The quality of the components ("leather", rubber) of the black high-tops is definitely less that it has been historically. I have always taken great pride in keeping the shoes (particularly the toes... See more

If I could give no stars I would
If I could give no stars I would. I wish I'd read these reviews before buying. As with other customers, I paid £12 for express delivery 2-3 days and it took longer. Even though UPS said they refund Converse for delivering late Converse refuse to pass it on to me.
I'm going to keep complaining and taking it further.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. Paid £12 for "express" delivery on 29th April. Took longer than free delivery and they won't refund the cost. Avoid this company!!!!!! . As others have said - they are based in Europe and use UPS. Both converse and UPS are hopeless
Disgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service. An order was never received and I've had to fill out a form for an 'investigation' five times so far, each time they come back with stupid reasons why it can't be submitted like 'there is a shadow on the image' and others. I have no shoes and no refund. Appalling from a well knowm brand
Terrible service
Terrible process for the consumer. I wish I had checked these reviews before wasting my time.
I ordered a pair of trainers for my Nephew’s birthday on Saturday 27th April. The order was cancelled 2 days later as they could not verify my billing or delivery address.
I called Converse on Tuesday 30th, confirmed the address was correct and was given a discount code to place the order again for £12 to cover the express delivery charge.
I placed the order again. Two days later they cancelled the order again.
I called them and was told that the order has been cancelled as the internal team still needs to check the addresses (they are still dealing with the ticket raised from when my last order was cancelled) and until such time as they have done so I cannot place another order with them and any orders I place will be cancelled. I have to wait for Converse to email me to say I can buy from them?
So, I as a buyer, have to wait for Converse as a seller to be contacted to say I can buy from them? This seems a very poor service for the customer.
I will never buy from them again. The process is totally unreliable.
Worst experience
There should be an indicator to reflect less than on start for this very atrocious service and delivery from converse.
Imagine ordering one gift card from the first week in April 2024, you get emails to say item was delivered but it wasn't.
You reach out customer care only to be told that the delivery email is generic because they don't get updates from usps and that they will instead send a digital card to my email as I have not received the physical card but it will take another 7-10 business days after having waited close to a month.
I also cannot get a refund because they don't give refunds on gift card (ridiculous).
All this while, I cannot get through by phone.
End of new time period and the agent says to me "oh it was sent to your email on April 25th". I'm like no and nothing is in my spam either!!!
Now, agent says again oh since you have not received it still, I will have to submit another request which will take another 7-10 business days!!!
What am I exactly for Converse and its customer service team to take me for a complete joke??????
I have never felt so utterly frustrated and angry at an online shoe company...EVER!!
You could not get a penny more from or anyone I know.
This hog wash is totally unacceptable.
I am putting today's date below as it is my latest experience (but trust there are many just within this month)
Delivery is delayed because the item I…
Delivery is delayed because the item I ordered is manufactured and shipped from Vietnam. It should be disclosed that it will take over a month to receive your order. And I was told by customer service they have no information on my order until I receive it. No tracking what so ever! Ridiculous in this day and age.
Excellent customer service support
Bought a pair of sneakers and unfortunately they were too small so I had to returned them - I gave got an excellent support from their customer service and been refunded the same day, thank you!
Shoes are shipped from Germany!
It's not transparent on their website that the shoes you've ordered are coming from Germany. I assume this means high return costs if you need to send them back? Since I was ordering from a UK company, I assumed that they would be shipped from the UK. I won't order from here again as this should be made clear.
Converse is worst
Converse's return policy sucks big time!!! Never buying anything again! It cost me $23+ to return a pair of shoes! Not fair!
Confusing returns system
I had to phone Converse because I hadn't received any kind of confirmation a full week after the Evri tracking showed my return had been dropped off. Apparently they're sent on to the warehouse in Germany, which takes another week, THEN you get confirmation, which says a refund takes up to 2 weeks. I then got an email and refund within 24 hours of the phone call. So I didn't have any problems as such, but why not send an email when the COMPANY gets the shoes? I bet customer Services wastes hours on calls like mine.
I will never order from converse.com again…
This has been one of the worst experiences ever trying to exchange a product. They have zero information as far as tracking number I had to provide it. I had to tell the customer service rep when it was received where and what time. It was received on Monday I called on Thursday she said I had to wait 3 days for the order to process. I said okay please cancel my order. All of a sudden my order was about to ship and I couldn't cancel it. LESSON LEARNED. NEVER AGAIN!
