halo hand held vacuum…

We bought a halo hand held vacuum cleaner in July 2024. The battery started to fail, only lasting 10-15 minutes, after 6 months.
I contacted halo, who replaced the battery without hesitation. The replacement arrived in less than 1 week after the initial contact.
Full marks for customer service!

This vacuum is extremely good.

The vacuum is the best cordless I've had, in fact it's better than my corded Shark. My Shark couldn't cope with my new cats fine hair and constant shedding clumps of it. The Halo Capsule X picks it up in one pass. It's so darn easy to grab off the wall holder and it's very powerful and I have four cats and I like my home clean. I like the bags too as what I couldn't be bothered with was constantly battering the filters outside to clean them and wash them with a bagless vac. Big tip here---prolong the life & cost of a bag by emptying it with a pair of small bamboo toast tongs and refill 2-3 times. Although small, the bags don't fill over-quick like you'd expect. The accessories are all very good, having two batteries is perfect but you don't need two, one last's ages and they charge fairly quickly. My order was dispatched in good time but as usual, the awful courier known as Evri let Halo down but that's not their fault--they should use Royal Mail who are the best carriers around in my view. You'll be pleased with this cleaner, it's very very good. I've had no reason to contact customer service so can't comment.

Not great

Bought a halo capsule x a year ago, it’s my first cordless and while it’s much easier to use than a corded vacuum, I think they’re a bit rubbish really. The lowest suction setting does next to nothing, and the higher suctions while a little more effective still pale in comparison to my old Miele for clearing dirt, and drinks the battery in moments well before I’ve finished hoovering the house. I’m always going over sections 2/3 times no matter which head or rotary setting I use. I’ll probably drag it out for another year just so I haven’t spent £250 for a year’s worth of hoovering but think it’ll my first and last cordless.

Halo good but delivery issues

Well, what to say? Ordered Halo capsule 15 days ago, no sign. Customer services said pretty busy and delivery partners can’t cope with sales demand. We chose to cancel (accepted) and bought a Shark replacement. Hey presto, Halo delivered within 2 days! So / just complain repeatedly re delivery issues (also no flexible hose included as per invoice). That said, it’s an impressive bit of kit let down by delivery problems. Message to Halo / simply don’t promise what you can’t deliver …

Ludicrous company- Needs to improve how it treats its customers

Further to my previous one star review; having called customer services and cancelled my order as it had not been despatched and I was fed up waiting, I received a confirmation email to say that the order was cancelled and I would receive a refund in 3 - 5 working days. BUT, trust Halo to c*ck this simple task up! Guess what? I have just received a Halo Capsule today having already ordered a Miele vacuum from elsewhere. Can you believe that I am now being told that Halo cannot pick their machine up for another 8 days and I have to stay in to hand it over. Or, wait for it...they can generate a Royal Mail returns label for me to take it to a post office but they cannot do that for another 8 days or their system will implode. I asked to speak to a supervisor but, obviously, one isn't available to speak to me and will call me sometime later today or tomorrow...! Not surprising that I am at the doctors tomorrow with high blood pressure. I am now nearly £600 out of pocket. This company is ludicrous. DO NOT USE THEM. You have been warned.
Update:
At last, an enterprising person with some nous sent me an Evri return label the next day despite the CS man telling me that there was no way I would get one until 19th Feb! Then a day later, I had an email saying that my money had been refunded!!! Why does one have to go through hours of arguing with incalcitrant customer services people and write a stinking review to get any reasonable and timely action? I have added a star but wish it had been a really good experience and I was giving Halo 5 stars.

Ordered on the basis of glowing reviews…

Ordered on the basis of glowing reviews and a 7 day delivery as advertised, unfortunately not true. I should have read all the Trust Pilot reviews first. Ordered on 27th Jan. money taken from PayPal on the 30th. email received on the 5th Feb apologising for the delay but no advice of when likely to be delivered. I presume the company don't know either.

Rubbish customer service

Oh. Wish I’d seen the trustpilot reviews before I ordered.
Just the worst customer service.
My vacuum was delivered and left behind a bin outside. I didn’t see it. Hadn’t even been informed it was out for delivery. The box is battered and the contents aren’t packed properly. Halo customer service couldn’t care less. They have said they’ll pass my feedback on to FedEx.
I have explained it’s not feedback but a complaint and that I am their customer, not FedEx’s.
I might have been prepared to take a replacement vacuum instead of this battered one, but the idea of having to deal with this shoddy customer service if something goes wrong in the future means it’s not worth my time, effort or money.
I wonder if the vacuum is any good? Doesn’t matter if you have to deal with idiots to find out.
What a shame!

