We had our charger installed by Ross Bowden which went really well. The communication before the install was great so we knew when he would arrive. Work carried out really neatly and we are thoroughly pleased with the end result. Highly recommended

Will arrived exactly when he said he would (was actually 5mins early), he explained exactly what he was going to do and what he needed from me.

The job was done quickly and efficiently, with all mess cleaned up.

We then went through the set up and Will checked everything was working before he left.

We booked to have our EV home charger fitted by chargedEV, from start to finish it was an excellent experience, we were contacted several times just to confirm the day and what to expect, we were messaged the day before and on the day by Ashely Cross the electrician that would be fitting our charger to let us know what time to expect her, she done an excellent job, very neat and tidy and on completion set up the WiFi connection and the app on my phone, she explained everything and ran through everything we needed to know, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending ChargedEV and Ashely cross to install your home charger.

Im giving 5 stars purely for my installer - Ashley Cross. She did a lovely job, really neat considering it was a tricky installation, very happy with that service.
I would however give 3-4 stars for the booking side. I originally went with Hypervolt/ChargedEV because they said they could fit in 3 weeks. I was booked in for that timeframe so was thinking great…but then my appointment was cancelled due to a staff sacking and then had to wait another 3.5 weeks so nearly 7 in all. It is also quite difficult to talk to anyone as lines are always busy so end up relying on call backs.
Honest review, great installation but organisation side for me personally could have been a bit better to manage my disappointment of being made to wait longer than originally promised.

Can’t praise the entire process enough from order through to installation.
Special thanks should go to our installer, Ashley Cross who did an excellent, first class job with total professionalism from start to finish. Ashley cleaned up everything and we would never know she had been here, if not for the shiny new EV Charger on the outside wall.

Purchased a EV charger and the company was going to use ChargedEV as the installer. Total Waste of time, they asked me loads of questions and asked for loads of photos and meter readings etc and then I’ve not heard from them for over 2 weeks! No communication and the place I have purchased EV charger from have apologised and given me another supplier to do the install. AVOID! X

I’m so disappointed with this company. I have paid Scottish Power for the fitting of s new EV charger and tether lead. The charger was fitted by Charged EV weeks ago. They failed to turn up with the tether lead. I have been chasing this matter for weeks and no one calls me back to resolve this matter. I continue to feel let down and unheard

This company, sub contracting for Scottish Power, have to be one of the most incompetent organisations I have dealt with. Having purchased the full package through S. P. (Charger and cable), the charger was fitted on 10th April 2026. Installer informed me that it wasn’t standard for them to have the cable to give me that day and it would be delivered within two days. Today is the 8th May, I have a home charger and an electric car but no way of joining the two together. Because even after numerous phone calls and online chats to both companies I still don’t have the cable I paid for! At this rate I could have got one from China on Temu quicker than this company works! Take my advice and buy from someone else if your looking for a home charger.

Great communication - They called a couple of days before to confirm the appointment, emailed with details and then text the day before with the installers details.

Installer - William was polite and professional, explained what he was doing and the best place to place the charger. He went through the app to ensure that everything was clear. Quick and efficient.

I chose this company based on positive reviews and because they were recommended by Tusker. The initial response was quick and helpful, which gave me confidence to proceed.

However, once the installation was completed, the experience changed completely. It has been extremely difficult to contact them—calls involve waiting 20–25 minutes just to get through, and follow-ups are inconsistent. I’ve been told multiple times that someone would contact me, but no one ever did.

The pricing is also on the higher side compared to local installers. What’s disappointing is that the work is subcontracted anyway, so you end up paying more for the same service. In my case, the subcontracted engineer didn’t seem to have a clear understanding of integrating solar PV with a Zappi charger, despite me explaining this requirement clearly during the pre-install survey.

Even after installation, the system was not properly integrated, and I was later told I would need to pay extra for an additional CT clamp to make it work. This should have been identified and included from the beginning.

After checking with local installers, I found quotes that were £250–£300 cheaper, and one even offered the newer Zappi GLO at a lower price than what I paid.

Overall, I feel frustrated with my decision to go with this company. Poor communication, higher costs, and unresolved issues have made this a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company and have shared my experience with colleagues as well.

Ashley turned up on time was excellent and super friendly, her professionalism was outstanding and in tidying up after the job was complete.
