Canon TS3355 Pixma

Canon TS3355 Pixma. Very cheap 30 something quid (GBP). Printed straight away without using app as the shop had set it up for me in shop. Had it for about 2 years.Only needed it for travel docs in case smartphone let me down. Just tried to print a year later and it was problematic using different connection procedures as there are so many ways according to website and apps. After several hours managed to print but ink was low so had to discard.Replaced ink today which cost £56! - Almost double the price of the printer! - but then couldn’t connect to wifi. In the end just used it to photocopy papers and sent them off. Nitemare!
These devices these days have so many functions but can’t do the basic print job of documents. Throw in dustbin and just go to a print centre. Hardly ever print anyway. Why are the government so far behind everyone else? Very few people print these days anyway as everything is online. Where’s my sledgehammer?!

Months of Delays, Zero Resolution, and No Refund – Extremely Disappointing Experience

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with the Canon Online Store has been so troubling that I feel obligated to warn other customers.

I ordered a Canon EOS 4000D bundle in July 2025. The package arrived damaged, and the main item was missing. I immediately provided all evidence: photos, videos, tracking information, and every document Canon requested.

Instead of receiving a solution, I was pushed back and forth between Canon Support, the Canon Store, UPS, and DP World for months. Every department claimed another one was responsible. Meanwhile:

Canon insisted UPS had to investigate.

UPS said only Canon (as the shipping contract partner) could start the investigation.

DHL later confirmed that my return shipment was successfully delivered to Canon on August 27th.

Canon repeatedly told me they were “waiting for an internal update” — for over three months.

My PayPal case was closed incorrectly because Canon did not initiate the required investigation.

I was promised a refund multiple times, yet nothing has happened to this day.

I have never experienced such a lack of accountability, internal communication, or customer care from a major brand. All required evidence was provided, the return was delivered, and still no refund, no replacement, and no final response.

I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before ordering from the Canon Online Store. If something goes wrong with your order, you may be left completely on your own — even with full documentation and legally valid proof.

This experience has been extremely frustrating, time-consuming, and deeply disappointing.

Disappointed

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with Canon printers. At first, everything worked fine, but after a relatively short time problems started appearing. Error messages come up often, the printer refuses to recognize cartridges, and Wi-Fi connection is unreliable.

What makes it worse is that the cost of repairing the printer is almost the same as buying a new one, which feels unreasonable. The ink is also expensive and doesn’t last long, making the overall value quite poor.

I expected more reliability and durability from a brand like Canon.

They can just offer you 20% discount as apologies 😕

Hoop jumping is a skill you need to deal with Company…

A TS3355 was bought in February 2025 since which time I have found it to be almost impossible to use.
Now 5 month later it no longer functions at all so was returned to Canon EMEA under warranty with proof of purchase. I am today sdvised they cannot proceed without further documents.
The warranty repair still not processed 22 Aug as they want to see the sales receipt now sent this despite sending all relevant documents when the printer was returned to them. I will certainly not be recommending there products in a hurryl. I await the next hoop thro which I will be asked to jump.

20 years ago they made good printers

20 years ago they made good printers. Now the software is so complex I cant even do basic functions even askimg ChatGpt how to do it. Totally insane that 20 years ago the products had much better software and the ink lasted 5 times longer. Try scanning multiple pages into one document! I have spent 2 hours so far and even chatGPT can't do it let alone a normal human being.

how can you développe a printer with…

how can you développe a printer with only thinking about wirelessly use. The printer has a USB connector, but you cannot us it for scanning, only for printing. So, for scanning you need access to network. Great. Not everyone is living in Japan, with internet access everywhere.
So please, try to think of the hundreds of others users please.
I chatted with someone from Canon and he suggested me to get a special app (with subscription 3.99 USD per month), not from canon, to be able to use the scanner with USB. Seriously ???

