Honestly will never use again and will advise the same to anyone I know. I deliberately didn’t go with the cheapest quote because the initial consultation with Robert Hill was the most thorough of the three people I saw for our Woking move. It gave me the impression that paying more would get me a better service. I had two packers the day before and four on the day. Two more were allocated for the third day. The packers were friendly and worked hard, particularly Matt. Most of the things were overpacked to be honest and the amount of paper used was insane. However, there was clearly a rush on the morning of the moving day as I discovered later that really delicate bits of jewellery and make up in a drawer hadn’t been either secured or packed up separately. One earring each in five pairs has been lost in the move. The remainder was found in various other drawers as the cabinet had been tipped and moved around. To my mind, it was clearly a mistake given the care taken with the rest of my things but the way the office handled it afterwards I cannot forgive or tolerate. I was told first of all they couldn’t find them in their van but no apology offered or feedback from the guys having told me they’d speak to them. Then they told me they don’t pack drawer items separately. Then they suggested I should have packed ‘personal effects myself’ , something never discussed at the outset and not something I expected to do given the price I paid for packing. After delays in responding to me, they now say jewellery not covered on their insurance so nothing they can do. All just left a bad taste and the handling of it has been very poor. I'd be very wary of using them if this is how they treat customers after they’ve been paid and they have nothing to gain.

Pat and the team were excellent and we would highly recommend. We had some access issues at our previous address but the team managed to speed through and get everything moved in around 6 hours. Everything was handled with care and the price was very competitive. Thanks all!

I have moved house twice in the last five years, including dismantling the large family home of 50 years to move into a 3 bedroomed flat and then to a detached 4 bed house on remarriage. I supervised the dismantling of my new husband’s house of 40 years ~ including distributing furniture and machines amongst his children over 3 different counties. Bournes were recommended and proved to be far superior to the other two companies I had used. Efficient, flexible and very helpful, sorting what went where and travelling long distances to the various venues on the same day. They were punctual to the minute and coped with awkward accesses (including hauling furniture over neighbouring fences to gain access and tackling the fact that the only property access was a door 27” wide and some of the furniture had to be taken apart and reassembled. I give them 5 stars without any hesitation.

First things first. Don’t ever use this company! Morally and ethically they are bankrupt.

We used Bournes to move our household items from the UK to Oz. As part of this process we paid £200 extra to ‘create’ up our expensive bluestone outdoor table. This creating was the only additional product we purchased from them. In summary they ‘forgot’ to create said item and when it turned up in Oz wrapped in just paper (not even bubble wrap) it was broken in dozens of pieces…. Bournes response ‘sorry we forgot to create it & we will refund you the £200 and offer you £40 compensation’. This is a £3k table.

I am beyond rage with their morally bankrupt and blaze attitude.

Don’t use them, stay a million miles away from them.

Right from the quotation with Andy, the paperwork with Julia to the team pack and moving- the whole experience was amazing. The team worked very well when packing and when we were in the new property. The communication amongst the team and with ourselves was fantastic too. Nothing was too big of an ask. They were understanding with our cats needing to be locked away too.
If we were to move again, we would chose Bournes again. We highly recommend!!

The team are great. Very helpful and efficient. Took extra care to wrap delicate items and ensure they are safe. Great friendly service and diligent work practice. I would recommend Bournes as this is the easiest move I’ve made by far.

Julia in the office was excellent from start to finish…her tolerance and patience of my not infrequent phone calls was admirable! We had a couple of weeks between moving out of our old home and into the new one, so to have Scott on both legs was really helpful. No damage to either property and all our worldly goods intact. Extremely grateful to Bournes and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Bournes are a very professional company who handled our move expertly. I was particularly grateful that they could reserve our move date before we had exchanged contracts, after another local company let us down badly on this aspect.

I found the service from Bournes to be fantastic, and took a whole lot of worry about my recent move away.

The packing service was perfect (no damage/breakages), and the team doing my move were very respectful and careful of property, doorframes etc.

I would definitely recommend them, and would not hesitate to use them again - kudos to the entire team!

Highly recommend Bournes if you are moving house. They were professional from the very start. Every associate we interacted with were kind and professional. The team who helped us on moving day were beyond brilliant! So efficient, professional and ensured our belongings were kept safe and secure. Despite working a very long 12 hour day they remained in high spirits. We couldnt of moved house without them. Thank you so much again!

We have just moved to Europe. Cristina was great always keeping us updated and making sure that all paperwork was done correctly. The team worked really well packing our goods, they were really helpful both in the UK as well as in Germany. We have used them 3 times already highly recommend them....Bournes all the way

Absolutely, from start to finish, all staff were so pleasnat, respectful and helpful. They work so hard and not one complaint even when we asked for furniture to be moved to another room when we knew it wasn't right.
We have used Bournes for our long distance move and our 91 year old mother in the past 7 months. Both moves perfect. They looked after my precious piano without a hitch. Fantastic.

Brilliant moving company. Pat, Steve and Tommy were all amazing and couldn’t have been more accommodating especially as our move was during the pouring rain.

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish from phone call to coming out to measure how big a vehicle I needed to the two lovely gentleman that came and collected my home they were so hard working. My furniture was kept over night then night day they where at my new property waiting for me and keys they had cleaned out my garage while waiting once keys where given they absolutely was wonderful getting everything in garage in a order I could find what I need

I found them straightforward to deal with and the price quoted was clear and competitive. On the day of the move the Team turned up on time and the house was cleared quickly. The move into our new property was equally smooth. The team were polite and helpful. A few days after the move they came back to the new property promptly at my request to collect a very large number of boxes and packaging for reycling. All in all an excellent and professional service and I would be happy to use them again and to recommend them.

Rude and aggressive!

Bourne removals van blocking a road today, just a short manoeuvre would have allowed traffic through, but obviously this was too much trouble, one of the employees was rude, threatening and aggressive when asked to allow access.

Excellent work with the name of the employer on the front of the truck!
