Bought a Bosch universal rotak 650 in…
Bought a Bosch universal rotak 650 in sept 2019 , it broke down just before the guarantee ran out , Bosch replaced it with a brand new one of the same model last October. Now the motor has gone on this one , sent it back , now have just been told that even though it’s a brand new one it is only covered by the original guarantee on the first mower, it’s company policy apparently. What a joke I complained to be told someone will get back to me , of course they haven’t. I will not let this lie . Do not buy a Bosch mower if you have any sense. I will never buy any other Bosch product again .

Bosch mowers used to be well made, not now though, very poor quality, steer well clear!
Bosch Lawnmowers represent poor quality
Bosch Lawnmowers represent poor quality at the best.
I have had two that have both let me down due to poor build quality - it's not that they are cheap to buy.
I have had problems with the height adjustment and the on/off switches.
I have been caught twice now, but never again. They are just not good enough to do the job, so it's back to my 30 year old Mountfield that is in poor shape but still works after all these years.
Another reason not to buy is the lead length; it's far too short for anything more than a postage stamp
Bosch Rotak 37-14Ergo disappointing performance
Bought a Bosch Rotak 37-14Ergo last summer. Overall cuts reasonably well, except at the lowest setting (which is needed in summer with more frequent cutting) where the cut is patchy. The setting one longer than lowest is the best cut. However, the most frustrating feature is the very poor grass collection. The grass box only fills to the end closest to the mower & fills this very quickly but the remainder of the grass box is empty. The mower then leaves grass all over the cut area. The only solution is to recut the grass at a higher setting to "hoover up" the cuttings. Tedious at best!!
You have been warned!!
Disappointed With Bosch Garden Equipment
Bought the Bosch Rotak 37-14 Ergo at the end of last summer, my Qualcast rotary broke after many years of faithful service. It is awful, even on the top height and dry grass, it spits out more than it collects. So disappointed, wish I had taken it back straight away. Gutted I could not find a similar replacement for the Qualcast. This is after throwing out a Bosch strimmer as the spool kept falling out 😠
Reported a faulty battery
Reported a faulty battery for AdvancedRotek 36-850. Battery won't charge (36v 6.0ah), only 16 months old, less than a year of use.
Surprised by Bosch's poor product registration process!
Have just bought a Bosch Lawnmower - Advanced Rotak 750 Corded - quality seems OK and it works. However they claim you can extend the warranty to three years by registering online. When trying to do this I came across one of the most unfriendly sites I have experienced. These days you expect to be a ble to use a QR code etc to register your product but the site didn't recognise the QR code on the box or the name plate serial number. It also wouldn't accept my address as it asked for a number and street - hmmm what if your house has a name? well put simply and politely, which wasn't how I felt at the time, you have to just put a number in front of your house name!! I have send an email to Bosch re the registration issues (again put simply the site and app just said that they couldn't register my purchase as they could't recognixe the product) and included a photo of the name plate and the QR code on the box but after 4 working days they as yet haven't replied. Not impresssed at all!
Unprofessional and my only experience with Customer Services has put me off for life.
I think the bad reviews for Bosch are far too flattering.
I needed a spare, and after 6 months (yes, 6 months) of having one person saying the part was available, and the next saying it wasn't...
Eventually, I started to think more positively, when I was told they would replace the item. So, 6 months later, and the CEO won't assist, but ignores emails, and there has been no progress.
A disgraceful experience.
I used to buy Bosch as I thought they were a professional business. Now, I have been put off for life!
Update: As I was injured as a result of waiting for the replacement, which causes me constant pain and stops me doing many things I enjoy, Bosch still ignore emails, despite the next stage being legal action to recover all the costs - which could be done without the legal costs. I cannot comprehend the "logic".
In addition, trust doesn't exist, as when Bosch said it would replace the item, once I agreed, they said only after they had my item back - and the history is they seem to move the goalposts to prevent a solution.
I have bought 3 Bosch Rotak mowers - now crap
I have bought 3 Bosch Rotak mowers over the last 7-8 years which have been fantastic. my own was the first so has done 8 years service and been looked after and cleaned regularly - motor failed but had worked it hard so why not replace it with the latest one.
Well simply DON'T !!!!! - expensive piece of plastic cr*p!! Awkward to use, does not cut low enough for uk lawn - spews grass all over the place cutting and when removing the box. even has a sticker proclaiming 45cm cut on its side but blade is 44.3cm by my measure with 40 years experience as an engineer!!!!

I have had my Bosch Rotar 34 13 for 2 summers. The blade didn't last long at all.
Now the piece of crap has packed up altogether.
What a pile of dung.
Don't buy this rubbish make, made in China.
Total waste of your hard earned cash.
Be ashamed Bosch, be very ashamed.