Ordered a pair of shoes over a week…
Ordered a pair of shoes over a week ago, paid £12.00 for shipping, and still haven’t had an update. Very confused and annoyed.
Do Not Shop here
Do Not Shop here. I ordered Lacesless received lace and no one will take responsibility.
Where is my RETURN!
Shocking. Accidentally ordered 2 pairs the same shoes. Called as soon as they took money from my account (20/03) to cancel one of the orders. The customer service told me to wait for the shoes and make a return. I did on same day when received it (26/03) and until now (12/04) I have not received ANY email about return, the parcel arrived back to converse long time ago and they DO NOT RETURN THE MONEY. They do not even bother about it. SHOCKING. I really so so disappointed, better I could’ve kept the shoes and just resell it rather than just loosing the money
Wasted weeks waiting for NOTHING!
Spent weeks waiting for the new D&D special edition chuck 70s they said 8am GMT but we had been awake all night and 8am came and went but they didn't go on sale until almost 9am so we missed them because converse didn't bother limiting them to one pair per person and the bots and scalpers took the lot in just a few minutes!
They literally sold out of all the big sizes before you could select add to basket, I don't mind losing out but it's the fact it's scalpers and not genuine customers that bugs me but we not be buying converse anymore.. They do it all the time low stock levels to push scarcity but it's got to the point genuine fans can't buy products anymore so what's the bloody point, I'm not spending hours search for there products just to pay 3x the price!
Awful please don't order from them you…
Awful please don't order from them you will live to regret it my order is late and rang customer services up and they are so rude and put the phone down on me not sure how this company is still in business
Ever worsening quality of manufacture
The quality of Converse product has, over the past few years, become unacceptably bad. Having worn Converse for thirty years or more, their longevity of service is ever decreasing. My latest pair has completely come unstuck prematurely and, of course, customer service do not want to know. £60 for a pair of poorly made canvas shoes is too much and trading on a past reputation can only last for so long. It’s an iconic brand but not one I will be part of any longer.
A disaster
A disaster. I bought two pairs last Thursday while traveling in the USA. When I arrive in Spain, the two boxes have the alarm on that they did not remove in the store (even though the alarm went off, the employee does not think of telling me to remove the alarms).
The second disaster comes when one of the shoes has a different size than the other, a 37.5 vs a 39.5!! My fault for not checking, but I didn't do it because in Spain it is always checked by the employee
Lastly and almost the worst, I write to Converse Europe who tell me that this is carried out by Converse USA, which are different. I call the store where I bought and they tell me that I should deal with it with customer care converse. When I call they tell me, no, that the store must resolve this only if it accepts returns via postal mail (the store subsequently tells me no...).
Gentlemen from Converse, don't you have a unified policy regarding operations? Don't customer care know which stores accept returns or not? Since you cannot accept a return via postal mail, but instead you can accept it in person (taking into account that I want to pay for the shipping!! although you should pay it...). It's surprising that you don't want to do anything to fix it, you ruin the relationship with a person who has been buying Converse for 30 years and that my children also wore because they didn't want to fix an issue that was easy to solve.
If I could give this company 0 stars
If I could give this company 0 stars, I would! First off, I was really excited to receive my shoes and was in no rush to get them. The first transaction cost me about $80+ with free shipping. Upon receiving my order, I realized the white egret flower shoes were too small and did not look anything like the photos online. I had to look IN the bag multiple times to make sure the 3D flowers were in there but nothing.
Deciding to return them, I packed them up and looked over the return policy. Here’s the deal, the customer NEEDS to be the one that covers the return shipping policy—I had no problems with this that is until I visited a shipping company and guess what it would cost me $40 just to RETURN the shoes!! That is half the PRICE. Having no choice, I sent the shoes back since I had no use for them and I emailed customer service. I had spoken to them about the cost and hassle of returning and they used the ‘as our policy, it is the customers responsibility to pay the shipping costs.’ One could say that you expect converse (a larger and well known company) would cover your return shipping costs but ultimately them won’t. I won’t be purchasing from the online website anymore and would rather go and buy the shoes in store from a secondary company. Better yet, but it on Amazon!!
