No help whatsoever. There's no need for me to even explain my review, there are so many others who have already said the same thing I'm going through with my so-called warranty. Very sad.

I would not recommend CARS Protection Plus based on my experience with them.

Claim #ACE812640

I have been dealing with this warranty claim for approximately three weeks, and the process has been extremely frustrating. Instead of receiving clear answers and assistance, I have repeatedly been sent back and forth between the warranty company and the repair facility.

My Camaro has a serious engine issue. A compression test showed approximately 75 PSI in cylinder #4 compared with 148–152 PSI in the other cylinders, and a subsequent leak-down test identified an internal cylinder sealing problem. Despite these diagnostic results, I have continued to encounter additional requirements, delays, and potential out-of-pocket diagnostic/teardown costs.

The most frustrating part is that I was recently told the repair facility was not acceptable and that the vehicle needed to be moved. This was after the vehicle had already been at the shop for weeks and after diagnostic testing had been performed. If the facility did not meet CARS’ requirements, why wasn’t I told that when the claim was first opened?

I also received inconsistent explanations about whether the repair facility qualified under their requirements. Their own website states that the vehicle must be at a repair facility in the United States that is open to the public during normal business hours and capable of performing teardown and determining the cause and extent of damage. The shop where my vehicle is located is an actual physical auto-repair business.

I’m not upset simply because my claim hasn’t been approved. I understand that a warranty company has to investigate a mechanical failure. My frustration is with the three weeks of delays, inconsistent information, repeated diagnostics, lack of clear communication, and uncertainty about who is responsible for the costs.

I expected a warranty company to help make the claims process easier. Instead, I feel like I’ve had to fight just to get straightforward answers about my own vehicle.

Very disappointing customer service and claims experience.

All the replies are basically the same…

All the replies are basically the same from the company. And....the negative posts far outweigh the positives.
I tried calling their number. Left a message and my number....their WEB site states....we will respond the following day if after business hours. Waited 2 days..called a 2nd time....waited 2 days...called a 3rd time....still no answer or call back. So, we will buy from another company....
This particular company have 100's of negative reviews and yet state...we have a good rating, da da da. They get creative with words to justify otherwise and spin it. Talked to 3 people who submitted claims and all 3....the company paid less money and didn't approve certain items even though the breakdown was related. You must remember; the claims representative.... number one job is to look for a denial reason....not approve. All insurance companies....look for a reason to deny the claim vs approval.

The warranty that Sky lane Auto Source…

The warranty that Sky lane Auto Source LLC gave me was them . They take awhile to get approve and they do not cover some or most of the thing you are needing . They do not answer calls or question . They click you over to claims where you stay on the Phone for 30 min or hrs. and you still do not get anybody . The only time you get somebody when you cancel the Warranty . It will be days or week before you actually get your car or truck repairs . Find a better warranty company this is not it .

Absolutely terrible company

Service Advisor here:
-Can’t get a hold of ANYONE. Leaving voicemails does nothing. The policy holder has been having to call to get anyone to call me back regarding their claim.
-They tell me one thing then go and tell the policy holder another.
-I have had to share all invoices as well as communication between myself and CPP with the policy holder to ensure proper transparency because of the discrepancies between what they tell me and what they tell her.
-They don’t honor the contract my shop has with them.
-They put as much cost as possible on the customer.

I will NEVER recommend this warranty to any customer. They are a nightmare.

Warranty doesn't stand behind it's word or coverage

Review based on our experience Claim: #CL12256304 November 2025. We purchased a vehicle from Premier Pickups along with a platinum extended warranty through C.A.R.S. Protection Plus at 105,595 miles. Shortly after the purchase, a warning light came on. We followed the instructions and contacted the warranty company. We took the vehicle to the first mechanic, but they wouldn’t work with the warranty provider, so we had to move to a second shop.
When the warranty adjuster finally reviewed the claim, it was denied due to a supposed “pre‑existing condition.” According to Tom, Claim Adjuster II, the issue was documented at 99,893 miles—well before our purchase, and something we were never informed about.
Because the truck was essentially in the shop from the time we bought it, we spent nearly three months fighting this. In the end, we had to pay $8,400 out of pocket, and the warranty company/dealership reimbursed only $4,000 “in good faith.” That still left us paying $5,000 for a platinum warranty that didn’t protect us, plus $4,000 in repairs that should have been covered.
The dealership sold us a vehicle and a warranty that promised 3 years of unlimited mileage coverage, yet neither stood behind their word. We were left with unnecessary stress, delays, and thousands in unexpected expenses.

Would leave a negative star if I could

Would leave a negative star if I could. I purchased the level 4 which in their contract of schedule coverages "All of Your Vehicle's factory-equipped original mechanical and electrical parts"

Took my Vehicle to the Audi Dealership (the only place that honor their warranty) to get my AC fixed. Out of a $4250 bill they offered to pay $780 and they said they would only pay for one part from O'Reilly not OEM.