Dont go there they are very poor quality. Shame because it could be good its just not built well.
36v Ergoflex mower - A light little lithium gem.
I bought the Bosch 36v LI Ergoflex having seen my step daughters in operation. It's light and there's no messing around with wires and the beauty is that the battery also fits some of Bosch's other 36v garden tools so a new set of hedge trimmers are on the way. I know that it's a modern plastic product but it seems as strong and well build as all the competitors and is no pricier.

Motor burnt out after 2 years
Obviously Bosch have lost their way it’s a shame i thought they were good, not anymore.. Really disappointed
Bosch easy cut corded grass trimmer
Bosch easy cut corded grass trimmer
I was attracted to this as the trimmer wire was semi - auto feed supposedly making my life a bit easier.
I think it should read fully self feed as it does not auto feed at all.
The strimmer wire snaps every two foot and is useless. Thinking it may be the strimmer wire that was included I purchased two different types of wire - but to no avail. Still the same. What a waste of money.
I would have expected more from a well known name like Bosch
The only good thing about it is with the handle down I can ram it in the recycling bin ready for Tuesday collection
No stars
I have just been given a new Rubbish Bosch lawnmower
I have just been given a new Bosch Lawnmower 37 -14 after eye surgery to get me going again in the garden. I opened the box and saw this machine was over £130, yes £130 for a lawnmower. It has unfortunately bypassed the quality control in the country it was made. The grass box is deeply stressed and discoloured and when I got in touch with Jan at Bosch I was told there were no grass boxes available, just go to Homebase for help. This quality control is awful and I am very disappointed with the quality of this product. German technology is worse than the Chinese. Bought loads of these products before but be aware my friends.
Purchased a Rotak 32 mower
Purchased a Rotak 32 mower, wanted another Bosch after owning a previous model for nearly 10 years.
Wanted the same/closest width cut for narrow paths.
1st use lost 2 pieces of plastic trim.....not functional fortunately, re fitted but they just fall off so in left off. Any grass over 5-6 cm bogs it down . It ltrims the top and flattens it so it just pops back up a few hours later because the front of the mower is so low it pushes the grass flat before the blade (very lightweight in comparison) can cut it. The only way round this is to mow twice a week at different hights. The lowest hight is double the hight of our old Bosh.
Wish I had never bothered. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. Old Bosh were SO much better all round. Includes my drill and angle grinder.
GIVE BOSCH THE COSH!
Bought a BOSCH strimmer and tried to register it for guarantee. Fine if you have a spare 30 mins to go online, make 2 separate registrations, google to get a phone number for them only to be given another number. Finally get cut off when you complain. Oh and no option when phoning to make a complaint.
The product gives NO info inside or on a leaflet, no info of how to register for the 3 year guarantee (like the appropriate web page), no phone numbers, nor mentions that you already have a two year one if you keep the purchase receipt.
Customer service – I think not!!
PS. Phoned back and asked to complain to a manager. Told they would phone me back – you guessed it – after 9 days SILENCE!
I requested a replacement part for my…
I requested a replacement part for my power cleaner under warranty on 23/03/21 I have now sent 6 emails and still the part has not arrived. Very poor service will certainly think of returning to Karcher on my next purchase.
Spoke to a lady last week who gave me a reference number and told me 5 days but still bill as yet.
No customer service
I have a Bosch Rotak 320c lawnmower and the blade has seen better days. It’s a great little mower that’s quite light so I can carry it up and down my steps with one hand and the extension cord in the other. I thought I’d treat the mower to an original part, only four quid more than a copy so I thought why not. Wrong. Tried several times to order it online for the past couple of days but the screen wouldn’t and still doesn’t accept my home town! Just rung Bosch themselves and they don’t accept telephone orders! Really?!!! I told the lady on the phone of my problem trying to order it and she suggested open another screen and she’d tell IT. So I’ve just ordered the non original one off espares. Should’ve bought it off them originally. Such a dream to order. I’ve ordered other parts for my cooker hood and oven in the past off them and they always fit and work. Well done to espares. Shame on you Bosch.
It would have been zero but we're not allowed.
It would have been zero but we're not allowed. Bosch used to be a trusted name/brand, not any more, never ever buy Bosch. My 84 yr old Mother bought a Rotek 36LI cordless law mower about 18 months ago. The battery doesn't stay in the holder so it cuts out all the time. I contacted their "Customer service", without a receipt they weren't interested in warranty and directed me to their website to sort out a repair. After filling in e-mails requesting a repair, they e-mailed back telling me to call them. I called them and they said they don't offer a repair as they may not be able to get parts or it's not economical to repair it (isn't that a decision for the customer?). Note me doing all the running! I am going to try a local repair man to see if he can fix it other wise she will have to bin her nearly £400 lawnmower. Don't touch Bosch there are plenty of others who will treat you properly.
