Considering 77 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers report significant dissatisfaction with the customer service, describing it as rude, unhelpful, and inefficient, often leading to frustration and a lack of resolution for their issues. People frequently encounter problems with their orders, including items being unavailable after purchase, incorrect products received, or orders being cancelled without clear explanation, leading to wasted time and effort. The service in general is often criticized for being incredibly slow, with long wait times for prescriptions and a perceived lack of staff to handle customer volume. Poor service by ChemistWhse Parramatta Westfield.

Called to ask if ChemistWhse Parramatta Westfield if they have stock of the medicinal product on my daughter’s script. They said no and could not order from the medicinal product unless they sight the script even though I have purchased the same product from the store previously. I then called Carlingford Chemist Warehouse and they ordered the medicinal product straight away with the product available next day and asked me to confirm I have the script which I subsequently confirmed. Hence, I want to share my terrible experience with the Parramatta Westfield Chemist Warehouse store as they really need to improve their customer centric focus and put their patients first by doing the right thing and learn how to demonstrate patient care as demonstrated by the Carlingford Chemist Warehouse store.

ROSE NEEDS TO BE FIRED

ROSE NEEDS TO BE FIRED !

I had an appalling Click & Collect experience at Chemist Warehouse Maroubra on 17 Jan 2026 around 3:58 pm.
I arrived to collect my order (Order No. **********) after receiving both the SMS and email confirmation. The staff member at the counter (name tag appeared to read Rose) did not acknowledge me when I greeted her, did not look up from her phone, and made no effort to stand or engage professionally.
She asked for my order number, then abruptly stated she “doesn’t take order numbers” while I was reading it out. I then showed the email confirmation, which she dismissed, asked for the barcode, then said she doesn’t use that either. I even offered for her to scan the barcode to avoid confusion, at which point she snapped and demanded my name instead. The back-and-forth was unnecessary, confusing, and entirely avoidable.
When she finally located my order, she didn’t stand to retrieve it and handled the interaction in a careless, disengaged manner. I spent $113.76 on four La Roche-Posay products and was treated as if I was an inconvenience rather than a customer.
This experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and has genuinely put me off shopping at this location again. Click & Collect should be simple — instead it was frustrating and unpleasant due to staff attitude and lack of basic customer service.

Chemist Warehouse Forest Glen

Chemist Warehouse Forest Glen. Faulty pharmaceutical product and confirmed by pharmacist. However, was told I have to contact manufacturer myself to get a refund. Could not get hold of manufacturer and all day went between manufacturer and chemist warehouse until I realised Australian Consumer Law steps in and chemist warehouse have to refund me and they chase refund their end. Finally a refund from them but after a wasted day of back and forth no apology and no call back even though I requested twice on their website… great experience since I spend a lot of money there every single month…

Serious questions about pricing transparency

Chemist Warehouse Parramatta Westfield (Level 1) is chaotic, overcrowded, and operates with a complete disregard for basic professional standards. The pharmacy service in particular is hostile, dismissive, and unacceptable.
I asked a simple and reasonable question about pricing inconsistencies and was treated as an inconvenience rather than a customer. Within one month, the price of the same medical item increased from $0 to $110, with no explanation provided. This is not a minor issue, it is inadmissible behaviour for a pharmacy supplying essential medical items.
I was also quoted $171 for a basic medical supply that sells for $17.99 at another pharmacy. A ten-fold price difference without transparency is indefensible and raises serious concerns about pricing practices, ethics, and consumer treatment.
Individuals who depend on regular medical supplies should consider providers that demonstrate transparency, accountability, and basic respect for patients.