Not dificult to do better with aftersales.

Original unit lasted 4 years, but used only once a month at private holiday home. Contacted Halo to repair but; Spares no longer available, please buy an 'upgraded' model, and offered a good discount code to ease the pain. I noted and advised the 'upgrade' (from pictures) seemed to have the same part the failed unit but I'm told it has been beefed up, so yes, I'll place the order. Unfortunately the discount code gave a much smaller discount. than they promised so I rang and they accepted the error and placed order correctly.
yesterday, I had an email saying the complete unit was also out of stock, so now I have a failed unit, am out of pocket, and have no idea when the new unit is due.
should be a one star, but have to say the people are pleasant to talk to and are trying so a star for that.

Received a faulty Halo

Received a faulty Halo, returned after two days. The faulty product has been received by them. All I would like is my refund as is their statutory duty. I have fulfilled all my obligations. I paid via PayPal, so have filed a case. At this point, Halo as not responded to PayPal either. I'm not the only one. Trustpilot has lots of similar reviews. Wish someone had warned me!

Avoid!

Avoid!
My machine is under five years old and has failed. I am shocked to be told that there is no repair service available - so another barely used piece of equipment will have to be consigned to landfill. This is such a dreadful waste of resources! And poor quality too - I have a 30yr old Henry and a 20yr old Dyson handheld, both of which are still going strong and for which parts have been available.

The customer service team was fantastic…

The customer service team was fantastic and didn’t even complain when I asked a stupid question that I didn’t know because I hadn’t read the manual!

The delivery was incredibly quick - less than 48 hours from order to delivery.

So far it’s been excellent at clearing up the never-ending flurry of dog hair in your house!

Nothing wrong with the appliance which is more than can be said for their abysmal customer service.
Still waiting for an order placed on 11th Dec. No contact from them re non delivery until I last week phoned them to be told some item out of stock. No apology or reason for not sending what was in stock or any idea when order will be fulfilled. e mailed again to today got non commital reply. Unfortunately nowhere else to get their spares. AVOID

I was interested in buying a new hoover…

I was interested in buying a new hoover and in a very flooded market I was unsure which brand to go with. As an autistic person phonecalls and going to stores can be problematic. Your customer service agent, Nay, who was replying to my emails was very understanding and helpful and has helped be decide which product to buy.

Delaying refund beyond all reasonable expectation

I returned my Halo Capsule on 29th November 24. It wasn't suitable for a small woman with arthritis - extremely top heavy and strained my back immediately.
When my statement arrived at the beginning of January I could see that I had not been refunded 5 weeks after returning it. I sent proof of the return and was told that the refund was being actioned on 6th January. 9 days later still no refund. There's something wrong with this company and I wouldn't advise buying from them. I'm 75 on a limited income and I don't need this kind of stress.

Highly recommend

I have had an original capsule for four years and have always been happy. Recently l knock it over and broke the clip holding it together.
I contacted customer service via email and received a reply the next day, with options available to me. I decided a new capsule was right for me.
I'm very pleased with my new capsule and with the speedy and very helpful service from customer service.
Would definitely recommend

The worst customer service experience…

The worst customer service experience ever in the course of appliance history. I ordered the Halo Capsule and they advertised it would be delivered in four days. Two weeks later no sign of it. I rang every day. I got told we have a backlog (not my problem). My hpuse a filthy mess as my previous vax broke. I rang and cancelled it then on the same day despite me phoning them to ask for a refund they despatched it. I then had to wait in to decline the delivery. After that despite my decline they wanted to dispatch it the following day. I had to wait kn again! After a terse call to their customer service call they eventually refunded my money. In the mean time I had to borrow money to buy an alternative. They offered nothing for the huge messing around. I bought a Hetty Vax and I'm really happy with it. I'm glad I didn't purchase from Halo. Never again. My advice....don't bother. When you ring their customer service centre your put in a queue a bit like inland revenue ..waiting an hour on the phone to speak to someone. Then your fobbed off by someone who has one brain cell! Leave well alone!!!!!
