Beware if you go anywhere near this company cause you don't know if they'll send you an honest and decent tradesperson. The supposed locksmith that turned up barely looked at the door before telling me I'd need a new door. When I told him the key wouldn't turn and it's the lock itself (he hadn't asked me what was happening to the door) he did unscrew the mechanism bending the rails as he did this then he first told me it would cost £400, when I questioned this he told me it was an old door and parts were not available, when I suggested a replacement door gearbox was available for around £40 he packed his bits up and left, it was as if he'd been caught out. I've just purchased a replacement lock backset for £34.

1 star is generous. Company charged us 5 times the cost of a regular repair for a upvc door gear £510. They have ignored my request to email an Invoice so wil be contacting HMRC as it is illegal not to send a vat Invoice. Due to the urgency of the situation of not being able to lock the front door I consider their charge to be extortion. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.
This companies website has an s on the end of locksmith. The job was genuine and carried out 17/10/23 in the RG24 postcode area. The company registration no. is 14081706 Finchley road NW11 7TH Local Locksmith services Ltd Head office on website is Kemp House, 152-160 city road, EC1V 2NX.. What a very unprofessional response from you. I am indicating that trustpilot is associating your company with book a locallocksmithS. Their website has an S on the end but trustpilot ignores this. Surely you understand what I am describing or do I need to explain in one syllable words.

Emailed a pic of the lock we needed replaced in advance and was told a similar model would cost £115. Guy came, removed the lock, and showed replacement options, the cheapest of which was £389. Kind of a huge difference there and felt forced to pay it. Only giving two stars because the guy doing the work was punctual and professional.

Searched locksmith for daughters first flat. Spoke to office who advise that they can get locksmiths to a property in 30 mins. Upon being stupidly convinced that this was the company to go with, apt was booked for a couple of days time at 1pm. Afternoon booked off and nobody showed. Received messages saying delayed with other jobs. (Didn’t expect delays to exceed 6 hours for a lunchtime booking) Cancelled call, as communication very poor and excuses unacceptable. Job was simple lock change and the 30 min promise or time specific call obviously a stretch of the truth. Rung alternative locksmith and he arrived on daughters doorstep within 30 mins. Done a fantastic job.

We called the company out to replace 2 locks Matt phoned us to say he would be here in 15 minutes.He arrived and his honestly was outstanding he told us what we required and the cost was extremely reasonable and fabulous customer service we would not hesitate in recommending this company .

OK 1st I am not a locksmith and I do not have a business. I am just a normal person who lost my Brother and Father due to covid and my Mother is still under care due to covid. I had to call a locksmith as the authorities had to break into the house for my Mother who had collapsed due to Covid...Neighbours had left flowers and cards in memory and I had to explain all of this to the Locksmith as people were approaching me to give their respects. I thought this Locksmith was the Local locksmith as advertised on their website and I asked to be sure it was them... as they sounded foreign. Even so, when the job was done I almost dropped when he told me how much it was. After complaining he told me to refer to the receipt and email the complaint. I said I would go to the shop instead as I have dealt with his boss before. The next day I went to the shop and was told by my local locksmiths that rogue locksmiths were stealing customers and they had been bombarded with complaints. So, I found out that they were not my local locksmiths and when I checked the reciept to make my complaint it had another locksmith's name on it called "Alltime Locksmiths" an Emergency Call out Locksmiths. I decided to research them too and found out that they had also stolen another established locksmith's name. Hence not only had I been severely overcharged but Book-A-Local Locksmiths falsified who they were and subcontracted a rogue emergency call-out locksmiths to do the job. I have evidence to substantiate everything I have stated and have reported this matter to Master Locksmith Association also the CAB and trading standards.
Book A Local Locksmith I dear you to challenge this review as this is the truth and nothing but the truth. YOU ARE A ROGUE OUTFIT !!!

