere!

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Cotswolds Distillery on Sunday 4th May 2025, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable days out I’ve had in a long time. Our tour guide, Kevin Merrit, was a standout—an American with a passion for whisky and gin that’s truly infectious. His depth of knowledge was incredible, and he made the whole tour feel fun, relaxed, and endlessly interesting.
We learned so much—not just about how their whisky and gin are made, but how even the smallest additions (a drop of water, a slice of lemon, a splash of tonic) can completely transform the flavour profile. It was hands-on, informative, and full of opportunities to taste the different spirits along the way. Let’s just say we left the tasting room a little merrier than we went in!
After the tour, we stayed for lunch and enjoyed some of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, paired with delicious cocktails that were perfect for the sunny afternoon. We spent hours soaking up the atmosphere, sipping drinks, and enjoying the stunning countryside setting.
I also loved how the equipment and stills have names with American meanings—like “Dolly”—a brilliant nod to the distillery’s roots, especially since the founder came from the US. It’s little touches like that which make the experience feel personal and memorable.
My partner and I are always on the lookout for unique days out, and this one ticked all the boxes. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the other activities on offer. If you haven’t visited yet, make this your next stop—you won’t regret it!

We visited Cotswolds Distillery over a month ago, in January, but I can still clearly remember how nice experience it was.
Although we traveled in winter time, the place, the facilities and the surrounding area were still amazing.
The story behind the business is simply inspiring, their products are good quality, the staff is really kind, helpful and friendly.
I am a big fan of whisky, the Tour & Tasting vouchers turned out to be one of the best birthday presents I have ever received from my friends.
Would highly recommend this place to visit!