Ableism, Misleading Advertising and Poor Customer Service from Canon

Canon's website is difficult to navigate and the discount promised in their e-mail did not materialise.
.
Unable to contact Canon's customer services, this lack of advertised discount was raised as a complaint with the Advertising Standards Agency who investigated and upheld my complaint on 29th July 2025
.
Canon's chosen courier did not use the intercom (as clearly requested in my delivery address) and ignored the disabled household sign (I was at home).
.
Instead, Canon's courier left my parcel with the household recycling put out for collection that morning.
.
It was the vigilance of the Household Recycling Collection Staff who realised the parcel wasn't recycling and buzzed my intercom.
.
Cannon solicited my feedback but chose not to let me submit it.
.
Once again, I could not contact Canon's customer services before posting this review.
.
Sadly 1 is the lowest score that can be given.
.
I would NOT buy a replacement printer from Canon again and will not be responding further to Canon

Piece of crap

I bought a canon Ts8750 printer, the printer when directly connected to the pc works fine, but try to use it on WiFi is absolute garbage, it won't work using from my phone neither will it work on my PC if cables removed.
I had a canon pixma mg7752 which was an amazing printer, worked ever time from PC or smartphone on WiFi, for some reason I used it one morning, excellent, then when I got home from work I tried to print an invoice off & the screen said 'Printer error 203 contact an authorised dealer' no one could repair it i contacted Canon UK & was told they don't do updates for that printer anymore,
There was nothing wrong with this printer, it worked every time without fault, I have now come to the conclusion Canon has sent out a signal to shut these printers down so you have to buy a new one that is in date. I have wasted £120 as this thing is a pile of scrap, going to check out another brand as this ts8750 is going in the bin, shame on you Canon.

Rubbish

I had a brand new Canon Pixma TS3451 printer and it has been absolute junk. It would only print occasionally and sometimes nothing at all. I had contacted support to no avail. I am looking forward to taking this machine to the dump and throwing it in a skip. Why is it not possible for a printer to be dependable and consistently print?

Canon TS3451 or TS3400 or K10514 printer !?

Bought TS3451 printer christmas time-ish. Set it up via android phone app. It was unnecessarily hard & confusing process. While setting it up -instructions would appear & then disappeared off screen, without giving you a chance to read it, some literally just blinked- & there is no app to install on/for chromebook. When you go to add printer to your chromebook, in chromebook settings, & it asks you for the name of the printer & address. Address? Turns out the TS3451 is not the name of the printer, despite the canon website & manual telling you that it is, sometimes its name is TS3400. Which appeared on screen, if you were quick enough to see it, while you attempted to set it up. Finding 'address' is another merry-go-round journey. Printing setting up info from the printer was, once again unnecessarily difficult & confusing, & it turns out - it had no information needed to add it to chromebook etc. I have no clue how I eventually got it connected! After printing the documents, scanning it etc. for a 4-5 months on & off, we just put it on last week & all settings & connection to our wifi appears to got deleted, lost. We haven't been able to connect it or use it since. Seems to me a problem is at the point when printer overtakes, & switches off your wifi, there is no tick box or any instructions or pathway to allow printer to connect to your wifi & then for you to reconnect to your wifi, without losing printers connection to it. So there you are. Most buttons on the printer - absolutely useless, as is printed "info", as is the app on a tiny phone, where I don't want it, no info on the purpose of the buttons on the printer, & no app for chromebook. Had to throw away a perfectly good, just 7 month old printer, because connecting it is so bizarrely complicated & short lived.

I bought a canon MG3600 today

I bought a canon MG3600 today! But it refused to work. They called me and set up a remote guy by phone…. He took over my Mac computer and said I need to buy a system to protect my laptop. M6 lap top is still under warranty with Apple and only 3 months old.
He called me again and again. I have still not linked my bank to my apple mac. Thank goodness.!
It is a total scam! I’ll never buy again. I am returning to Argus tomorrow morning! Trying to get my money back . Total scam! Please be aware! Stay safe!

Poor quality

I’ve used four different printers over the past two years, and the experience has been consistently frustrating. They work fine for a few weeks or months, but sooner or later, something always goes wrong — paper jams, connection issues, poor print quality — and I end up going to the library just to get something printed.

The quality of these home printers is often so bad, I wouldn’t be surprised if a random device from Temu performed better. Sure, higher-end models might offer better reliability, but if you’re considering one of those low-cost printers, think twice. It’s often more trouble than it’s worth.

Appallingly inefficient service support

Printer worked ok for a while. Printheads started to deteriorate. In touch with Service department. After several exchanges agreed replacement print heads. Still waiting. No printer for two weeks. Appalling service. Why did I switch to Canon?