Rude and Unhelpful re Delivery

Last night I ordered magnesium tablets online on the Chemist Warehouse site. I had run out unexpectedly and I need these daily to prevent cramps. I bought 2 large bottles of Nature's Own brand Magnesium Chelate 500mg and I paid a bit more than $23 extra to have them delivered before 1pm today. On the site it said that the package would be left somewhere safe. I didn't sleep until this morning and woke up at about 9:45am or so. I saw a phone message to say my package had been returned to Chemist Warehouse because I was not here when it was to be dropped off. Re the delivery driver - a taxi driver - I heard no knock on the door, but there was the phone message only. I called him and he was not rude, but basically said it wasn't his problem and that they always required someone to be home when packages were delivered. He said the package would be taken back to Chemist warehouse. I then phoned Chemist Warehouse in Maryborough Qld and spoke to a female who was not rude. She said that it was up to the delivery company and even though I pointed out that the information on the website said it would be left in a safe place, she said it wasn't theior problem - nicely, though. She then said the package was not there yet so I could try to phone the delivery driver and get it re-delivered. I asked her was that on her authority and she said it was. I called the driver again and he said he had dropped the package at Chemist Warehouse at 10.05am, after he referred to his paperwork. I called Chemist Warehouse in Maryborough Q again and a make answered and said I would be dealing with him and that he was the manager re the deliveries. He later said his name was Feky - his spelling - and said it was his surname after I asked. He began extremely rudely. My original phone call to them had been answered by a store worker, who then passed my call onto the woman I spoke to. When the male answered I asked to be put through to the person who I spoke to before and his response was, without explanation, "No, you will be dealing with me". Only after I asked did he say he was the manager or whatever. His attitude in tone was rude from the beginning, even if his words at first were civil. After exchanges, he said it was my fault this had happened because I didn't open the door (as I said, I never heard anyone knock or phone and was asleep, and the website had said the package would be dropped off). I then asked what I was to do about getting the package. He was now referring to it as medication and saying the delivery people shouldn't drop off medication without a signature. I told him it was magnesium and he said, "That's medication". It's an over-the-counter supplement. I explained that I am on two walking sticks, and of course I live out of town, and that is why I have deliveries. He said to get in touch with Customer Service, and I asked if they were open today. His exact words were, "You'll figure it out". I told him his attitude was extremely rude and I asked for his name. He also mentioned he was a pharmacist. I asked him to spell his name "Feky" and if it was his first or last name. He said it was his last name. He was about to hang up and I asked for the number of Customer Service. In his same sarcastic tone he said, "I'll get you the number. Not a big deal." He gave me the number and I thanked him and hung up on him because that's what his rudeness deserved. I phoned that number and got a message to say I had to call back during office hours, which he would have known, but couldn't be bothered telling me because he has an attitude. Maybe it's a cultural sexist attitude, or maybe he is just a generally offensive and entitled person. Who knows? So I'm now stuck, with no options. I can't get the package I paid for and paid an extrea $23+ dollars to have delivered on the understanding that it would be dropped off somewhere safe. The person who should have at least offered me other options or an apology was intolerably rude. "You'll figure it out"??! What an insufferable pig. I need those tablets but nowe I have to wait for one more day to even talk to Chemist Warehouse, and I know they will just tell me to pick them up, but I can't. I will never buy another thing from them unless I have no option - I live in a regional area and don't have many choices so it's possible to have them the only option during certain hours. Over the years I have bought a lot from them online. I stopped getting scripts there as the waiting times were way too long. I also gave up on click and collect - which I could do at the time - because they gave the person collecting an extremely hard time and were very rude, but that was a couple of years ago. Don't shop there, don't support them, boycott them. They are so rude. I still have to deal with Customer Service tomorrow, and I am expecting more of the same, frankly. We'll see.

RUDE!

Bad timing I guess.
Staff had just refunded something expensive looking, and treated me unkindly when that customer left, and I moved before the "NEXT!"
Was 42c, we were all unhappy.
Did it feel good to vent slightly at me?
Chemist Warehouse Woodville Gardens, I WONT BE BACK.

Be aware of costs at Hastings Discount…

Be aware that while Hastings Discount Drug Store proclaim cheap prices this is NOT true. So shop around! Prescriptions are EXPENSIVE. I filled the same prescription at three places.
HDDS = $15.50
Regular chemist = $13
Discount Pharmacy Frankston = $9.40!
Huge difference. HDDS is by far the most expensive. We also tried on other prescriptions and all were way more expensive at HDSS.

PATHETIC - My advice is don’t bother!!

