What a dreadful place

What a dreadful place. How is this possibly a 4 star hotel. Tired rooms, awful tatty furniture, broken fittings and the lift wasn't working. We were on the 3rd floor! Wish I could submit photos.

Poor experience

I stayed for 1 night only (wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer than that). I was informed that I’d been given an upgrade as I mentioned the terrible reviews. My room was very disappointing! Mold on window frames - cracks in bathroom floor and shower - stained carpet. Furniture tired with missing handles etc. This hotel needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom. The staff were lovely (hence 2 stars). Clean comfy bed and sheets.
Think twice before booking!!!!

The worst hotel I have been not a 4*!!

The location is the only good thing about it. The whole rest is a joke.
This was a birthday treat for my friend which was destroyed.
Firstly we have been given the room on the 4th floor and been advised that the lift was broken and will be fixed soon. We have been also told by receptionist the "you are young so you will be fine getting on the 4th floor without lift"; well, somethings shouldn't been said as not all disabilities are visible. And actually my friend has bone issues.
Secondly when we got to the room it turned around there is a water pump which was turning on every 10mins and the noise was unbelievable. I went downstairs to complain and been told there is no other rooms but they will turn it off for the night from 22.30 till 8am so we could have a sleep. Well, that wasn't true as we almost got a heart attack at 7am.
Next thing we wanted to have a shower in the morning it was good that we had our own cosmetics as turnaround that ones provided by the hotel were only for one person despite the room being for 2 people. Also there was not hot water so we had a cold shower!! There was also a cut cable out not covered and next to the bathroom heater were the towel would drip water! The toilet canister was also leaking!
There is a weired smell in the whole hotel like a dump and dust mixed together.
When we got for breakfast it also turned around that the lift hasn't been working for ages as there was a flower on the lift entrance in one place and sofa on the other.

Very very bad

Very very bad!
Me and my daughter was there in March this year (2024) and our room was terrible! Clean, ok, but since it’s so old and scabby it still looked appalling! Lights did not function and the windows were frosted. When we peaked out the window, that dis not open properly, we stared straight into a the cellar stairs with garbage and … I don’t know what. No wonder the windows were frosted. It smelled of mold and we actually considered buying slippers to walk on the floor.

However! The staff did it outmost to handle our complaints. And in the end we got a new room that was better. Big windows with a view of the garden. Light fixtures still did not work but a lot better. Unfortunately I forgot their names! But they should get star ratings for trying in this terrible hotel. Kudos to the woman working March 1st and the man working the evening of the 29th of February.

Avoid

Absolutely dreadful experience at this hotel. Hygiene is appalling; my room was riddled with mould, and the bathroom was a breeding ground for germs. Maintenance is non-existent; broken furniture and malfunctioning amenities everywhere. Staff are utterly useless; they couldn't care less about guests' concerns. The advertising is a complete lie; don't trust a word they say. Safety is a joke; I felt more at risk here than anywhere else. Avoid this place like the plague!

⛔️DO NOT ⛔️book this hotel. It’s a health and safety risk. Within 10 minutes of being in the room my breathing was affected. Absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t stay. Mould up the walls, very damp, not been decorated for years. Furniture falling apart. TV didn’t work. Door didn’t lock. I could go on. I notice some good reviews on other sites . These must be fake lies. This is a total con. ⚠️AVOID AVOID AVOID ⚠️

A Big fraud, wrong images, no electricity, no water, worst experience ever!!!

We had 25 points on our list, and nobody took it serious. Nobody! Went to the reception 8 times, asked for towels, toiletpaper, iron, hairdryer, more toiletpaper, bulbs for 3 lamps, a new door handle, help for the key to lock the door... i could continue!!!!! the personell tell you the manager is on holiday, he is not in uk at the moment, but we should send them an email. they got 4 in 48 hours from us, and no response. also we made tickets at hotels.com and expedia.com and waiting for reply.

The hotel declined the refund, and hotels.com declined. Thats why we made a new facebook group for people who feel CHEATED. THIS IS FRAUD.

Absolute lies!

