Today is my 60th Wedding Anniversary, and on our way to lunch I popped into Charles Clinkard in Burford.
I have been looking for comfy white shoes for weeks and today found the perfect pair. While talking to your helpful and enthusiastic assistant, Judy, she suggested I try the White Orthotritt shoes, which she wears every day. We both have the same issues with painful feet. I'm sure these will be perfect for me. I would never have considered them without her guidance and recommendation. It made my day!
I also bought the Proaktiv Waldlaufer shoes, on her recommendation. The first time I've ever bought two pairs of shoes.

The Mall at Cribbs Causeway gave me one of the best shopping experiences I've had in a long time.

I visited about a month ago to return some sandals to Timberland—which, I have to say, wasn’t a great experience. On a whim, I decided to pop into Charles Clinkard to see if they had any suitable sandals for my upcoming holiday. I’d never shopped there before, so I didn’t know what to expect.

After browsing for a few minutes, a staff member approached me to see if I needed any help. I appreciated that they gave me a moment to look around first rather than jumping on me straight away—it felt relaxed and respectful. I said yes, and mentioned I wanted to try on a couple of pairs. She went off to get them and kindly helped me try them on. I have a bad back, and bending down to try on shoes can be difficult, but she just naturally offered help without me even needing to ask. It felt like part of the service, which was really refreshing.

Once I chose a pair I loved, we discovered they didn’t have my size in stock. Without hesitation, she offered to have them delivered. I told her I was flying out in five days and was worried about timing, but she reassured me they would arrive in time—and they did! Not only that, but the sandals were incredibly comfortable—some of the comfiest shoes I’ve worn in a long time.

Unfortunately, about halfway through my holiday, one of the plastic buckles broke. When I got back, I returned to the shop, showed them the issue, and was immediately offered either a refund or an exchange. I asked for an exchange because I liked them so much, and again, they didn’t have my size in store—but they arranged for them to be delivered. They arrived within just a couple of days.

All in all, the service was excellent from start to finish. I’ll definitely be returning and reccomending to family and friends.

Ordered a pair of Josef Seibel Vigo14 shoes last weekend - and they arrived 2 days later! Excellent service - thank you! Shoes are extremely comfortable (I am now down to my last pair of feet which do get very painful & swollen!). Absolutely so comfortable and I am 'over the moon'! Will definitely order another pair as soon as I can afford them.

I came to the Bristol shop last Tuesday but was unable to return shoes which were the wrong size. I believe you were dealing with a flood.Unfortunately I will now have to make another trip or pay for the return postage.

Very efficient ordering and swift delivery. Equally good returns/refund service. Unfortunately my size was out of stock but the process was excellent.

I ordered a pair of shoes paid full price. I received a pair that had been in the sale I would guess for some time. The shoes had scuff marks and signs of wear. The box broken with sale labels scratched off. I then had to pay for the return. Not good attention to quality customer service. Also I object to putting in full details from my card to make the return which goes through a third party website.

Easy to order-same style just the next size up. Previous pair the sole came off - quality not as expected- but Clinkards refunded no problem. As I result I am a loyal customer.

I prefer to go to the shop when purchasing footwear. Charles Clinkard in Wilmslow has an extensive range and very good customer service. However on this occasion they did not have my chosen sandals in stock so I purchased them online where they have even great choice. It was easy to place an order, communication was good and they arrived quickly. I am a very happy returning customer and would definitely recommend.

A brilliant experience, I struggle for nice looking, WIDE fitting shoes, which these provided. Hey Dude shoes so good, that I have come across a different style away on holiday and bought them. Would use these guys again

I ordered online for collection in store (Eldon Square, Newcastle).On collecting, the shoes ordered were too small for my son. The lady who looked after us could not have been more helpful. She quickly swapped the shoes for a bigger size, and made sure my son was comfortable. She had a fantastic manner, it was such a positive customer service experience

Unfortunately one of my shoes split across the sole, but the speed and efficiency with which my refund was agreed and processed was first class.
