Utterly incredible chocolate and such an amazing selection to choose from. Customer service is also excellent with quick, clear and helpful communication.

I first ordered a variety of chocolate which was great although I didn’t check the bb dates. The website is very comprehensive and really enticing which is great, however the subscription service seems inefficient. The first order apparently went missing but I only found out after chasing it. I asked for a replacement but to date that hasn’t arrived either. Soon I’ll be into the second months payment and still no subscription chocolate. I would cancel but it seems I’m compelled to have three months at least of the subscription before I can cancel. I have loads of things on subscription, coffee, toilet rolls, laundry products etc and none of those insist on three months before cancelling. In addition payment appears to be taken two weeks before the product is dispatched.

I ordered some chocolates online and they were never shipped. A tracking number was created, but the Royal Post never updated it to indicate they received it. After a week, I reached out. No response. Reached out again, no response. Third time, no response. All with several days in between.

I ended up having to dispute the charge with my bank to get a refund.

Was a great experience, had a lovely evening. Learned a great deal about chocolates, and how to enjoy them and understand the flavour profile. Would recommend doing a chocolate tasting evening!

A really enjoyable, relaxed, but informative tasting session. The interactive elements were great and our host was knowledgeable and fun. The number of bars included as also excellent.

Superb chocolate from the true experts. Delivery fine which is some times slow but acceptable. Chocolate is a true meditative experience with other benefits as well

I learnt a lot more about craft chocolate. Our presenter was very informative and funny. I would have liked some coloured slides to help understand what chocolate is, how it grows and what countries it is grown.
The cafe was a bit cramped and I would have liked chilled sparkling water instead of tepid tap water. It was a sweltering evening.
I wished I had taken the tasting sheets home with me!

Beware if you are considering purchasing a subscription - as another reviewer has already mentioned, this is a premium-priced service for which you receive chocolate beyond its best before date! I bought the dark subscription as a gift for a family member and was surprised to find most of the bars received have been short dated (approx 1 month before best before) or already past their best before. Given most of the dark chocolate I purchase usually has a shelf life of around 1-2 years, to receive such short-dated products seems poor. I fully agree with being sustainable and reducing waste, but in my opinion the price should be reflective. The chocolate has been interesting and varied but at almost £30 per month (excluding delivery) for 4 bars each time, I’m not sure it has warranted its price tag.

i have found every bit a sheer plesure you can realy taste the flavours and you can realy enjoy the aroms of the cocoa i am at present enjoying the bar that cotains pinapple your company is the best that i have for single oragin chocolate i will continue to buy choclate from your company WELL DONE KEEP IT UP CARL

Fast delivery of the Easter choc bars suitably wrapped and environmentaly friendly wrapping and mailing cover.
The choc Easter bars were unusual in their filling which had a bit of crunch It was delicious and appreciated by person who I gave it to as a presant too .
Cant be sure of exact date of buying and receiving ....

I went to the Cocoa Runners chocolate tasting event. It was fantastic! I not only got to sample a wide variety of craft chocolate, I learnt about the growing and processes - from bean to bar. I learnt how to make considered, sustainable choices about the chocolate I buy. I learnt what to look for (and what to avoid!) in the ingredients and I learnt the what and why some chocolates taste moreish/bitter.

Spencer and Gen were a fountain of knowledge and the information they imparted, blew my mind; there was so much I didn't know about chocolate! On top of this, they were great hosts; ensuring my vegan tastes were catered for, making me feel relaxed and welcome as well as making the evening fun and interactive.

I cannot reccommend this enough. You will think so differently about the chocolate you buy. If you want a different kind of night out, do this. It's well worth it!

Bought this very pricey subscription as a gift. First box arrived with one bar of chocolate that was already expired and another one one month til expiry. Wrote to the company they replaced the expired one and told that the close to expiry bar is ‘within policy’. Received second box today - 2 of them with expiry March. Feel like they are simply putting unwanted close to expire bars as subscription

Horrendous! I placed an order while living in the Netherlands. The website wouldn't take my order because my billing information was in the US, so I went in and changed my billing information. The system changed my shipping address to my US billing address, which is a mail forwarding company! It was a large order. Lots of threatening emailsfrom DHL to pay customs. Filled out the contact form on their site - no response. Emailed them. Auto response saying they are really busy - twice. The third time 1 got an apology that they are busy from a person. After threatening emails to them that I was going to contact my credit card company to get a refund, they said they would look into it. The entire process took over a MONTH! Do not buy from them. Being someone who orders regularly from bean to bar chocolate providers and directly from the companies, do not buy from them!

I absolutely loved it. It was very informative whilst being relaxed and easy to understand.

I attended the Cocoa Runners Craft Chocolate Tasting and thought it was fantastic. Super informative, and great fun! I came away inspired, with a tonne of new knowledge, ideas and notes for further investigation. Highly recommend!

This is the best chocolate course I have EVER been on (I've done a few!). Spencer is both an absolute authority in this area as well as being hugely entertaining. I learnt a ridiculous amount in just 1.5 hours, about how chocolate is made, or how it SHOULD be made, and about how to taste it properly. Just half an hour in, my taste buds had already been disciplined to understand proper chocolate. I've told everyone about this course - it's a chocolate revolution!