My advice is don’t bother!!! This place is a complete waste of time! I purchased x 2 perfumes online during the Boxing Day sales only to have my order cancelled less than 12 hours later for no reason. I get on the website and try to reorder the same products and they are definitely in stock (or at least the website says they are). Clearly Chemist Warehouse is selectively choosing who should be allowed to purchase their products (I’m sorry if I have a foreign surname and hence that makes me unworthy to purchase from you) or they are engaging in Misleading and Deceptive conduct as outlined in Section 18 of the Consumer Law by advertising products they don’t have in stock! Disgusted as to the seemingly racist behavior and I will NOT BE BACK and will be telling everyone I know about this experience and the fact that the last 3 orders have also been cancelled for no stipulated reason. Great job Chemist Warehouse!

Very bad behaviour from pharmacist

Very bad behaviour from pharmacist, gave script, ask about the medication in 30 minutes, he is shouting and saying, you got lots of medication, it will take 2hr. Not only the time, his sound and behaviour is very bad. He should not be a staff in Australian shops.

I have been on the phone for multiple…

I have been on the phone for multiple hours and was promised by tegan kenworchy from customer service online that this will be resolved the way i wanted it, but it seems like no actions was taken.

I spoke to tegan kenworchy about two weeks ago about an order i made, which items were all in stock when i ordered online during black friday, where i got a significant cashback with my order. What happened after feels like a scam.

Turns out one of my items was claimed to be not in stock and they require me to either refund the item or cancel the order. Both ways i will not get my cashback as shopback/topcashback does not honour any cashbacks if the total of the order is changed.

when i spoke to the click and collect store, they said they are unable to do anything due to system limitations, even though i told them i was happy to wait for it to get back in stock. The item is still showing as in stock for the lane cove store right now - however they refuse to fulfil my order due to i guess, system limitations - This is according to Nuri from Lane Cove.

The worst part about this is when i spoke to Tegan from customer service, she said she will fix this for me and i can collect the rest of the items shortly but upon calling for an update with the store 2 weeks later, it is still waiting for 21 days to cancel it automatically.

It seems tegan was trying to just mark the customer service call as resolved and took me for a ride, when i was here waiting for the last 2 weeks, trusting her.

I placed a click & collect order online…

I placed a click & collect order online for several units of one product, I checked with the store and I know it was in stock and ordered and paid in full online that night. The money left my account that night in full for the order and then I didn’t hear anything from them! I rang the store 3 days later and enquired, they said they have plenty of the product in stock and to come in, I said I had paid for it already online and they didn’t seem to know much if anything about it. Gave them the order number and receipt number of money transferred to them, they said give it another day and it should go through? 2 days after this I went into the shop to enquire and was told that I can buy the products that day over the counter but I would just have to wait for the online purchase to process still if I wanted the click & collect order which I had already paid for?? The very next day I received an email saying my order was cancelled!! I contacted customer support and was told all operators were busy & leave my details and someone will call back, I logged onto the customer service portal and entered all of the details/numbers of my issue, haven’t had any response from that, rang customer service again last night, gave the order number and case number and the CSO didn’t have any answers and said they would have to get someone to call me back!!! I have no products and they now have my money & no talk of refunds, perfect business model for them really! Absolutely useless to buy online here, you will have problems for sure so don’t bother!

We have progressed as a society having…

We have progressed as a society having far more understanding of mental illness and disability’s Every now and then exposure to discrimination is revealed.
I have a friend that suffers PTSD usually unable to make clear choices under times of PTSD. My friend entered this pharmacy but unfortunately was unable to feel safe exiting at the other end as the boxes placed looked like a jigsaw not stacked high but required weaving through.
Revealing this to pharmacist but explained its a result of PTSD. In most cases someone would just choose a different lane this is not always a choice for someone with a handicap like this.
The pharmacist explained it should have been blocked off but gave no indication of doing so. A call was made to work safe not to be vindictive but with PTSD it becomes overwhelming to see clearly. My friend has now been banned from the premises not based on rudeness or poor language.
The explanation was that they gave was we do not have the staff time or resources for someone of their kind. When reading this feedback remember PTSD has not been a choice but an exposure to an incident resulting in trauma.
Discrimination still exists in the community especially when it something that is only now becoming more common and recognized.Stand tall and proud instead of being shamed by prejudice.
Please like share and express your thoughts on this as individuals we can stand for all
Against discrimination. Heidelberg Chemist Thank you for anyone reading understanding and sharing this for my friend please share far and wide.