The hotel had a 4 star rating and believe me it is a one star hotel. It is worse than any 2 star Motel 6 in the US. The hotel is ancient and so everything is falling apart. The floor creaks, the walls need paint/wallpaper, the plumbing is old. The lighting is very dim, hard to see to be able to shave. When I sit on the mattress the springs bottom out. All of the furniture are also ancient and the wood on tables and cabinets are so worn you can see bare wood. The room was ultra tiny, probably 15 ft by 15 ft. Do not stay at this hotel!!!

Scam Hotel

This place should come with a health…

This place should come with a health warning. I cannot believe this hotel is operating. Two of the three rooms we booked had no hot water running. There was mould in the bathroom, wall paper peeling from the walls. Damp stains on the ceilings and the soft bed throws were soiled with stains Im sure we can all guess from what. The breakfast I’m not sure you can even call it that, white bread and a choice of jam or marmalade and that was it. If this place was marketed as a one star. It is exactly what I could expect. I cannot understand how it is 4 stars. Not one other guest we spoke to whilst there, was happy and all had complaints of their own. This hotel must be reviewed if not shut down.

SCAM

SCAM! Do not trust this company, they overcharge me £1,125 for a room that costs £125. They said they would refund me 3 weeks ago and I haven't received a penny. TOTAL SCAM, never experience something like this in my life.

They refuse to refund an accidental…

They refuse to refund an accidental booking.

Many customers have had disgusting experiences there with coming out in rashes from bed bugs and breathing problems from mould and mildue. They advertise as a four star hotel but the building is decrepid and needs to be condemned. Structurally it is falling apart with no maintenance being carried out and poses not just a risk to customers but also passers by. There are also rodents in the property's kitchen and dining areas.

They also have many other issues with unsanitary cooking areas, mouldy food and food poisoning.

Sometime soon im sure the hotel will be responsible for someone's death. (if they haven't already)

SOS 🆘 DANGER for your health!!!

Had 6 nights at this evil property and the whole stay was a simply nightmare!!! At first they put me into a tiny room with huge stains on a ceiling, killing smell of a rot and mold, no internet. Next day I requested to change my room and that’s when the biggest fun has started… I was eaten alive with bed bugs, I have no single untouched spot over my body. I have never experienced something more disgusting in my life. I’ve burst out with allergenic reaction on those bites, full body is red and swollen, itchy and unbelievably painful. I had to spend a good dollar on a treatment and pass week I’m not well still. I have sent an email addressed to management 1 week ago and nobody had dignity to reply to me. This is all so unacceptable and absolutely ridiculous! I can’t call it a hotel, cause those places are supposed to have some sort of hospitality understanding, hygiene and service. Those guys are far away from those concepts.
Regarding breakfast - same food on daily basis, no choice, no care.
1 more thing- they are taking a deposit which is 50£, do not expect to get it back.
Can think of 1 conclusion to all of this - property must be shut down as soon as possible and never make business again! They rape of customers with a good money and whatever happens there- who cares.

This hotel is complete scam

This hotel is complete scam. It advertises itself with 4 stars but it could barely have 1. Dirty and unkept with dishonest staff. We did't stay there after paying in full, cannot get money back, they do not answer emails or call back.

Shocking experience!!

On 21.11.21 We arrived at the hotel shortly after 2 pm to check in and leave our bags. We've been given a key to room No 27. When my friend was about to open the door it was slammed in our faces by a cleaning lady. As turned out the room wasn't ready and rather unpleasant receptionist had no clue what was going on upstairs. 

But this wasn't the worst experience of all. When we came back in the evening and as were about to go to sleep we founded ourselves laying on the most uncomfortable mattress. There were springs sticking out above the surface!! The whole thing was uneven and impossible to sleep on. A night concierge was kind enough to let us stay in a different room, this time No 23. Lucky enough, this time bed wasn't too bad, but to our shock we meant to use bathroom which was literally falling apart. I couldn't be more disappointed with a lack of care for the customers and staff who was clearly embarrassed with the whole situation.

The room was cold and dirty

The room was cold and dirty, there were cables all over the floors as a huge health and safety risks, the room cleaners were having a fight with the room opposite me, I was trying to work, absolutely impossible. there was a water emergency at the same time so I had people coming in and out of my room to check my bathroom in case leakage was from my room (which was not). pillows didnt even have cover, the whole thing was disgusting, no way I could sleep on the bed or use the shower/ bath. I only had hired the room to work from it during the day. Did not order any food or drinks, it was so bad, I went down to a local cafe for lunch.