We waited for almost 3 hours in the freezing cold after being told someone would be with us within the hour ,we chased after this and they said they would be 20 mins and 24 hours later they still have not turned up or sent an apology.
We then then contacted Key-Tek who had us into the house in 15minutes .We are based in Basingstoke

Didn’t turn up despite having had conversations with a chap called Chris all bloody day via wattsapp.

DO NOT USE!!!!! If I could give this company zero stars I would. Absolute bunch of cowboys. They quoted me 48 pounds for a lockout, assuming it was a simple job with no drilling (which it was - took the guy all of 30 seconds). The locksmith was supposed to be here in 40 mins but took over two hours. Then it turned out that contrary to their website which claims them to be a ‘locally based business, NOT a Call Centre/National company, nor a franchise like many others advertising in Google)’ they are nothing of the sort. The guy who turned up was an independent locksmith, contracted by a company called Locksub, who were nothing to do with the company I called. He charged me £59 call out fee plus £79 labour plus VAT - a total of £141 for less than a minute’s work. Had I actually been quoted the correct price I would have called around first. I called the office to complain. They put the phone down on me and have put the phone down on me every one of the 17 times I have called since. Absolute joke. Cowboys pretending to be something they aren’t and taking advantage of people who are in a fix.

Fantastic service,was able to get an appointment in less than 24 hours (was a non-emergency call out, but I’m still impressed with the quick turnaround).
The locksmith (Michael) was on-time,polite and explained the process from start to finish. A class act,cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very good customer service, would use again

He was rude and aggressive on the phone. Will complain but find it hard to find email address I was quoted 65 for a change of lock and 75 for British standard lock. When i guy looked at the lock he said it was an insulation and wanted to change 120 x vat. The guy on the phone who gave the quote know it was. He justified the change in change, giving the reason it would take more than 5minutes which a change of lock would take. He changed 220 inc vat. total rip off.

Dreadful company. I called a local Sevenoaks company and was impressed with response time. I left my husband to pay as I went to work. I needed a new lock and handle, since my handle was missing. Guy turned up from All Time Locksmiths, totally different name and phone number. Charged me £234, same barrel, same old broken key, same handle without a replacement, so couldn’t even open the door! I called to complain, was told that I couldn’t speak to a manager, he would call me back, but he didn’t me back. They hung up on me 4 times and would not take my calls. Guy eventually came back in a very bad mood and put on a new handle, very poor job, very poor lock. This is a call centre and work is outsourced. Not a local company at all. Terrible customer service, extremely rude and poor service. I will NEVER use this firm again or recommend it. The charges are completely different from their website, what a bunch of rip off cowboys. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Needed someone out today and was here in 35 minutes which was great. Bit peeved it cost me 550 but cant fault the guy who did the work. 550 though... 260 for a barrel!?

I've used Book A-locallocksmith before, and I will continue to use them. It's always a quick and easy process. I've lived in the area for a few years now and only come to Book A-locallocksmith. Great service at competitive prices!

Professional and quick. I replace my lock with high security. The technician who comes was very professional, come on time, and didn't charge me high. Definitely will use them again.

They were so kind to make me keys when they were clearly in the middle of maintaining inventory. The service was great. He was very nice and professional. So quick. Definitely trust these guys.

This locksmith was very professional and SUPER helpful! I was able to send him pictures of my lock and he was able to immediately help me with my problem. Very personable and professional. Thank you once again! I would highly recommend them.

Quoted total of £50 call out charge and then £120 for a basic UPVC lock replacement. This is well above average. Subsequently then billed for £250.00. My wife was too tired to dispute the over charge having just been on a 16 hour night shift as a doctor for the NHS. The service is appalling to take advantage and charge more than quoted even with VAT added, the final bill was more than quoted for no given reason.

The “lock option” we were charged for, is not the lock option we chose. The monies owed will be claimed as this company unlawfully overcharged us. We also emailed prior to review and have received no response to date.

The price agreed was £170 which was then changed to £170 + VAT but the amount then charged to our card was £250. This is unlawful and will be claimed back via our credit card.