Took them 2 weeks to basically tell me yeah we don't like to pay for claims.

CROOKS!!!…

Don't waste your money with these crooks. My brother is dealing with Carr's on a vehicle he purchased, and they aren't doing anything and refused to take care of their end of the deal. The vehicle was purchased December 20 2025, and was driven less than 600 miles. The warranty is still valid.
They took the money and refuse to do their part. In my opinion they are a company that commits FRAUD!!! Avoid these crooks. Stay away.
They should be out of business!

The worst thing you can ever do is buy this warranty. They will keep you on hold for hours then ask you a million questions and keep you under review for weeks only to end up not getting the service you paid for. Liars. Thieves scammers.

NEVER GET THEM!!!!

I paid $3,000 for the car's Protection Plus warranty for my used jeep, which the dealer had recommended to go with this based on the mileage. I had the value Protection Plus warranty. They are awful! They really don't cover anything. My brake lines completely were shot which caused my calipers to seize which then cause that to damage my rotors and pads. Out of a $1,700 job, they are paying $177. At the same time, I have a valve cover gasket leak and an oil coolant pump leak and they are not paying any of it. I didn't read the fine print on the contract from the dealer before I paid for it, so I guess part of it is my fault. I contacted them on the phone about this and having a cupboard warranty part damage and uncovered part and they pretty much told me to screw myself, I paid for the warranty and I'm getting what I paid for, then hung up on me. This is the worst Warranty company I have ever had in 39 years of driving! If you want a good warranty, look at fidelity. I have them covering my diesel truck, and they are phenomenal!

Bought this warranty for my BMW M550i

Bought this warranty for my BMW M550i. 3 months after purchase, all my coolant hoses were leaking and needed replacing. Warranty covered everything, besides from the tax of the bill and a few small cheap bolt/parts. Very happy. Instead of paying $2000 for the repair I paid $400

scammers! Don’t Waste Your Money!

Six months into getting this car, I’m having a timing chain/cam shaft issue that’s costing almost $1600 for me to fix after the CARS warranty protection plan sold to us by this dealership. I’m beyond disappointed and sad. I just changed all the brake pads and rotors, did a tune up, oil change, and have had to change the headlight bulbs on both sides twice! Clearly we regularly maintained this car so we shouldn’t be experiencing issues this costly this early on.

More context on the extended warranty: They do not cover OEM parts and will only cover $70 in labor (way under the hourly for any shop). Paid almost $1700 for that coverage. If you need to get a job done on your car and you choose that protection plan, plan to spend equally if not more than that! Otherwise you run the risk of letting some mechanic pull your car apart and cause more damage to it.

They're the worst warranty company…

They're the worst warranty company ever. I haven't had my car over 2 months and they give you the run around to not get your car fixed. They tell you your car have to be at the shop for over a week just for it get diagnosed. Then they tell you you can't get your money back after 30 days for 6 months. I paid over a 1000 for 6 months of warranty and I can't get my money back. We'll see.

Awful

Awful! They do everything they can in order to get out of paying. Contract allows this. It took 5 months to get my repair approved. The shop showed them the broken valve with a camera, they sent a representative to confirm which he did, and they said I would need to pay to take engine apart to repair which I did. They hole process to 4 months and we were without a car the entire time bc the rental policy is such a small percentage it ends up only covering a couple days out the months repairs. They are utterly the worst company I have ever dealt with. I did get it finally approved and they only covered 70 percent of repair. Most people would have gave up with is what they want but I persisted. DO NOT BUY

ZERO is my score for this horrendous…

ZERO is my score for this horrendous SCAM of a company! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM...EVEN if you get a FREE warranty from a dealer DON'T accept it without the dealer doing a full diagnostic on the car BEFORE purchasing! for 6 months I've been trying to get my transmission covered and it has been a complete nightmare!

Car Protection Plus Are Thieves

Car Protection Plus Are Thieves – Stay Away

I strongly caution anyone considering Car Protection Plus. I paid $5,000 for their top-tier protection plan, believing it would give me peace of mind. After just two months of owning my truck, I faced over $10,000 in repair costs. Their warranty only covered $2,600, leaving me with the majority of the bill.

The claims adjuster worked hard to get out of covering anything, and the entire process felt like a scam. On top of that, customer service is terrible—agents answer the phone only to transfer you to the claims department, where you’re left on indefinite hold listening to elevator music.

This company are thieves. In my experience, they provide little real protection and add unnecessary stress. Do not waste your money with Car Protection Plus.

Terrible warranty company scam

Terrible warranty company scam
We just bought the car in July 2025 and the warranty said it would cover a oil leak but claim was denied. Only had car one week and turned in claim and cars protection plus denied it. They are scammers. We paid 3,995.00 for warranty and got cheated. I filed a report with BBB.
