Should be a 3.5 but erring on side of generosity.

Positives:
The dresses and leggings are absolutely lovely. The designs are fabulous for pop culture references, retro, horror and unusual themes. The fabric is beautifully peach skin soft and very stretchy.
There are many styles available to suit most tastes and designs are often available in various styles, not just the one, so everyone has a chance of getting something they love.

Negatives: However, quality control/ finishing on clothing is not always great. I've had missing belt loops, pockets almost fully sewn up or waist bands only half finished with sections not stitched to bodice.
Prices have risen with lots of items over the past few months (but where hasn't?!) but most companies would negate this by giving free postage over a certain amount, CDR don't sadly and often don't pay enough postage on items posted out so the reciever has to pay extra on top to even get the parcel!
Customer service is pretty poor too. Lots of customers complain about this and it's very true. Emails or messages are either unanswered or replied to incredibly slowly and late, are curt, rude and unhelpful or just cut off as if they are bored with dealing with you.
Most companies would also email if a purchased item was out of stock with offers to replace or refund, but nothing happens with CDR. You'll recieve a parcel with half the goods ordered with zero explanation and items just crossed out on the delivery note or just be refunded with absolutely no information or e mails.
Special offers such as "3 for 2" or "Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price", often seem like "come on's" to buy items as when parcels arrive the free or half price item is no where to be seen, with again a refund with zero explanation. So it's basically pay full price and get nothing else, which seems a con to be honest when promotions are put in place to entice customers to buy more.
The Facebook page is great at advertising new items and has a good community, but preorders again can take literally months- Valentines themed dresses arriving in April for instance.
Although the owner often takes to the Facebook page to try to explain things or do "poor me" posts to try to excuse poor service, they obviously do not read or spell check things before posting as they are mainly very poor, often illegible ramblings. A good social media team could sort this, or even just an admin who knows how punctuation and capital letters work, but it often seem more like it's a hobby run business rather than anything professional.

Overall: I will still buy from CDR as I love the out of the ordinary dresses and fabulous leggings and the fact they fit so beautifully, but less so than previously due to the price rises and slight wariness of whether I'll actually recieve them.

Nice products, did struggle initially when they changed the sizings but got over that in time and like the variation in prints. I sometimes find it confusing over how some things are preordered on Facebook, and would like this to be a little clearer. My only issue has been returns and refunds. I’ve had to chase refunds up both times and it took some weeks, which is a bit frustrating as time consuming.

Amazing clothes with amazing quality and designs for everyone

Dresses are great if you can get them but often preorders aren't fulfilled or items are out of stock and then good luck getting your money back. The owner who is the only customer service person says she prefers Facebook messenger but also has an email doesn't respond or if she does she will say the preorder is pushed back or says you will get a refund and then stops responding when neither of those things happen. Now the owner is doing giveaways on the brands Facebook page to get people to write good reviews instead of actually trying to solve the problem.

Long time customer here of many years, I own over 40 pairs of their leggings, fantastic quality, range and longevity. Occasionally there's been a hiccup on dispatch but I've always found the customer service to be spot on with any problems sorting quickly with good communication.

I love Carolina Dress room so much since finding them a few years back. They have given me confidence to wear dresses after 30 odd years and the clothes themselves are just wonderful!

Long term very happy customer. The clothes are beautiful, very well made, the fabrics are so soft that an autistic person like me actually finds them a pleasure to wear and no neck tags! The prices are very reasonable and there are often sales and live online events to get even better deals. The employees and owner have often gone out of their way to help. I recommend them to everyone I know and to other neurodivergent people all the time. Even with my limited income I have quite a collection now. I love CDR. I would give them the highest rating possible.

I have got to the stage where I only wear CDR clothes. I love the prints, the styles, the comfortable material and the fact that the dresses have pockets is the icing on the cake! Definitely recommend this company

The products they sell are amazing. However, the customer service is very poor.
I have made multiple purchases over the years and have had occasions where I have been overcharged or items have not been as described. I have never had these issues resolved.
It's also not uncommon to see people requesting support in Facebook comments when direct communications have not been responded to.

Love the leggings and Capris from Carolina Dress Room! They are so comfy, keep their shape for ever and so many fab patterns to choose from. They are so bright and cheerful. I love the shape of the dresses and they look fab on people. Can’t fault them!

Love the dresses and kids dresses. They are extremely comfortable and stretchy. Great styles and prints. The only problem that I do have is that if an item isn’t delivered because it’s out of stock then a refund isn’t automatically issued, you have to chase it on Facebook messenger which can be a pain.

Quick delivery and great customer service. Dresses are amazing quality with stunning prints and so are the leggings.

Amazing dresses, so much choice, lovely quality and not what you can get on the high street. Great for me as I have sensory issues so need soft, stretchy forgiving fabric and love that they are fun!
I’ve never had an issue with customer service. The only time I did need to contact them, they replied that day and then I realised it was me that had made a mistake, not them! But they were quick to respond anyway so I was impressed.

I took a break from this company a few years back as the customer service, shipping had some major issues but I’ve recently replaced my entire wardrobe with this brand and I love every item. They are actively trying to better their relations with customers and improve their communication. This is a very small business with only a couple of staff who deal with daily shipping, orders etc. just the fact they are asking how they can improve says a lot! As most companies don’t care. Seeing how hard the staff work (during live Facebook sales) has completely changed my previous opinions on the business. I will continue to support them and buy their amazing products for myself and my girls. They are completely size inclusive ranging from size 6 all the way to size 32! The clothes are well thought out and are perfect for people with disabilities like autism etc as the fabric is soft and many of them don’t have seams so don’t cause irritation. Did I mention most items have POCKETS! Because they have pockets, big deep pockets I can fit all my snacks in! even the kids clothes have pockets

I have loved or liked all the dresses I have received. Any problems have dealt with promptly and with courtesy.

Fantastic products from a fantastic company. I have spent hundreds with this CDR the past few years. My literal wardrobe is solely their leggings and dresses. 100% recommend to anyone thinking of buying. Please ignore the bad reviews. Sometimes shipping can take a while but that’s usually pre-orders.

Everything I’ve bought has been lovely and good quality I’ve never been disappointed with anything and reasonably priced

I have bought many beautiful dresses and leggings from this company. Beautiful designs. Soft, comfortable material and best of all, pockets!
However I've only given 4 stars as customer service does need to be looked into as it can be very difficult to get answers when any issues arise.
