I went into Kensington Church Street branch of Cologne and Cotton yesterday to ask about a display of small pillows piled up in the window. Admittedly it was 15 minutes before closing time, but the welcome was pretty chilly.
I asked politely about the price of the smallest pillow and the next size up - "they're the same size," said the saleslady unhelpfully. "Oh I thought the second one was bigger," I said. "No they're the same," she said firmly.
I had another look and they clearly were two different sizes so I picked up the second, larger size, "Oh sorry - yes," the saleslady said in an irritated way.
I bought the larger size pillow, and also a very pretty Amalfi cotton pillowcase, and I'm delighted with both of my purchases.
I've just had a look today at my receipt, and although what I bought is clearly labelled "Cluster Fill Ball Fibre Cot Pillow 57x35," what I've been invoiced for is
"18" x 18" feather pad (45cm)" priced £12.50.
The fact that I've been overcharged by 50 pence is not really the point, and if the saleslady had been agreeable I might not have even mentioned it - mistakes happen. But she was ungracious and unhelpful. There were two sales staff in the shop and the other lady who went to the stockroom to find the pillow and the cover was lovely, but the lady who actually was at the till was neither friendly nor helpful. I left the shop before 5.00pm so I didn't make her late - I don't think that was the trouble! Anyway I'm delighted with my purchase, the little pillow is just what I wanted, and the Amalfi cover is beautiful.

The product itself is excellent. But you are so hard to do business with.
1. you don’t allow our non UK addressed but UK bank card to be used on your website. So we have to fumble via family members to order from you .
2. the colours on your website are not at all true to life. Staff in your Marylebone shop tell us ‚ that’s normal, everyone knows internet photos aren‘t true to life
3. there is no way to set an alert to say ‚tell me when this product is back in stock‘
4. and the dogtooth blue range CONSTANTLY has some vital part out of stock.

If you just fixed one ofvthe above it would help…
