After the claim was reviewed by the Assistance Provider, it was determined that the trip did not meet the eligibility requirements of the policy purchased in line with the terms and conditions. As a result, cover could not be provided under the policy and assistance was only available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

I didnt realise there was an auto renew…
I didnt realise there was an auto renew on my policy and only needed it for a one off trip. I recieved notification of a payment from my bank and realised what had happened.
I recieved notification of renewal from them after payment taken. At no time did I get notification that the policy would auto renew or I would have canceled timely. Case 00723358 raised but no response as yet.

CBC took an early policy auto renew payment despite my request to cancel my policy in good time.
CBC took a policy auto renew payment early, despite myself using their online contact form to cancel my policy in good time. CBC have still yet to reply to me, to action a cancellation or to stop my payment. Have had to ask my bank to intervene to recover this payment. Will also be reporting this company to the Financial Ombudsman if there is no satisfactory redress and refund.

Automatic renewal is agreed to when the policy is purchased, and we do ask customers to contact us if they wish to turn this off.
The renewal invitation is sent 21 days before the renewal date and advises of the upcoming charge. Unfortunately, if we do not hear from you before the renewal date, the policy will renew automatically in line with the agreed terms.
We're pleased that this matter has now been resolved. An agent has cancelled the policy and arranged the full refund that was due.

Small comparison field
The website is fine, standard, usual, average, easy to use as one would expect, nothing to write home about; it worked without glitches. The title of it though, whilst factually accurate, I found somewhat misleading as it only compares three insurers (RAC, AA and Eversure, which was always going to win on price against the two big players). I did leave with a competitive quote that I am happy with.

Website could be slicker
My credit card would not work on the website, when using my PC. Had to log on with my ipad instead. My credit card did work with that, but the price had increased by £5.
