Before ordering, I specifically contacted Colglo to confirm that the DAB pump would be supplied new and in original manufacturer packaging. I received written confirmation stating that “all our pumps are supplied new in original packaging.”

When the item arrived, the manufacturer’s box had already been opened and re-sealed with Colglo tape. I therefore refused delivery and the DPD driver returned the item immediately.

Following this, Colglo management explained that:

• “Upon the receipt of pumps from the supplier, our staff always open the box to inspect the goods.”
• This forms part of their “quality control procedures”.
• “The Colglo tape on the box is so that the package can be easily identified.”

They also stated:

“We feel it would be remiss of us not inspect goods received.”

However, this inspection and re-sealing process was not disclosed before purchase, despite my specific enquiry regarding original packaging and condition.

As a result, upon delivery it was not possible to distinguish between:

• factory-sealed stock,
• stock opened for inspection,
• or stock that may previously have been opened, returned, or rejected.

For higher-value electrical/mechanical products, clear disclosure of this process before purchase would help avoid uncertainty regarding packaging condition on arrival.

Customer service responses were polite and a refund was given. I ultimately decided not to proceed with a replacement order.

Had stock at a really good price of an item hard to source. Responded quickly to stock level query. Next day delivery was great and excellent service all round.

CG were good but the delivery people were very poor on the first attempt at delivery.

Well to be honest the fittings arrived in three days and was delighted as stated 5 working days. I have previously sent email to check availability of whole order with product codes and quantities - but received after NO response despite having phoned. So l just order a few items and obtained rest at Toolstation. 3 days is all needed. Next day for 10.50 is steep.

Simplicity itself. From ordering to delivery everything was perfect.

placed a sizeable order. this company never said they didn't have it in stock and so missed a deadline. we cancelled the order, they still delivered it.

Had trouble finding a certain radiator valve but Colglo had exactly what I needed, once I placed my order I received it with in a few days.

Placed an online order, but I had incorrectly ordered one piece. I called and talked with an extremely helpful person. We cancelled part of the order and they shipped the parts I needed arriving two days later. They also promptly refunded the cost of cancelled item. Wish all companies were this helpful and responsive.
