Another 1 star review purely because Canon customer service is so appalling. I’m trying (still) to get a refund on returned inkjet cartridges they received weeks ago. I’ve lost count of the number of calls I’ve made and the lies I have been told about when I will receive my refund. Avoid Canon at all costs. They couldn’t care less about their customers.

Sometime in June my wireless Canon P5060 Printer, started malfunctioning. I complained to Canon. They repaired it about four times, between August, September, October.
They eventually sent me a brand new Maxify GX 3050 Printer. The new printer has been functioning pretty well.

Ordered a Scanner on the 29th of…
Ordered a Scanner on the 29th of November spent all day trying to cancel the order today. I was advised at 8:10 in the morning that order still awaiting dispatch so they can cancel the order. Phoned again at midday and I was assured this will escalated to stop the order getting dispatched. This evening received an Email stating order has now been dispatched! No wonder Canon has such bad reviews, they should be ashamed if my experience is anything to go by.
CANON GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, we don't care how good your products are but if you fail your consumers with bad service I am for one will never buy another Canon product again!
Order not fulfilled and money taken.
I ordered a printer and despite the delivery stating it would be with me in 1-3 working days it’s yet to be dispatched. Customer services have failed on their promises and now say they can’t tell me what is happening with my order. They’ve taken my money in breach of the terms and conditions, despite not even knowing what is happening and have also told me I can’t cancel the order. I’m in a circle of death with them where my only option is to make a complaint and go legal. Money gone and no product. Absolutely appalling customer service who are either unwilling or incapable to resolve the issue.
Canon should not be allowed to trade direct with the public.
Faulty Camera took 3 weeks to refund . Avoid.
Bought a refurb Camera R6 which cost £1000 so not cheap, turned out to be faulty as soon as it was opened with a big line down all the images. Had no way been checked before being sent out. Then the hassle of trying to get my money back was terrible , constant excuses about the camera was still not received even though I had proof it was, then it was going through their system, 3 weeks later I finally got a refund. One of the people I spoke to in Canon Customer Services advised I would be able to set the camera to crop mode instead of full frame and the line down the side would not be seen then !!! My word I will not be using them again.
Just don’t believe next day delivery promises… think a week
Ordered camera based on promised next day delivery, 5 days before a holiday. Product dispatched via UPS 24 hours late. UPS failed to deliver and Canon customer service can do nothing to help.
Take the money but take no responsibility. No camera now for holiday. Next day means next week.
One star is too much
One star is too much. I ordered a set of inks for my Canon printer on the 28th July. The delivery notification came up as Tuesday 29th. excellent I thought. WRONG!. Waited all day for the delivery and then got a text from UPS the courier informing me they had delivered the package to a local shop. Not what I had requested. I contacted Canon immediately and was asked about an access code to the property. This is rubbish as it is a ground floor flat with its own front door. I got a promises to re-deliver but when UPS could get back to the store to collect it - no date. A week later still waiting for the date - I gave up and requested my money back. Still waiting for this. Then got a notification that the package had been returned and that I would get a refund once it was checked. Why am I waiting for a product check for something I never received! Then the kicker. Not only did I not receive what was ordered but I now have to wait for up to 30 days for my money. REALLY!
The customer service is non existent. I did receive a voucher code for a discount - but UPS would still be the courier- why would I put myself through this again. I won’t be.

I had a problem printing.
I had a problem with using a Canon printer a printing problem not the fault of the printer that the supplier could not solve, so I went to Canon support services, it's the best over the telephone help and support I have ever had. The gentleman who I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helped me no end, very patient. It was good to get a company that gives an over the telephone HELP, many companies now you can't even get an email address.
I would always recommend Canon products, I also have a Canon Camera which is also great and excellent photo's. Unfortunately I missed his name.
Cancelled Orders and Misleading Stock Listings
I ordered a Canon G7X Mark II after seeing it labelled as "In Stock," but now they’ve stopped shipping orders, claiming the camera is out of stock. Why would a company label a product as available, only to refuse to fulfill the remaining orders? It’s misleading and frustrating.
I’ve contacted Canon multiple times, but the only response they offer is, "Wait 15 days, and if it’s still out of stock your order will be automatically cancelled. Alternatively, you can cancel it yourself."
This is extremely disappointing. You pay for an expensive camera expecting reliable service, only to be told to cancel your own order or wait indefinitely. It's unacceptable customer service for a company like Canon.
Canon cancelled my order and not refunding me
On 21.12.24 ordered 2 cameras worth £1500 and on the 23.12.24 got the email saying both got cancelled without giving any reason why. The money has already left my account but Canon is claiming they did not receive the payment. Now I don’t have my cameras, nor my £1.5k! If you cancel an order, maybe refund the buyer immediately? Scum of a company. Never purchasing from them again.
Took my money and did not have the stock
Ordered a camera in the Black Friday sale and 2 weeks later it is still not in the warehouse. Each time I call, the first response from the call handler is "it will be delivered next week", this is before they find your order on the system.
I ended up cancelling the order and now I need to find a new one with one week to go before Christmas.
It was a really good price too but these days when people order something like a camera online, they expect it to be in stock and ready to ship.

Terrible service - well it is non-existent. No returns process - (you have to write to get a returns label) but no one ever replies!!). Tried phoning but no one able to help. Stayed on phone numerous occasions. Do NOT buy from the Canon site! Worse . AVOID

Absolute garbage customer service. £1750 camera left on a communal driveway, says "signature required" on the side. 10 minutes on hold, being transferred around departments, to then be cut off. Avoid like the plague!

Slow delivery but great price and product
Seems that quite a few reviewers have had a bad experience, but wanted to give an example of what I found to be a decent overall experience.
Delivery communications were a bit slower than expected, but item was received within 8 calendar days. Great camera which also came at a great price (bundle with body and two lenses).
